PHPstorm is our primary choice when it comes to developing powerful PHP Web applications. It is really easy to debug our code whether its PHP, Javascript or XML. With PhpStorm you have great addons to work with frameworks easier and they make your life much easier. Instead of having the documentation open all the time you can just use the autofill option for example. I used it to get comfortable programming with symfony and shopware for example. But not just that, there are a lot of extras given, you can easily connect to the databases you are working with, you have terminals and git / vcs support. There are alot of handy dandy plugin such as github plugin and autocomplete. The standard autocomplete is fine but with the plugin makes your life so much easier.
