Most time trackers are built for hourly billing. They tell you how many hours you worked, but when the client agreed a fixed price upfront, that’s only half the story. Phased connects the time you track to the budget you planned. Split a project into phases, each with its own budget, and see where the time goes and which part of the project is starting to run over. As you work, Phased shows how much of each budget is used, how many safe hours are left, and the real hourly rate the fixed fee is earning you so far. Phases that are approaching or over budget are flagged, so you can act while the project is still running, not after it ends. Finished projects help you price the next one. You see what the work really earned per hour and which phases took longer than planned. When a client asks for work outside the agreement, mark those entries as out of scope. They’re tracked separately, so you can tell a low estimate from real scope creep, price the extra work, and show it clearly on the client report. Track time on a weekly calendar, with a timer, or by adding entries by hand. Organise work into clients, projects, phases and tasks, and reuse templates for recurring jobs. Phase, project and time reports come straight from your tracked time. Each report is saved as a version, so later changes never alter a report you’ve already sent. Reports can carry your studio name, logo, client details, agreed fees and any additional work. Phased is built for one person: no team seats, roles or shared logins.
