What I like most about Phrase is the automatic confirmation of identical segments, which saves a lot of time on large projects. I also appreciate the ability to sort strings by different criteria, such as confirmed/unconfirmed status or fuzzy match percentages, as this makes project management much easier.

What I like least about Phrase is finding and navigating to assigned jobs. I find the job lists somewhat unintuitive, and in many cases I prefer to ask the Project Manager to send me a direct link to the assignment.

Even when I receive and use the link, I often struggle to find the same job later from within Phrase itself. As a result, I end up clicking the original link again. However, after I have already accepted the assignment, that same link often no longer takes me directly to the job, which can be frustrating and time-consuming. In the Q&A section more functions had disappeared, so the overview is now simpler and I could save time. The DeepL engine is being removed from the platform (I do not know if this is good or bad yet.) NextMT appeared on the platform but I do not use it (I use Google engine), so I have no experience with it. Other than that, there weren't many new things in the system for me. The DeepL engine is being removed from the platform. We have lots of MT segments and the system is often unable to pull in the desired terms from the termbase list, so they must be manually click and insert into the target language field. (At the first time we thought that the engineers did not attach the termbase excel at all.) Best MT I have ever used. As always, human supervision is needed, especially when working when sensitive content (as is my case). There is one feature that Phrase offers that, in my experience, is not very common: creating a term base for letting translators which word NOT to use. Unfortunately, in some of my recent projects, an error message appeared when I tried to confirm segments and save my progress. Not all the progress I had made was lost, but confirmed segments are used to track progress. Therefore, the rest of the team was unable to tell how much work I had actually completed. Phrase TMS is an excellent tool for me as a translator, receiving jobs from clients. In the job overview, I can see which jobs are new, started on, or completed. The editing view, where I add my translations, is also very nice. When I have a phrase that is very similar to an old one, Phrase gives me the translation of the older, similar phrase and shows me exactly where the two phrases differ. It's also easy to work with Term Banks and add terms when needed.

If there is something to complain about, then it's the fact that Phrase doesn't necessarily recognize conjugated forms of terms. The platform is very intuitive to use and it's easy to work with either as a translator or as a project manager. When setting up projects, the step by step format is very helpful, as you cannot forget about anything when creating the jobs and assigning them. The content hub has a lot of insightful and helpful information in case you have doubts. Phrase has been optimizing the use of AI, but it's not forcing it on you if you don't feel like using it, so that's also great. I still really enjoy using the Figma integration in my daily UI/UX workflow. Being able to create and edit localization keys directly from Figma makes the process much faster and more intuitive.
