I used to use Picmonkey religiously at the beginning of my art/photography career, for user-friendly photoshop type features, and professional looking photoediting. People had no idea I was not using the typical industry softwares! The more time you spend using it the more you are able to figure out how to get advanced jobs done through their different features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about PicMonkey? The reason I stopped using Picmonkey was it's only downfall- the price. I had used them for years, and as they gained more popularity and features, the free options for editing drastically narrowed. Recommendations to others considering PicMonkey: Decide at what point you should upgrade to professional software. I solved the problem of professional-looking graphic design and photography before I knew how to use the professional softwares and was able to do it for significantly less per month. It's easy to use this program for quick edits such as cropping or auto enhance, or collaging photos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about PicMonkey? Not all of the tools are available with a basic membership and the premium membership is overpriced, not not mention the premium tools aren't that' great. Ex - teeth whitening or skin perfection - neither tool looks natural when applied. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering PicMonkey: It's a good basic tool but is not the standard tool for enhancing and editing graphics and images. If you need to straighten a photo, this is great and quick. If you want to completely adjust HSL & tone curve, this is not the right product for you. I like the fact that you can edit your pictures or create a design anywhere, without needing to download a program. It is very intuitive and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about PicMonkey? I find it too expensive for the service they offer. If you are a professional graphic designer, this tool will probably not be enough, and yet it is too pricey for an amateur use. I also recently had an unpleasant experience with a charge for this app. I requested a free trial period and used Picmonkey only once. Then, some time afterwards, I got charged 66 euros to my credit card without any notice, which was much more than a monthly fee and was not the price for an annual subscription either (I still don't know what this charge was). Thankfully, I contacted my bank and managed to get my money back some weeks later, but still, it was an unpleasant experience, and customer support was extremely difficult to reach (no phone number and almost no contact info on their website, and they took a long while to answer my many, many emails...). Recommendations to others considering PicMonkey: BE CAREFUL with the free trial period as you can be charged without notice once the period ends and their policy does NOT include reimbursements.
