"PFL has changed the way we engage with our members"

What do you like best?

PFL is so easy to use, once you use it once and your team at PFL walks you through everything - it's a piece of cake to manage. Dragging and dropping this into our Marketing Cloud Journey's and selecting our mail product is so simple. We are giving our members mail - digitally, on demand, their channel preference and when they want/need it... very impressive! Looking forward to seeing where we take this solution into our future automations/journeys.

What do you dislike?

Nothing comes to mind on the actual TMA solution but when working with your PFL lead, discuss early on all the fields and how you want to map "date, time stamp, delivery address etc" - may times testing we forget a field that needed to be there to create the trigger.

Recommendations to others considering the product

This in the future of digital touch points, get this on demand "print" option now!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

PFL has given us the opportunity to give our members a print piece in their digital/automated journey's... "on demand". We also are capturing our members "channel preferences" before they hit our Marketing cloud journey so now we are able to use the PFL solution to engage them with on how they want to be communicated to. A digital touch point that is making our mailing solutions better in the long run!

"Great team + product"

What do you like best?

I have used PFL at a couple of my past companies and overall had a good experience. I have used both the marketo automated print product as well as SwagIQ. I really like the customer success team - they have spent many many hours working through our first implementation and helping us get through some of the internal hurdles (like cleaning up addresses!) to make it all work.

What do you dislike?

Some of the set-up is a bit time intensive - so make sure you have a technical person on your team to help implementation go smoothly. This isn't a PFL specific issue, but getting clean address data is a huge pain point, so make sure you have a plan for how you are going to verify and ensure deliverability.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are helping to enable the sales reps to do more 1/1 marketing. Using this product supports our account-based marketing initiatives.

"Taking the Headache out of Direct Mail"

What do you like best?

PFL makes direct mail programs almost effortless. Once you're up an running you can just sit back and relax knowing every facet of your direct mail program will be automated. No more calling Fedex with tracking numbers, no more manually changing SFDC statuses and no more tracking in spreadsheets. As an added bonus, the Customer Success team rocks and work hard to make sure your programs are successful. They feel more like a member of the team than just another vendor.

What do you dislike?

It would be great if PFL could give the sender a bit more control on stopping packages or changing send dates once the program has triggered. A simple "Stop Send" button or "Resend" button on the dashboard would be amazing.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use PFL's TMA solution to open doors at our target accounts as part of our ABM strategy. Mixed with our other ABM efforts, we've seen some great results. Our program grabs the attention of our key contacts and helps break through the barrage of digital noise that they expect.

"Extremely well organized partner organization and PFL's services are saving me hours a week!"

What do you like best?

Utilizing products like SwaqIQ has quickly made direct mail my top performing tactic of generating pipeline. In a role that is highly focused on outbound, I've found that direct mail has been one of the highest priorities in my account cadence, helping me to engage key stakeholders on a personal and professional level.

What do you dislike?

I have zero negative things to say about PFL, truly my honest answer!

Recommendations to others considering the product

PFL is the industry leader, period. They've delivered on every expectation and promise that our sales organization has asked for and then some. Beyond just that, the leadership team is fantastic. I've had the opportunity to speak with most of them on a recurring basis and they are far from the type of organization that isn't to be seen post implementation. They truly care about their customers' successes and it shows in the numbers we've posted as a result of our customer relationship with them!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Direct mail on its own can be painstakingly time consuming. I was mailing out my own personalized campaigns prior to implementing SwagIQ, which would take almost my entire afternoon once to twice a week. Juggling this with meetings, it felt like a giant burden until PFL began to streamline some of Marketo's marketing and sales efforts. Direct mail is now my top performing tactic of generating pipeline and creating engagement with key stakeholders.

"Excellent Direct Mail Fulfillment - World Class Customer Support"

What do you like best?

PFL has been way more than just a solution for our direct mail needs, they have been a partner in helping us plan and execute our multi channel ABM strategy! The team at PFL will not only throw down what they are doing in order to help fix a bug, but they have been a key member of every direct mail strategy and campaign we have executed. I need to give a specific shout out to our CSM, Garett Meznarich, who goes above and beyond everyday to make us successful!

What do you dislike?

It would be great to be able to see specific things like inventory within a customer portal, along with more in depth reporting and ROI. PFL has made the commitment to start working on this and have provided the initial solutions for both of these issues.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Using PFLs TMA software/service, we are now able to execute direct mail campaigns out of Marketo on target accounts and contacts in part with our multi channel ABM campaigns. To compliment that, we use their SwagIQ software/service to allow our Sales, Support and Executive team to have full autonomy and send direct mailers out of Salesforce with three clicks! It allows them to follow up to an action or trigger in a timely and personalized way.

"Great product, idea, and people."

What do you like best?

I like that the team really takes an interest in our priorities and tries to deliver the best they can. They are engaged in a way that I think is reflective of their company culture.

What do you dislike?

I am not a huge fan of the process they have in place for their CSM program. There seems to be some issues with onboarding and handoff to the CSM team after purchase and implementation. There is also grey area around what the CSM really does vs what the procurement team does. Prices for products could also be cheaper as we often feel that our fulfillment partners for quick turnaround items (shirts for events, quick gifts, etc) come in at a much lower price.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely make sure your company is ready for direct mail campaigns that you want to scale as this is for large campaigns, not really for one-off campaigns. If that's what you want to be doing with the tool, it will end up being pricier and more time-consuming. For automated and structured campaigns, it's great. ESPECIALLY if you use triggers within Marketo.

It has helped us with connecting our ABM efforts with actual data. It also is a huge lift on our team as we were personally packaging direct mail in-house.

"Short Time, Promising Horizons"

What do you like best?

I like how involved their team is. We've only been partnered with them for a short amount of time, but PFL is a 'all hands on deck' partner. It's gratifying when a partner is proactive about offering insight into Best Practices and creative design. Their team seems to be supportive of critique and suggestions -even from new partners like us. The PFL Portal is also handy for increasing numbers without being reliant on coordinating with the Account Rep. They are also expanding the features of the PFL Portal which indicates that they are invested in growing the quality and span of their product as the business grows. It will be great to see the numbers on ROI in a year from now when we've had several campaigns fulfilled.

What do you dislike?

There have been a few issues surrounding the TMA Rule triggering. It has worked in the past with the team but seems to be inconsistent in testing. As our entire use of PFL is dependent on automation based on input from three systems, it would be nice if the triggers were more consistent. [written in advance of first automation-based TMA triggers in Salesforce].

Recommendations to others considering the product

Product tools are reasonably intuitive and easy to navigate. If you are in a Salesforce org, having a knowledgeable admin helps in reducing time spent on setup as well as creating automation work-arounds for reporting.

We are able to more efficiently engage our potential clients by rewarding them for interaction and celebrate or reengage existing clients with special touches that emphasize our respect for our relationship with them.

"Keep it simple to start"

What do you like best?

We loved the concept of sending out directing mail in an automated fashion based on engagement. The Eloqua integration was fairly easy to set up. We also use them in conjunction with Swag IQ directly out of Salesforce.

What do you dislike?

It wasn't as seamless to find errors as I would have liked. We have run into a few issues with the quality of the print materials, but were able to work through them quickly.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I think it's a good product. I would suggest starting slow and scaling to make sure its meeting your needs and executing the way you expect. We made the mistake of launching too many complex campaigns at the same time and a few things were lost in the shuffle.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are trying to drive demand for our product by furthering our prospects through the sales cycle. We had real-time automation and can stop using mail houses and complicated list management. With the Swag I Q application we have given our sales team the ability to send out materials right to their prospects. Admins no longer have to help mail out special gifts to our prospects, it saves time money and materials on our end, plus they can personalize their messages.

"Best Opener an SDR can have!"

What do you like best?

The concept is fantastic. Make custom gifts to send to your prospects based on the marketing intelligence you have, to make as warm of an opener as possible for our outbound ABM tactics.

The team is great, in particular, Nadia from the BDR team is always sharing best practices with me and has been very helpful, even shouting us out on LinkedIn.

What do you dislike?

From what I heard from our marketing team, we had some troubles with deadlines. we love the product and concept, some times it can just be tough to get what we want, when we want it. From our leadership, the problem was they say they will have it done by a certain date, but don't, and then don't reach out to explain what's going on.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Do it! it's a great tool to get your foot in the door, start up a smaller SDR team with warmer leads, or just get your name out there.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Getting us more meetings with outbound priority targets, getting our foot in the door with larger companies.

"Great platform overall"

What do you like best?

I really love that this platform integrates with Marketo. We're able to trigger alerts and tasks to our sales team as shipments are successfully delivered to the recipient. It makes it easier to add direct mail as a part of an integrated campaign program.

What do you dislike?

There is a lot of work involved to set up programs with the vendor. We tend to use the platform for one off campaigns as opposed to repeat/continuous programs, which is how I think the platform would work best to automate programs like onboarding for example.

Be prepared for a long onboarding process.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Better visibility into how our direct mail programs are performing. Up-to-date info on delivery that allows us to trigger tasks for the sales team to follow up and act. Sending really unique pieces allows us to stand out from our competition and turn heads at target accounts that have never responded to us before.

"Absolutely amazing resource"

What do you like best?

Their ability to find opportunities for increase touches, engagement, and conversion in any campaign and marketing plan is amazing.

What do you dislike?

How few meat kits I've gotten in the mail recently ;) Seriously though, there is very little to dislike. It would be nice to have more direct integration with our overall department, but that's on us not PFL.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Highly recommend PFL for both enterprise level companies as well as SMB's looking to build better rapport and increase touches with their target audiences at any stage of the funnel.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Getting past gate-keepers, setting meetings, encouraging conversions, and relationship building.

We've seen $10's of thousands of investment with PFL turn into Millions in closed won revenue in our first 9 months. The benefits have been increase touch-points with target accounts, the level of good will with those targets has been noticeably increased, and as I said before, mo money!!

"Easy to use once you get it set up"

What do you like best?

PFL makes it easy to execute ABM campaigns between our CRM and our MAT, and makes a lot of the coordination of these kinds of sends between the Sales and Marketing teams a lot easier and smoother. We're able to see all detailed tracking information in one dashboard, and can track the success back to our CRM.

What do you dislike?

I wish you could control for amounts within the campaign, so that if you had a specific target account or customer account that you wanted to send a quantity to, you could adjust for that within their TMA solution.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Automating our gift sends to targeted accounts helps significantly with our opportunity and ABM programs. It also automates the attribution of our Direct Mail campaigns to specific opportunities by tracking the statuses in our CRM campaigns, which before had been a pain when we had been mailing directly ourselves.

"Good Partner"

What do you like best?

PFL came forth with great ideas on custom direct mail pieces that matched our brand very well. The team has been quick to reply with questions and/or concerns, and they have proven to be a good partner for Zapproved.

What do you dislike?

I feel there was a lot of back and forth before we finally came to agreements on the offerings. But we are happy with the result, we just didn't factor a long lead time before being able to officially send packages. I also think PFL misunderstood our complete needs for our ABM campaign, so we were sold one product but I feel we should have been sold a different product.

We are implementing a cross-channel ABM campaign that includes direct mail. We wanted super personalized and targeted packages designed for our brand. PFL was able to provide options and the desired packages.

""Sales and Marketing have never worked better together" thanks to PFL"

What do you like best?

The eco-system we've established is like no other - a triad of SFDC, Marketo and auto-triggered direct mail and appointment getting tactics enabled by PFL partnership. Sales loves it.

Also, PFL was uber-interested in our KPIs and always looked for ways to drive success for the program - and Windstream as a result. One of our key challenges early in 2018 ...sales was opting in targets but not following up. PFL shipped a campaign samples package and then had the amazing idea of making follow up calls to each Region Sales Director (44 calls.) The call basically said, "You've got sample of the great campaign. this call is to show you the power of a follow up call - don't forget to encourage your teams to set a follow up cadence." That phone call was the BEST IDEA -- our sales directors gushed over what a great idea that was. One director recorded it and sent to his team.

What do you dislike?

I do think there are other benefits of working together with PFL that we didn't take advantage of and we could. PFL made recommendations around integration of targeted social, pre and post event promotions, etc. We should have done more to create and integrated ABM plan integrating the campaigns in play with these ideas.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Campaign targets driven 100% by sales. Driving appointments, opportunity count/value and win count/value. Also, the program has given us the right to counsel with sales on the right demand generation cadences they should adopt.

"Organized and reliable"

What do you like best?

I have had positive experiences with PFL - rarely have I ever come up with issues. I feel like they ship relatively fast, and are packaged very nicely and enticingly!

What do you dislike?

I wish that senders, vs. the demand gen or marketing team, had the chance to change or send a box. You typically have to run through a few hoops to do so.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I feel it's organized, user friendly, and implements well with your current tools! A suggestion I would have is to implement with Outreach or Connect and Sell as a form of communication.

It's a great method of outreach. When someone is on the fence - sending something via snail mail, and tying it into your Account Based Marketing really proves to be a useful and meaningful tactic.

"Much better than doing direct mail in house, but still room for improvement."

What do you like best?

The best part about this solution is that you are no longer spending hours creating kits and manually sending out your direct mail packages. Once your webhooks with Marketo are set up, you simply have to create a list in Marketo with whatever criteria you want to use and they take care of the rest.

What do you dislike?

The webhook setup isn't super self-explanatory and they don't have a very sophisticated setup for one-off programs. We also had some issues with onboarding, but our CSM has done a great job at repairing the issues we had there.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are still relatively new to using direct mail as a lead gen channel and this is making it easier to scale it up to a level where we can get accurate measurements of its capabilities and success.

"Direct Mail is a game changer for B2B marketing"

What do you like best?

PFL's Salesforce integration was one of my favorite features. We enabled our entire SDR team to order items, and they had no issues figuring it out. The auto-campaign logging was also great to have. Every time an item was ordered, the Contact was automatically added to the corresponding SFDC Campaign. So we could easily track order status and opportunities/revenue from each campaign.

What do you dislike?

Getting PFL and Salesforce integrated did take a while - I recall it was about 2 weeks before we were up and running. And there was the occasional bug when ordering, BUT it was rare and the PFL support team was always very responsive.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The biggest challenge for us was finding a new, unique way to get our name in front of target accounts. We have a pretty broad marketing mix - webinars, content promotion, PPC, advertising, events, email, cold calling, etc. But most people are desensitized by these types of engagement channels, so it was nice to surprise prospects with a cool, piece of mail. Whether or not they book a demo or respond to our email, its essentially 'forced' brand awareness and engagement with your most favorable accounts.

"Great technical team and direct mail automation solution"

What do you like best?

PFL allows us to automate our direct mail sends and integrates very well into our ESP. It makes it much easier to send direct mail to prospects and leads when they engage with us in specific ways as opposed to putting together hundreds of direct mail kits and doing a large scale mailing. The ability to track the mailing and alert our sales team when it's been delivered is awesome too.

What do you dislike?

The PFL Command Center user interface could use some work and more self service options (changing product names and images etc). Nothing here is broken, it works well and does what it needs to do, but it would be more user friendly with a re-design.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Leverage their internal team for best practices after the initial set up. PFL has a host of knowledgable experts that can help you with program set up and how to structure your programs.

We use PFL for their tactile marketing automation. PFL helps us send direct mail automatically based on activities our prospects and leads engage in. It integrates with our EPS for tracking and we can send a few pieces of direct mail at a time and when it counts most which is the biggest benefit.

"Tactile marketing - made easy & effective"

What do you like best?

Easily integrates with Marketo for every campaign

Team is very easy to work with and brings good ideas to the table as we plan campaigns. All employees seem passionate about tactile marketing and want to make everyone a believer and successful in it. We've seen success in generating meetings for our team using them and are excited to expand our efforts here as time goes on.

What do you dislike?

You get one account manager for onboarding and then transition to another one when you "go live" after about a month with them. Transition wasn't rough, there was just some confusion and missteps by our long-term lead once we moved over. Over time that got better, and some was due to us wanting similar but different campaigns at similar dates I think.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you're incorporating tactile marketing or direct mail into marketing/sales campaigns, they are the best!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are offering another channel touch for our campaigns with PFL. We're also able to support sales meeting generation better by utilizing this channel in combination with traditional approach tactics. We also incorporate some tactile marketing into our ABM efforts. We've seen increased meeting conversion rates from utilizing them.

"PFL great partner for tactile marketing automation"

What do you like best?

From the point of PFL presenting ideas, they showed they immediately understood our targets. Their creative ideas were outside of the box and effective. We have used three separate ideas from their initial presentation to great results.

I loved the customer service and implementation. They introduce you to your team, and they are actually there to assist you whenever you need help. Their team approach and white glove implementation insured our success: both with our program and our technology integrations (in our case, Marketo). They had a Marketo expert on their staff and as part of our implementation team to ensure our technology integration success. I've never experienced this level of integration support before.

What do you dislike?

At times I feel like I need to red flag some production issues (timing) - for them to be noticed.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving a pipeline gap and opening new doors. We had our first opportunity open from a cold lead three days after the tactile marketing piece hit their desk.

"We use PFL for ABM"

What do you like best?

PFL always has great suggestions for promo mailings that have worked really well for our company.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes there seems to be hiccups in the way their team communicates internally - which can lead to confusion during the project.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use ABM to give our BDRs a way to start a conversation with prospects. The BDRs love having that ice breaker and have seen an uptick in the number of prospects willing to talk to them.

"PFL is awesome. Love the tech but professional service could use some work"

What do you like best?

I like the integration into Marketo, our marketing automation system of record. The integration allows us to leverage tactile marketing automation seamlessly interwoven into our programs. Onboarding wasn't too lengthy. We were up and running within a reasonable timeframe.

I also like the templated creative options available once you get onboarded. Makes it super easy to get started with tactile marketing without having to build creative from scratch.

What do you dislike?

The professional services team needs to work on improving their communication and feedback loop. It's also proven a bit cumbersome to build new creative when deveating from the prescribed templates. Creative review, webhook build...and a couple of other steps make for a seemingly unnecessary turnaround time with standing up new creative.

I also like the templated creative options available once you get onboarded. Makes it super easy to get started with tactile marketing without having to build creative from scratch.

Recommendations to others considering the product

definitely worth exploring if you're looking to run automated, direct mail campaigns at scale. Probably best to explore using simple templates as opposed to custom creative to get the most out of the professional services team.

Our company targets home improvement contractors. This audience still responses really well to direct mail efforts. In the past, our DM efforts have been adhoc and reactive (at best). Automating and streamlining our direct mail marketing channel was a huge opportunity that PFL is helping us solve.

I also like the templated creative options available once you get onboarded. Makes it super easy to get started with tactile marketing without having to build creative from scratch.

"Great Product"

What do you like best?

What I like about PFL is that its making such a simple product like Direct Mail extremely relevant. As a salesperson I have come to rely on sending out direct mail packages automatically to my clients through my CRM. This takes a lot of the pains in mailing away. My clients are often giddy with the fun packages that are delivered to them with automatic emails coming from me once it arrives!

What do you dislike?

What I dislike is their branding. Their competitors are really putting the glitz and with a name like PFL and the old school look does not represent who they are as a company. I think they should put some new gloss over their company image and prove they are the best.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The business problem I am solving for is reaching decision makers who do not pick up their phone or answer emails anymore. Sending relevant direct mail packages to my prospects has really helped me break through the clutter and has given me the chance to WOW my clients.

"Software AND Service"

What do you like best?

PFL is a great combination of tech and consultative service. They have the tech to easily integrate into yoru marketing automation and CRM as well as a team of consultants to help you design the perfect direct mailer for all your needs. I've used them about two companies now and they always have good ideas on what will get peoples attention for your direct mail campaigns.

What do you dislike?

I do wish they had a flow step to validate the address when we send it over, but there are other technology vendors that can help with that.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We send a lot of direct mail and it is always a pain to export the list to send to the printer, then load back in a CSV of those that were delivered and try and get an accurate representation of who received the package and who did not.

PFL automates and streamlines all that flow as well as acting as our experts in direct mail. They always have great ideas for new packages and can source materials from anywhere.

"Direct Mail from the mountains"

What do you like best?

I like the people the most at PFL We've had two customer success managers and both have been incredibly competent and I believe truly want to see us succeed in our marketing efforts. Everyone on my Falcon Team is smart and has great ideas.

What do you dislike?

That I don't have an unlimited budget to use PFL in all of my tactics where it makes sense!

The culture of PFL matches the culture of my company so I would definitely have no trouble recommending them.

"Effortless Experience"

What do you like best?

PFL makes following up with leads and customers extremely easy and has saved us a bunch of time and removed areas of potential errors by automating our fulfillment process. They are also easy to work with and are quick to reply to questions.

What do you dislike?

In order to have order tracking, they have to create 5 fields for each webhook which takes up alot of space as we add more webhooks. It is worth it though to be able to have tracking of orders.

Recommendations to others considering the product

If you need to automate sending of tactile items, you need PFL. They have cured many headaches we faced in the past. The best thing I can say about them is that they walk the walk. Many vendors pitch great solutions only to fall flat once implemented but PFL is not that way. They are quick to help and are a real asset in planning new executions.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We want to automate sending of samples, literature and other direct mail pieces by triggered events in Marketo. This has saved us a lot of time and manual effort and customers are getting their products faster and with tracking.

"PFL is Flippin' Awesome"

What do you like best?

We use PFL to incorporate direct mail into our multi-channel #FlipMyFunnel event promotions. Our goal is to get the attention of our audience and drive attendance to our events. The direct mail pieces PFL has helped us create, like a giant funnel, definitely demand attention and have been contributing to the increase in our response rates. The PFL team has been amazing to work with. A lot of what we do pushes traditional marketing boundaries, so the ease of use of the solution and the receptive and responsive support team makes PFL #1 for us.

What do you dislike?

There's not much to dislike here. PFL truly care about their customers and it shows in everything they do.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Make sure you have the proper level of Salesforce that allows API integration. We had some initial delays in getting started because of this. However, PFL still helped us execute our sends on the back end to ensure our business goals were met while we got this worked out.

We were trying to break through the noise of digital channels and PFL's direct mail services help us do that.

"Nightmare implementation"

What do you like best?

I have not been able to use the tool yet even though I purchased it over 3 months ago

What do you dislike?

I was told things during the sales process that were actually not possible with the tech. The process to trigger mailers is not as easy as they make it seem. Also, the process to order and 'kit' items takes forever. Also, if you want any sort of customization in the program it takes even longer. Also the branded products they source are more expensive than industry average.

"Great for ongoing and short-term projects"

What do you like best?

The employees are quick to act on requests. They take a lot of the weight off my shoulders to get direct mail out the door. The packaging always looks professional and meets our branding profile. They are proactive in offering tips and suggestions on which items to use, best practices, and coming up with dynamic packaging ideas.

What do you dislike?

Sometimes delays of a week or two can happen when sending products.

We use PFL for ABM direct mail. It has helped take the burden of direct mail off our shoulders so we can focus on other ABM aspects.

"Direct Mail is Back!"

What do you like best?

PFL works with you to create programs that grab the attention of your prospects.

What do you dislike?

Honestly, there isn't really anything I dislike about PFL. I've been working with them for over a year now and I can't think of one thing I dislike.

If you have ever tried running a physical mail program on your own, you know how time consuming it can be. If you are considering PFL, come to them with your business goals and they will work with you to strategize the best program to reach your goal.

PFL helps get the attention of high value clients at large companies and also move pipeline through the funnel. By automating your direct mail sends in with digital sends, we were able to accelerate our deal cycle and generate significant pipeline in the enterprise space.

"Solid but wish there were a few thing better"

What do you like best?

They have the ability to integrate with our current database systems (Marketo, Salesfoce), and we can now attribute closed won/lost revenue back to a direct mail touch

What do you dislike?

The integrations are clunky and we find it difficult/time consuming to make sure the contact list is accurate for direct mail sends. A lot of QA is needed before any launch...for our instance

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We need to target key accounts and fully surround them with marketing material via all inbound and outbound channels. A direct mail touch has the potential to give that account a very personalized experience which in the end can build trust with our brand. We have seen our net new logos greatly increase, and we have seen deeper selling into key client accounts through direct mail initiatives.

"PFL for ABM campaigns"

What do you like best?

Status updates in Marketo can also be pushed to SFDC so reps can see product journey directly in SFDC

What do you dislike?

You cannot see which product was ordered or lead email address on the main PFL dashboard. You have to click on the actual order for more info. All of the information at a glance would be great.

Shortening the time it takes to send a direct mail campaign was a problem until we made it self service and reps can add leads in SFDC. We have enabled reps

"Quality Product & Good Support"

What do you like best?

I use PFL for account-based direct mail automation. The technical integration between PFL and marketo works really well and it's very easy to set up trigger campaigns to fire direct mail automatically.

What do you dislike?

If your Salesforce data is inaccurate, it can make mail automation challenging/impossible. Instead, you should be prepared to send through orders via batches and lists.

PFl allows us to send direct mail at scale, helping us build and improve relationships with customers and prospects. PFL has opened the door to new opportunities at my organization.

"Great product for Direct Mail"

What do you like best?

- Super helpful managed services team. Great customer support, weekly check-ins, technical help as needed

- Easy Marketo integration

- Campaign & content planning resources to help find the best direct mail items

What do you dislike?

- It's hard to estimate an exact cost for each program once the fees associated with shipping to various locations and storing leftover inventory come into play

- Recommend over budgeting for each campaign

"Fantastic software and service for scaling direct mail"

What do you like best?

There is not much to dislike with PFL. From a service perspective, their team is sharp and committed. They are great and helping guide direct mail experiences. Also, the software is really great for giving control to sales for what to send to whom and when, along with triggering for follow up (specifically the Fedex and Salesforce integration).

What do you dislike?

We have not come across anything that we dislike yet about PFL.

"Overall Good, But Room for Improvement"

What do you like best?

PFL's integration with Salesforce and Marketo (when it works correctly) is definitely a plus and helps us streamline all of our efforts. PFL has also lightened the burden on our ABM campaigns which we had been handling in house before working with them.

What do you dislike?

We've had some issues with integrations working correctly which also affects other integrations with our system. This can cause a bit of a headache, but we've been working with PFL to find a resolution to the issues we're having.

We signed on with PFL to help us streamline our ABM campaigns and outsource our direct mail campaigns. This has helped lighten the workload on our end and allows us to manage our inventory more effectively.

"Fulfill Direct Mail campaigns automatically through PFL "

What do you like best?

Building the webhook in Marketo is relatively straightforward and once tested, works pretty seamlessly.

What do you dislike?

Testing isn't automated and usually requires human confirmation of success/failures.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Data quality seriously affects utility, but that's something PFL can't support. They do provide feedback if data quality is poor, but fixing those issues requires people effort and is pretty manual. If your database is clean and up-to-date, and you want to trigger direct mails quickly, PFL is the way to go.

PFL makes it easy for Marketing to create Direct Mail programs that Sales can trigger anytime, reducing the need to manage spreadsheets and arrange FedEx pickups!

"Smooth on-boarding process and intuitive web application."

What do you like best?

The Command Center is intuitive and the onboarding team was thoughtful and thorough in their process. Overall, we got off to a smooth start.

What do you dislike?

The Marketo integration was not as reliable as I had expected. Uploading lists was more time consuming than we had hoped it would be.

"Great Customer Service BUT...."

What do you like best?

The customer service is exceptional! They are super on top of technical support and very helpful and communicative.

What do you dislike?

We have been trying to do automation with Salesforce and Outreach and because the newer version of PFL is having some glitches, we haven't been able to use the product successfully.

Once the system gets fully up and running, we will be solving for the manual labor of hand packaging direct mail campaigns with an efficient automated system.

"Great results from direct mail"

What do you like best?

I believe in the power of direct mail to drive prospect engagement, but our sales and marketing team did not have the resources to put the kits together ourselves. Using PFL, they can effortlessly send personalized notes and packages right through Salesforce. A useful feature is that reps receive an email alert when a package has been delivered to their prospect allowing them to follow-up in a timely manner. The custom packaging and customer service PFL provides is also a plus!

What do you dislike?

Nothing to say here, if anything I would recommend having a less self-service way of reviewing the reporting/dashboards.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We've found that by adding in the direct mail touchpoint, we are seeing an increase in email response. We’re also incorporating direct mail into our event marketing, which we hope to boost our attendance number.

"Pretty good, seamless experience with no issues!"

What do you like best?

The communication from the team, very quick and concise. Upon any issue they were eager to help and hop on a call.

No issues were found during the instalation.

In comparison to other appexchange apps it was a quick install and deploy, and there were not many post install steps.

What do you dislike?

Not much, maybe that the AppExchange has some data that should have been wiped before uploading it.

"Great to automate and scale personalized direct mail campaigns"

What do you like best?

Great tool to automate and reducing the time it takes to send and personalize direct mailers, ability to track deliveries to action off of it, easy to manage budgets for sales teams and provide them with the ability to send and track gifts with the click of a button.

What do you dislike?

We had some integration issues that created some hick-ups with sending and receiving tracking information but PFL was very helpful working through these issues.

"Very easy to work with"

What do you like best?

Best thing about PFL is their responsiveness to issues that arise on occasion concerning campaign setups. Their willingness to step in and help you through success is their biggest plus.

What do you dislike?

There's nothing much to say regarding disliking PFL. The experience we've had thus far has been relatively smooth. They could probably make their dashboard a little more intuitive to use I suppose

"Nice direct mail products"

What do you like best?

PFL has been easy to work with for a direct mail project. They provide a team of designers although we ultimately decided to use a regular agency of ours. They offered a wide variety of options for formats and styles.

What do you dislike?

None of the samples they sent us were completed by their internal design team. It would have been good to see samples of the design work they've done.

We used them recently for a win-back campaign to target customers we had lost to a competitor with a direct mail piece. The piece is in the process of being completed.

"It was an easy experience to work with PFL. "

What do you like best?

I did like the model and how it was automated. Also that they had their own designers on staff who could help come up with new ideas.

What do you dislike?

We were not in the right place to be able to take advantage of everything PFL had to offer. Also - once we started to vet out how much it costs vs what it costs to have things designed and printed in-house it became a cost issue.

"They are OK"

What do you like best?

I like that they integrate with Eloqua for an easy way to send direct mail as part of a campaign.

What do you dislike?

Frequent errors in the Eloqua PFL sync meant delays. If the company name was too long it would fail and then it would take a long time to get that feedback to get it fixed.

We wanted an automated way to send direct mail and this accomplished that, it was easier than managing frequent lists.

What do you like best?

PFL gets things done fast and right! We can always depend on PFL to respond quickly and handle any project that we send them.
