How much does pgMustard cost in 2026?

Who is pgMustard pricing best suited for?

According to G2 reviews of pgMustard, all reviewers are from small businesses in the computer software industry, making the Pro tier at €95/year a natural fit for solo developers, DBAs, consultants, and technical founders managing PostgreSQL performance without deep database expertise. G2 users describe using pgMustard to catch slow queries, test indexes, and optimize multi-join queries across growing datasets. Teams running multi-service PostgreSQL applications with several contributors align better with the Team plan at €500/year, which adds shared plan access and API credits. Organizations with heavier automation or larger headcounts suit the Company tier at €2,000/year.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of pgMustard?

pgMustard offers a free trial for evaluation but no permanent free tier. pgMustard's paid plans start at €95/year for the Pro tier, covering a single user with unlimited plan reviews and saved plans. The primary upgrade drivers across pgMustard's higher tiers are multi-user access and API integration: the Team plan (€500/year) supports up to 20 users and 20,000 API credits, while the Company plan (€2,000/year) adds unlimited users and 200,000 API credits. G2 reviewers specifically mention interest in CI/CD pipeline integration, a capability enabled by API access available only on Team and Company tiers.

Is pgMustard considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers rate pgMustard a perfect 5.0/5, with consistent praise for its actionable query analysis, smart filtering, and built-in explanations that go beyond what free PostgreSQL explain visualizers offer. One G2 reviewer explicitly noted initial skepticism about paying for a visualizer when free alternatives exist, but reversed that opinion after seeing pgMustard's diagnostic depth. At €95/year for a solo developer, the entry cost is low relative to the time saved diagnosing slow queries. G2 users highlight catching missing indexes and inefficient scans before production as concrete ROI. The main friction noted is manual copy-paste of explain output, not pricing.

"User-Friendly UI and Always Up-to-Date"

5/5

What do you like best about pgMustard?

The UI is friendly and easy to use. Plus, they're constantly keeping it up to date with new Postgres versions and making improvements to the product. The customer support is brilliant - super responsive and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about pgMustard?

Nothing really. Query plans use to only be stored locally, but they are permanently saved now, which is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is pgMustard solving and how is that benefiting you?

pgMustard makes it easy to figure out why my Postgres queries are slow. It's helped me test new indexes on my production database and speed up my slowest queries. As a technical founder without much Postgres experience, this has saved me numerous times when my backend API starts slowing down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
