One of the awesome softwares out there in the market for code management. In a way cheaper alternative to the popular Microsoft TFS. Phabricator is loaded with lots of features like version controlling, in built reviewing, sprint management.

The software is very useful for people who are working in Agile methodology. It helps maintaining the sprints/increments in the agile methodology development. One can tag people in the reviews which again is a beautiful feature for people to get notified.

Nothing as such to dislike in Phabricator. When switching from any other software, the interface might look little clumsy. But again that is because of the loads of awesome features bundled into this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its more like Facebook these days - with the only difference of serious guys around. Some of the pluses of using Phabricator:

1) Suggestions and text completions, allowing you to tag people/task in comments or descriptions.

2) Better and clean interface, easy to add tags/ projects

3) Clean workboard for each project

4) Better mailing and IRC bot support

Well, its difficult to find faults, but in the latest update, they disabled the vertical scroll of the whole page in project workboard. Its bit messy to maintain without a CDN too, with its daemons. What I liked best about Phabricator is the number of features that it offers and its solid integration with the other tools created by Facebook. What I dislike about Phabricator is that iIt is overwhelming to use at first because of the sheer number of its features. However, I got used to it after a few days and eventually made me more productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Phabricator offers unparallelled power and flexibility without having to be a wizard in the field. When it was first implemented in our company we were able to simply pick it up and run with it without any training at all. It simply worked. This was not only the case for the programmers, but even non-technical staff were more than able to jump in with minimal instruction.

The intuitive interface for triaging tasks makes it very easy for management to organize priorities and even easier for technical staff. The automated email notifications when task related operations are performed makes it extremely easy for communicating progress and questions back to the task subscribers without any extra work.

The wiki is also a gem in and of itself. Being fully integrated into the overall system allows effortless linking between tasks, projects, repositories, specific commits, branches, etcs... all from one place. The Phabricator development suite literally has every module you can think of.

It supports Git, HG(Mercurial), and SVN. It allows you to do pre-merge reviews (Differential) or post-commit reveiws (Audit). The built in Wiki allows you to document everything you could possible dream of. The built in chat server is very convenient for having those nerdy PHP/.NET debates. I literally love everything about Phabricator but two things. The first being the install process. While there is documentation that "sort of" guides you through installing Phabricator it doesn't always present the installation instructions in a sequential order. To fully utilize Phabricator you will not only need to install the Phabricator suite, but you will also need nodejs, svn, hg, and PHPExcel. While all of these items are listed in the installation guide its sort of a jungle to figure it all out.

The second thing I dislike about Phabricator is the baked in prototype applications. I have no problem with baking them in as long as they are "sort of working". Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When users without proper knowledge messes up with the stuff, it is usually annoying to roll it back.

It has allowed a team of engineers to replace Pivotal Tracker and Github with a single tool. The UI can be a little unintuitive at times, and there is not really a tutorial for newly created users. Most engineers we hire have never used Phabricator before, and some of the most impressive functionality of Phabricator can be difficult to find within the interface for newer engineers. what i really like is how complex and variable Phabricator is, how many options and fact this product is open source which means it provides me direct inspiration for my own products and adaptation to my needs. Well, it still require a lot of work to be perfect but I really like the progress how quickly and intensively development team work on that... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

what I really dislike is to have additional applications hidden visually as it;s really important to see all applications / options without additional clicking to somewhere else as many applications like Feed should be visible immediately in default mode...In addition i don't see very beneficial to name the application with their specific names like Phriction, Manifest or something like that. I know this looks very cool to give them their specific name but but Wiki, Tasks is good enough and I recognize immediately what's about ... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you would like a dedicated platform to perform code reviews, this is definitely a good one. You can associate as many git projects as you can, and you can specify which people should audit which project, even if they're not active developers on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
