I use these often for my employers' social media advertising. The photos are all amazing quality and much nicer than what I could accomplish myself. I am always shocked at what I can find and use FOR FREE! **What do you dislike about Pexels?** Sometimes I do have a very specific need when it comes to a stock photo, and it just isn't there... BUT I can often replace my specific need with something a bit more generic. In these instances, Pexels still comes through. **Recommendations to others considering Pexels:** If there is a specific photo you have trouble finding, try searching more generic words based on your need. Ex: instead of 'Dad and Son on water slide" try "Family Water Park" or "Water Park." **What problems is Pexels solving and how is that benefiting you?** Social media posts are more vibrant and stunning imagery is used instead of "smart phone" images which were being posted before. It also gives one the opportunity to network with others and share photos. They encourage users to be creative and have fun with the photos and attribution is always voluntary, but saying thanks to the photographers is always encouraged. the layout and navigation of the site is pretty great and easy to use, so no complaints there **What do you dislike about Pexels?** There really isn't much to dislike. Sometimes the search feature isn't very intuitive, but getting more detailed there usually works. T **Recommendations to others considering Pexels:** If you are looking for good quality and a large variety of royalty free stock photography, Pexels is a great place. The site is very user friendly and easy to navigate. **What problems is Pexels solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a graphic and book cover designer the photos are a great source of inspiration. Creating on a budget can be a challenge and Pexels really helps there. I love that I can take several photos and take part of them to create an whole new image for a book cover or just to display and reference back to the photographer. ### 3. Pexels have a great collection of images for our specific search. In addition, we can download the image as in different image resolution or we can specify the image resolution, I love this feature. **What do you dislike about Pexels?** The Pexels is a great platform for stock images, while for stock videos... the quality of videos are bad. They all feels like just mobile videos. **Recommendations to others considering Pexels:** If you need good quality free stock images, Pexels is the best. **What problems is Pexels solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have got access to millions of stock images through Pexels, that really helped to realize my design works. ### 4. It also provides photographer credits. I also like that the images I used from Pexels on our social media accounts we managed did well/got a lot of likes. The images are beautiful. **What do you dislike about Pexels?** I dislike that some subjects have smaller choices to pick from, like images that are more of a random topic, there isn't much selection. **Recommendations to others considering Pexels:** I recommend that people take time looking through the images because there are some real gems on this site. The images are all high quality and aesthetically pleasing, and have done well on social media in my experience. They are also great for blogs. Don't forget to give the photographer credit where it's due! **What problems is Pexels solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am solving having to outsource photography for our social media accounts we manage. A benefit is that we can find high quality images through Pexels for many of our clients without having to search for too long. ### 5. But the good, far outweighs the bad. **Recommendations to others considering Pexels:** A budget saver! **What problems is Pexels solving and how is that benefiting you?** Limit spending on stock photo purchases. The money that would have been spent on a stock photo can now be used for something else. ### 6. The photos that I upload are licensed under the Pexels license so i'm able to use them for free. I also like that they provide free videos. They have a whole page dedicated to pexels videos that can be utilized. They also have partnership opportunities. I haven't looked into them but I know they are available. **What do you dislike about Pexels?** I don't like that some photos have specific brands in the photo. I wish more of them were generic to make it easier to use without implying certain brands are working with me. We need to be mindful that we still may need permission from third parties if their logo is already present in the photo. We can't assume that just because we got the picture from pexel that every single one is covered and we need to watch for branding located within the photo. **Recommendations to others considering Pexels:** They have Beautiful free photos available. Take advantage of this wonderful service. **What problems is Pexels solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are being just a little bit more cost effective with finding more and more ways to save money even if its just something small. ### 9.
