  ### 12. Clear, Conversational Search That Makes Comparing Options Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

It’s good at searching and clearly shows me what it’s searching about. I can also have a dialogue about the search, which makes it easier to refine what I’m looking for. It’s also good at showing me comparisons when I need to weigh different options. I use this more than Google Search now when I am researching.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes it “thinks” of things I didn’t ask about. For example, it will show me the budget version or local versions even when I haven’t requested that. At times I simply want to know what the best option is, and I don’t care about local versions or budget alternatives. I think it should pause before starting the search and ask me about my criteria. It does this occasionally, but it should happen more consistently and be easier to do.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used this to compare alternatives and research what’s important to consider. I put together an RFI for a new product we needed, and it helped me define and refine the questions to include in the RFI. It would have taken me a long time to create something this comprehensive on my own. After that, I took the answers from the RFI and used it to compare the responses, giving me a clear list of where the solutions aligned, as well as what was good and what was bad.

The initial setup was incredibly quick, and I was up and running within a matter of minutes.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Perplexity is terrible at generating graphics. Also, I don't like how sometimes it loses track of where it is, and I have to restart with a new thread.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity to automate business processes, generate contracts, draft consistent messages for my team, make research easier, bring in known sources, and test assumptions before making client recommendations.

  ### 14. Clear sources and reliable links, without hallucinations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Textiles | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Point out the sources used and without hallucinations in the links. They temporarily put Google in check. The Labs section, which they have now removed, it's not known why.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

It is starting to become a wrapper of AIs (there are already hundreds of them) and although they are simultaneously presenting some novelty, they should work more on their own models. It is a sign of weakness. They must reach agreements with major websites, as these do not allow their AI robots to access data. This is useless without current information.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solve deep investigations based on the internet, other models work with their own knowledge and the model may be biased.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

My only complaint is that there is sometimes hallucinations, this is primarily due to Reddit threads containing mis-information which gets picked up. However, the fact that you get the sources listed for where the information is picked up from means I can manually verify at the source always

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

It auto-saves your threads which I really do like.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

It just doesn't respond. After buying a year's subscription, most days I have such a lag that I give up and jump to the basic web. After using it for 3+ months, I have found it to be far inferior to ChatGPT for rewriting documents. It's feels very much like a data-mining tool with no sophistication. It's pretty bad -- and paired with the delays -- definitely stay away. One of the worst purchases I've made.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tremendous delays with searches. Results are not very robust. Feels like a bare-bones data mining service. Plus, after purchasing, they hound you to upgrade to Comet and lay the offers across your screen. Super annoying!

I don't really use Perplexity for generating presentations or for doing really deep critical thinking work. I prefer to use a different LLM like Claude for that.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I appreciate the free year provided by PayPal, which makes using Perplexity more accessible. It's great for financials, allowing me to easily analyze stocks I own and access public data quickly, which would otherwise take much longer to find and review manually. I'm also impressed with how easy the initial setup was.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes referrals don't really work good. If there's no good reference for a section or a line, I believe it is better to just drop it.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity to avoid manual searching and analyze stocks easily, accessing public data quickly which saves me time.

I like the convenient UI and the browsable history feature, which allows me to go back and restart or review my past research. Also, the initial setup is very easy.

  ### 34. User-Friendly Platform with Enhanced Research Capabilities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim M. | Freelance Art Handler, Fine Art

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I use Perplexity for research, reverse image searching, and image generation. I like how Perplexity cites sources when answering questions, which is really helpful. It has a more friendly and intuitive interface and interactions compared to ChatGPT, making it a much more pleasant experience overall. The initial setup of Perplexity was very easy and intuitive, making the process straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

When generating images, Perplexity has a hard time understanding when I want to refine an image it just made for me. I always have to download and reshare the image to have Perplexity understand that I want to make minor changes.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity helps me identify artworks and generate creative ideas with ease. It cites sources for my research, which is really helpful.

  ### 35. Consolidates Data Effortlessly, But Pricing Could Improve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kshitiz G. | Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I like Perplexity's ability to search and index multiple pages. It's quite interesting how it consolidates information from various Internet sources into a summary. This means I don't have to visit multiple pages, which a lot of other programs don't offer. They often just provide a list of pages, but Perplexity brings summarized information right back to me.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I think pricing is slightly on the higher side. That's something could be improved.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity to find answers to questions by pulling up sources and providing a consolidated summary, so I don't have to visit multiple pages.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thalles R.

I like the Deep Research of Perplexity. This ability to scour the internet brings many benefits, such as finding opportunities in calls for startups, potential clients, and even discount coupons. The initial setup was easy.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Look, there is still a bit of hallucination compared to other AIs, like Gemini or ChatGPT. What I think is that there is a lack of integration with the user's thinking. A giant memory that remembers everything the user has already done.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity for in-depth internet research, identifying business opportunities such as calls for startups and potential clients.

  ### 37. Detailed Insights, Needs Conciseness Option

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** oualid m. | Project Advisor Successfactors, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I use Perplexity mainly for my financial investment. It does the homework for me by gathering the latest analyst feedback. I appreciate how detailed their answers are compared to other AI, where the answers usually lack sources. In addition to giving the information, Perplexity provides context and arguments behind it. The initial setup was quite straightforward, similar to other tools.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

When I want concise answers, this option lacks a bit. The existence of concise answers is missing. Once that's addressed, we can look at improvement.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity does the homework for me in financial investments, gathering the latest analyst feedbacks with context and arguments. It provides detailed answers with sources.

  ### 48. Perplexity Makes Research Feel Effortless and Fun

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham B. | VAPT Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I love how Perplexity turns a simple question into a quick, helpful chat that pulls in real info from the web, complete with links to check yourself. It's super easy to use, no confusing menus or overload of options, and it remembers what we've talked about before, so follow-up questions feel natural. As someone who writes about tech and needs fast facts, it's a huge time-saver; I can dive into topics like history or current events without endless scrolling. The free version gives plenty of searches daily, and organizing chats into folders keeps everything tidy. Plus, it's just fun, like having a smart friend who always has your back.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes the answers feel a bit too short or repeat the same points, especially on tricky subjects where I want more depth without asking a million follow-ups. I've noticed occasional mix-ups with facts, so I always double-check the sources, which can slow me down. The pro version costs $20 a month for extras like uploading files, but it feels steep if you're not using it every day. Also, customer support could be quicker, I've waited a bit for help on minor glitches. Integration with other tools isn't seamless yet, and while it's user-friendly, adding more ways to customize the experience would make it even better.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity is tackling the hassle of digging through unreliable or scattered info online, especially when I'm researching for tech writing gigs. It pulls together quick summaries with real sources, which cuts my research time in half, no more bouncing between tabs or doubting if something's accurate. For business stuff, it's helping me solve problems like staying on top of fast-changing trends without wasting hours, which means I can deliver articles faster and impress clients. Personally, it's a lifesaver for brainstorming ideas or fact-checking on the fly; I feel more productive and less stressed, like I've got a reliable sidekick that keeps things organized and trustworthy. Overall, it's making my workflow smoother and helping me avoid those frustrating dead ends in info hunting.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes, Perplexity doesn't get names as accurate as they should be, so I need to rewrite or go through certain things. In meeting notes, sometimes action items are not allocated to the right people as discussed during the meeting.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity for writing emails, taking meeting notes, and doing research. It helps with action notes and scheduling by automating these tasks, which saves time and reduces the effort of doing them manually.
