This was annoying and frustrating to have to be tied to the computer to activate each session. The exhibitor booths are nice but also fairly restrictive in format and this has caused some friction with larger exhibitors. The website builder is to clunky for non-technical users to use well. They are constantly adding new features and always open to feedback from their clients. On the administrator side the set up is easy to understand and you can create customized experiences based on the specific needs of your program easily. You do not need to do a ton of pre training in order to start using the site. Their team is always available for questions and their online help features with videos and suggestions is a great tool. It is one of the best systems I have seen out there with value for money, features, flexibility and ease of use. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** Currently there is not the cool lounge table/speed dating concept that many of the other platforms out there have. Also while there is excellent multiple language toggle on the virtual platform that is not currently available on the microsite for the conferences. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Many of our clients this is the first virtual experience for them and they want to be able to connect and engage with their clients, staff, teams in a simple way that does not require a massive capital investment. With Pheedloop we are able to design custom experiences and have a site that is just what they need with their own branding and look and feel. As we used the product, the product grew and was able to better meet our needs. The features released keep up with the market demand and do not leave you second guessing whether a different platform would put you in a better position now. The support is easy and friendly to work with. We like that when we resume in person events we will be able to continue using PheedLoop and not have to learn another platform. Our attendees really enjoyed their experience on the platform. We had several post-event survey comments indicating it was the best platform they had used since events had moved online, including some of the platforms we had chosen for other events! Sometimes we hear feedback from colleagues internally how they like some of the "fluffy" features on event platforms, like being able to use emojis in chat and want us to chose a platform based around a non-essential feature. With Pheedloop we were able to accommodate these requests and have the full functionality needed for an event. I have been surprised by how few platforms include accessibility features, Pheedloop knocked it out of the park. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** We struggled a bit with the email communications area. Not being able to track emails was a bit hard. We cant wait for an update to the session feedback surveys as attendees didnt like the popup. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Pheedloop gives us a fast way to manage our events that does not create any bottlenecks. We were able to have more flexibility in our event whether it be scheduling and uploading content or adjusting graphics. Being able to do it ourselves made our lives much easier. ### 19. The pre-roll video size was limited to our Exhibitors. **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** PheedLoop has a high level of flexibility for a huge variety of events. We had numerous compliments from attendees on how easy the system was to use once they had logged in, and got major thumbs up from our MarComm branding advisors. We loved the ability to pull data that we needed at anytime, and to create custom tags and categories. We were experimenting with our first virtual event and after seeing how the event comes together can't wait to do our next one! **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** Only a few small things. I would love a "date added" field to be included on manual attendee uploads. It would also be great to have a Google Meet integration for users who are not on Zoom Pro. We were configuring the platform while confirming our event programming so also faced some challenges in fully understanding what the system was capable of... we learnt a lot for the next one! **Recommendations to others considering PheedLoop:** Do it! We "wasted" a lot of time shopping around on different platforms and would have benefitted more from choosing Pheedloop from the get-go and building the program right away. There are so many ways to customize it that it can be daunting at first, but it makes a WORLD of difference. Imagine trying to write a novel using the basic Notepad on your desktop and not the specialized Word processing software... it seems overwhelming but once you realize how to use it you feel like you can do anything. Some people are hesitant to learn "yet another platform", but as an event planner you can really streamline the experience for your attendees — our attendees were raving about how much they loved it by the end! **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We run Career Fairs for university students and need to connect employers and students in a meaningful way. Anyone can read a job posting — the discussions and presentations that happen at a Career Fair are what give our students an edge and help employers attract the talent they're searching for. We couldn't have asked for a better platform to do this! So many virtual fair platforms are gimmicky and put too much focus on recreating the "hall" experience, when what's really important is having a clear interface that is easy for employers to customize and simple for a student to navigate. The integrated meet & stream was an excellent resource, and we loved that students could quickly send their resumes or portfolios directly in the platform. We loved having reps from everywhere in the country able to participate, rather than those who could successfully book the full day off to park on campus. Having a schedule of mini-presentations and other networking activities using additional modules really helped elevate the experience. ### 27. You can use it for registration, Call for proposals, sponsorship, Mobile App as well as the virtual platform. We won't get the chance to try any other modules this year as we had contracts with other suppliers already signed, but if our experience with them in June is all we expect, we will look at moving all our modules with them for future events. One upside is the fact that we have total control of the back end. We don't have to work with a third party supplier to upload our sessions, speakers or sponsors, we can do it ourselves. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** Our experience is quite limited for now but one downside would be the bilingual aspect of the platform and the whole process around adding french language for your event. I don't think I was able to use the platform to its full capacity. I was really surprised by all the additional features. As I got familiar with the various integrations I slowly integrated them to create a better virtual event experience. The live support was a huge asset as I frequently used it and they provided prompt needed assistance when building out my event. I like how I can manage information and tasks related to the event such as lead retrieval, contracts, polls, designs, file uploads and more. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** I think the registration process was very confusing for some of our participants and it deterred them from participating. The prescribed complex mandatory password confused many. Our event lasted for several reoccurring weeks. Due to covid, we thought it would be best to have once a week event and for participants, they didn't know they had to enter the prescribed password. Many of our participants are not tech-savvy and are not showing up on time due to the confusion. Our events are free and to have the registration process was difficult to understand for some of our participants. The platform has everything an event professional needs and it makes it so simple to set up a professional-looking virtual event- even if your team is small! I loved how PheedLoop made it easy to update a speaker and session description once- and have it populate everywhere from the event platform to the conference website. The ability to have "presence detection" and see who was in the room with you at any given time was very useful. And finally, PheedLoop was the only platform on the market that I could find that new about the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards- and actually met level AA. **What do you dislike about PheedLoop?** I did find that the Networking components didn't work as seamlessly as other platforms. It was hard to drive traffic there. I also had a few attendees that had trouble accessing the platform if they weren't using Chrome. **What problems is PheedLoop solving and how is that benefiting you?** PheedLoop not only made it possible for us to transition from an in-person conference to a virtual one in just 2 months but also allowed us to reach a wider range of attendees than ever before. It also helped with the planning committe's workflow. We had always struggled to get speaker bios and session descriptions updated, on our website and on the agenda. PheedLoop completely eliminated that challenge with the automated task reminders.
