What do you like best about PhpStorm?

"A modern IDE power packed with everything a developer requires"

What do you like best about PhpStorm?

There are multiple things that I really like about PhpStorm; some of them are :

1. It provides an easy integration with GIT, which opens up a lot of opportunities for a developer to secure and synchronize his/her code and, ultimately, the project.

2. PhpStorm provides a coder with a lot of shortcuts during the development, which assists the developer and makes the code time-efficient and effective.

3. The UI/UX is so friendly and clean it gives the developer a pretty warm environment while coding. Moreover, it's damn easy to install and run that any naive person can start coding with PhpStorm easily.

4. It offers a list of plugins to install and make your job easy. I have installed many extensions according to my coding tactics, and I may tell you it provides an excellent level of comfort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

Apart from all these positives, there are some negatives which need to be improvised :

1. Foremost thing which I count as a negative factor will be its support. PhpStorm only supports PHP, HTML, CSS, and JS, which I think limits the use of this IDE, and the user has to install other platforms to handle other programming languages. I think this should be fixed and it should support almost every language.

2. To run smoothly and seamlessly, PhpStorm needs a good hardware with an excellent RAM capacity. On a low-spec system, it runs very laggy and provides a lot of latency.

3. Where many IDE is free and provides everything a developer needs, PHPStorm is a paid IDE. What the pricing of this platform should be is a debatable topic, but yeah, I think all free IDE's with similar capabilities holds a plus point against PhpStorm on this. What problems is PhpStorm solving and how is that benefiting you?

There are many problems that I have solved with PhpStorm; some of are :

1. Many IDE's I had used before PhpStorm does not provided me with any GIT support but after proper installation of PhpStorm, my development projects are synchronized and very easy to be operated on.

2. One more thing in which I have felt relieved after the installation of PhpStorm is the debugging of the project. PhpStorm has a very positive point over all of its competitors when it comes to debugging; this platform provides a way better procedure for you to make the project debug. What do you like best about PhpStorm?

phpstrom comes with the complete package tools integrated like phpcs as well as command prompt (Terminal), which fulfill all my needs to do code & run the commands as I am working on a symphony-based framework. The interface is also friendly and clean with the dark & light theme available which gives the developer cool enviornment while coding. It is easy to install & configure. What do you like best about PhpStorm?

I love this IDE. I came from VS Code thinking that was the best, but boy was I wrong. I love the customization that is allowed here, from visual themes to other plugins to help with your workflows. The GUI for git and terminal are also an incredibly awesome bonus. Managing projects is also a breeze with this editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhpStorm?

The only negative comment I have is in terms of booting up. While it is not extremely slow like other bloated IDEs of the past, I do notice that it takes a bit longer to get started. Make sure you have your coffee with you when you get your day started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
