Can easily move on different options and serval person can work on the platform at the same time. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** The fact that we need to use the subsection or the networking spaces as breakout rooms, it is quite different for the participants to return to the main room afterwards and sometimes some patients are lost roaming around still trying to figure out where to go. By the time, the session is over. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** So far we are still sorting out the issue of overwriting messages especially when we have the same speakers or moderators for several events. But still, no solution has yet been communicated. ### 4. FAQs explained the steps and it was super easy to get it up and running ! We had a FREE event in which we wanted qualified participants to attend. Used the 'Waitlist feature' and it worked like a charm. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** The dashboard tutorial was on old version. However, the support was helpful and there to guide steps by step wherever got stuck. Even for a FREE event, it had to go through Purchase ticket with a $0 price. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** With COVID19, in-person events are not possible. Just a ZOOM session was not enough. Created a Pheedloop session to have virtual exhibitions as well as networking sessions. ### 5. It is a relatively simple interface that follows a fairly set pattern, but that simplicity makes navigation of the event site easier and less complicated. I also prefer the business model PheedLoop has adopted where the the client fully manages their own event and does not need someone from PheedLoop to go in and do any of the work in putting an event together. For me, the not having that middle-person to have to go through makes the process of putting a site together easier. The built-in networking tools that attendees and vendors have access to are very robust, and one of the key selling features. The built-in single and group chat and videoconference is a great feature. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** The singles biggest issue I have ran in to is not really something that PheedLoop even has control over. For the built-in networking tools to work, the browser needs access to the microphone and camera. For attendees on company-managed devices this can sometimes be a tricky IT issue to navigate as the company IT settings limit those permissions. Again, not anything PheedLoop has control over, and it's something that any browser-based event platform is going to contend with. Otherwise I do not have a single dislike. There are some small things I would like to see improved as the platform develops, but nothing that I would put down to a 'dislike.' **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** For our events, we have had great responses from attendees that they find the platform looks great and is easy to use. For all of our events, we have worked with the client to create a lobby welcome video that outlines some of the basic features and navigation of the site, and that seems to be a big help for the attendees, as they are seeing the virtual site for the first time. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** The networking features built-in to the site have been a primary selling feature of the platform, as well as the ability to integrate natively services such as Zoom, Bluejeans, and other meeting platforms. As different events require different specific means of broadcasting, meeting, etc, PheedLoop's flexibility in that you can control specifically what shows up on a session page when you go 'Live' means that we can use the platform very differently based on the needs of the client. For one event me might be using Wowza to broadcast the livestream, another event might be using Zoom or Bluejeans to run concurrent sessions, or another might just need the page to link out to a different service, but all of these can easily be put together in the dashboard and tailored to the event's needs. ### 13. We pivoted to virtual in a matter of weeks and delivered a very successful, seamless virtual event spread over 7 weeks featuring close to 100 speakers, 4 concurrent streams, keynotes, videos, exhibitors, sponsors, q+a, integrated with ClickMeeting for live streams of presentations. We were told it was an ambitious plan and other suppliers wished us luck. Their response time to emails is unbelievable. They also take their customers' recommendations and suggestions very seriously. They are constantly updating their platform, and we've even seen two of our recommendations come to life within weeks. We feel like our business is important and valued, and that the PheedLoop team is there to personally ensure that our events come to life as we envision them. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** PheedLoop might not have all the bells and whistles that some other virtual event platforms have, but they are growing , and FAST! The platform is continually undergoing improvements, and adding features more quickly than we can keep up with sometimes. This can make for some growing pains (having to adjust to their ongoing changes). But overall, we're very pleased that they are dedicated to improving the platform at such an astonishing speed. Some other improvements we'd like to see are: * a more robust virtual exhibit hall (more design flexibility for vendors, more reporting tools, and improved communication without having to buy into the lead-retrieval system, which we aren't able to use) * more options for gamification (tied to specific user-actions within the portal) * allow participants to find other colleagues based on their location or other bio search tags (currently can only search by name, a big limitation if you don't really know anyone!) * built-in live polling tool and Q&A tool (we currently use the Slido integration, but would be nice to have everything hosted in one place) * a picture-in-picture livestream option that follows you around the platform We have full confidence in the PheedLoop team that they are working on these features and more! **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** This is a great platform if you are planning on rolling out more than a handful of virtual events. The onboarding and training process would be likely too onerous for someone who is looking for a single-event solution. Also, PheedLoop has a crazy amount of features for the price. It's the perfect fit for us. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** When the pandemic hit, our in-person conferences ground to a halt. We provide medical education to physicians, and we didn't have the luxury of just playing wait & see. We had to pivot fast (within 2 months) to a fully-virtual and interactive delivery method. After an extensive environmental scan, we decided on PheedLoop (Canadian-based servers were a huge plus for us). While it's been an anxiety-ridden process for us as planners, we've received such amazing feedback from our clients and our learners about the platform, and the ability to network with colleagues during the event -- a critical feature that we needed to be addressed -- the stress and worry has been worth it! Now that we have several events under our belts, we are excited to see what other features and improvements PheedLoop has planned. We know our experience will only get better. ### 20. It was a bit clunky to navigate for the attendees. The helpful videos would benefit from having descriptions of what is going to be covered in them even times of where it will be covered. They can be very long to sit through if you are just looking for a quick answer. If you are having a tradeshow, the lead retrieval is a must. This will save you, your attendees and exhibitors from frustration trying to connect during the virtual event. I know that when we moved to virtual so did the rest of the world. I hope that things are more manageable for the Pheedloop team. It was a bit frustrating trying to get an answer when in the process of building out an event. This is also where descriptions and times of what is discussed in each tutorial video would be helpful! **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Speaker Management - The process for us before Pheedloop was cumbersome. We wanted a platform that managed the proposal process, the grading process and uploading of the details. We wanted to ensure our committee members were able to access the system easily to grade the proposals and that the speakers had a place to upload photos, sign contracts and ensure that their details were all correct. ### 25. Some things that worked really well included: Gamification Virtual Tournament - attendees became very competitive and instead of 3 prizes we had to award 4 people the top prize because they put in the work to find all codes Registration - it was fairly easy to set up and process people Chat Function - people used the chat features a lot during the sessions and to network Platform - the backend inputs were pretty easy to manage when you have 2 months to learn it. Grateful attendees have access to their account for 8 more months. Event Website - Looked very clean and was a great tool for communication before the event **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** Our event was 3 days long and there were a handful of minor updates we would like Pheedloop to consider to make the virtual experience even better: - We should be able to turn on and off ourselves lobby banner areas (etc.) if desired without having technical support remove it. - Virtual Event should be able to show all of the same tabs as the website. We would have liked to see the sponsors page in the event page because we hid tournament codes under each sponsor so attendees had to leave the event page. -Exhibitors would have liked to directly network with people visiting their booth by selecting the name versus having to look them up under the Networking tab. -For sessions fully recorded we would have liked to just upload the video but we learned that even though a session may be scheduled at a certain time that it would play for people from the beginning at any point in time. So we had to plan for live sessions in order to keep people on the same track. -Maybe the pricing has changed but I would only charge ~$500 for technical support for an event up to 3-5 days long because we ended up paying for 3 days and we probably sent 2 emails max. Once a team is up and running I would assume there is little support needed. -The certification survey that would pop up during each technical session was difficult to manage. It is based on a timer and some people claimed it never popped up. Not sure the best solution but this was probably the only functionality that attendees expressed issues with during the event. -Another suggestion made was to add a location for attendees to post job postings which is always a need in our field. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** None during the set up of the event but they were very helpful when we had a question or request. **Official Response from George Wong:** > Hi there! The thing is we book our live support agents to be available for the full day because events can email/call any time and they need to be available. Some events use it less, some use it excessively. We hope that makes sense! Sounds like you know your way around PheedLoop quite well, so perhaps live support is something you don't actually need anymore. - For the CE credit tracking survey, oftentimes attendees who claim they didn't see it is because they weren't actually engaged in the full session (which really is the point of certifying attendance). With that said, we have some exciting new updates coming out for CE tracking in Q1 of 2021. - Yes! There are tonnes of career fairs running on PheedLoop. We're not sure if you used our resume submission options through exhibitor/employer lead capture, but also note that you can create custom tabs in the portals where you can list jobs or embed full third-party websites if employers have job portals. I loved how by inputting the event's general details ONE TIME I can see the results made in the Virtual Event Portal and in the Event Webpage. And of course, it auto-updates as well...beautiful! **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** I would like to see more options for exhibitors. Although the page for exhibitors is indeed slick and works well, we do have some clients who are quite partial to the "Trade Show" look. What I mean by this is that they want to see their booth, their signs, their products all together at a booth. They find that this is more representative of a trade show type event and that attendees are more likely to engage with the content when it's displayed in a familiar way. We have heard that some people do not like the look of the exhibitors' page since it looks like just another web page. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** I would advise other event planners to make the most of the training time. Seriously, read and watch all that you can. I would recommend setting aside a day or two to just look through all the training materials. Only focus on this. It is self-guided but if you have the time to read and watch absolutely everything you can, you have a better feel for the platform and what your options are on Pheedloop. I found that knowing all the potential options helped me discuss the platform more holistically with my team and my clients. Then you can schedule the live webinars - even if you feel like you won't use all the information it is good to know your options. Many of these events have happened annually, so how can we make their virtual event resemble their previous ones. So managing expectations realistically is also a challenge we face. This is a big one for me because we all learn in different ways and making the information available can sometimes be hard. This time is so stressful for our clients, as it is for everyone I am sure. Learning something new can be intimidating, especially for those not as comfortable with computers and online things.
