"My team's experience with PhotoShelter for Brands has been great."
5/5
What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?

The platform integrates with our workflow well, assets are easily accessible to stakeholders, and our users have no trouble navigating it. Our team's use PhotoShelter every day and adapted easily to it.

Also the curstomer support has been timely, intentional, and quite helpful. Our transition to PhotoShelter was also quite smooth. We have an internal Marketing team of nearly 90 people and our internal teams transitioned well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?

Our teams would looooove more flexibility with Workspaces. Currently, invited users have no control over the workspaces they create without a Library staff member granting them permission to it.

Also, currently if a gallery or collection deviates from its root permissions, it will appear as a standalone gallery/collection in the Portal view. As you can imagine, this get's quite messy in appearance and the appeal of PhotoShelter for us was to be able to grant users permissions specifically and not necessarily grant them permission across the board. If they could still apear under their root collection despite permissions, that would be amazing.

Currently if pairing keyword searches (e.g. "Athletics & Football") when you initiate the search it will delete the second half of the search and only search "Athletics." You then have to add back "& Football" to complete the search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Difficult Access for Non-Admins Overshadows Great Tagging and AI Features"
2.5/5
What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?

What I like the best is the optiong of tagging photos, the organization aspect of it all and the new AI tool. I also like that it gives you the option to re-size your photos when you are downloading them; however, I do think they need to update standard sizing for different popular formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?

When you are not an administrator, it is really hard to find specific folders to galleries or get/request access to these. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Complete & holistic photography organization solution."
5/5
What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?

Eliminates the needs for multiple links from other asset storage solutions we deploy. Photoshelter is the first place I go to and if everything is tagged correctly, it's incredibly easy and fast to find. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?

It does take time to stand up the system properly to organize things in a way that's effective for all level of users. It's also imperative to train any photographers plugging into the system to tag photos the same way so search functions consistently across photographers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"5 year user - Started from scratch"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?

My favorite thing about PhotoShelter is that it's reliable and functional. With so many new products coming out, most I've found have more bugs that solutions. Like anything, it's a learning process to figure out how you'd like the back end and user experience set up and doing the metadata work on the digital asset management piece – but when done correctly it's extremely easy to use. After a matchday, when I walk through the office, every single computer from every department has PhotoShelter up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?

I think one of my growth points for PhotoShelter is the search ability function. There are times where I can search for keywords that I know are tagged on images and within folders where they should appear (or searching across all galleries and collections) and nothing will appear. Interested to learn how to avoid that. The last thing I will say is cost continues to go up as our archive grows which has made it more difficult to budget for as the years go on. What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?

I like its organizational features, that we have control over how content is accessed, and how simple the overall onboarding process has been. We rarely have to help our users understand its functions - it's intuitive and needs very little explanation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Photoshelter is a great way to organize your photos across your team!"
4/5
What do you like best about PhotoShelter for Brands?

Having one place to keep all our photos for the Arboretum that can be shared with all staff members is awesome. We used to use a simple folder system to store our images and it took so long to find images. Now I love that I can use the search feature and find specifically what I am looking for within seconds, without going through a ton of folders. I have had one-on-one calls with someone on the development team who listened to my problems and helped find solutions for me. I have never had that level of customer support from an online service. I use photoshelter weekly! I love the workspaces which are kind of like working folders that you can share with people on your team, external designers etc. I am constantly making them and using them for projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PhotoShelter for Brands?

With the change over to the new Lumin system, I am still getting the hang of a few things. Specifically, filing images is taking me a long time but I have been working with the custom support team to find ways to make this system faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
