Good Database Management with User Interface **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Gunarto Sindoro N. | Research Fellow, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2019 **What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?** - Ease of access with added simple security interface (login). - Visualize the records and indices easily. - Allow CSV export with a few clicks. **What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?** Cannot handle database with a massive size: sometimes crash when the data are too big. **Recommendations to others considering phpMyAdmin:** Only use phpMyAdmin when the data are still small (prototyping stage). It is useful to generate the Create or Update query if the number of columns is a lot and it can ascertain the correctness as well. **What problems is phpMyAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Working with MySQL database: to generate the Create or Update query without too much hassle. ### 2. I can install wherever I need. ### 3. Fallback option for Mysql GUI **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Jared T. | Solutions Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2012 **What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?** Solid and predictable, free, the most popular GUI for mysql so it is relatively bug free compared to some more contemporary tools. **What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?** Very stodgy UI, not very sleek. Appears very out of date, there are other free but better designed options. **Recommendations to others considering phpMyAdmin:** I use it when I have no other option, i.e. the only GUI option for a particular webhost.
