## Perplexity Reviews
 ### 1. Accurate Document Referencing with Smart Scheduling and Project Mode

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashay S. | Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

One of the best features about Perplexity is its accuracy when referencing documents, along with the ability to schedule executions, especially with hourly trackers. It also has a project mode that can be used to get more organized answers. It can take some time sometimes, but it sends a notification when the results are ready (usually in 5–10 minutes), and the final answer can be very well formatted based on what I need.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I have noticed that over time the choice of models in perplexity have decreased so they are not as many models to select from as they were before Plus with increase in price I would have expected to be more integrations as other providers

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use perplexity as an alternative when searching documents because it supports my daily searches or academic searches quite well I believe the default AI model they provide, Sonar, works quite well when searching for document and it gives great results which are optimized and save a lot of time in navigating google searches. I also use perplexity for scheduling some tasks or one of which is tracking some market changes daily

 ### 2. Revolutionized My Research with Source Transparency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lalith K. | Fresher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I use Perplexity primarily for quick, source-backed research, which fits into my workflow as a replacement for traditional search engines. I appreciate how it gives direct, cited answers, eliminating the frustration of unreliable information and saving me hours of research time. What I like most is the source transparency; every answer comes with clickable citations, so I can trust or fact-check the information instantly. I also love the follow-up search feature, which lets me refine my questions without starting over, almost like having a research assistant. The clean, distraction-free interface keeps me focused on answers, not ads or SEO clutter. The initial setup was effortless, just signing up with Google or email, and there was no learning curve.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes Perplexity can be too verbose, giving long answers when a short, direct one would do. I'd love a 'concise mode' toggle. The mobile app, while clean, occasionally feels slower to load search results compared to the web version. Also, for highly niche or very recent local topics, it sometimes misses the mark where a standard Google search would get it instantly.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity for quick, source-backed research, avoiding information overload, with direct, cited answers. It eliminates unreliable info, making verification easy, and saves research time by synthesizing data into clear answers, all while providing a distraction-free, trust-building interface.

 ### 3. Perplexity Delivers Direct Results with Authentic source for Deep Research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaurab R. | System Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Perplexity is most helpful with its result as it provide direct result with authentic sources.
It had great advantage in the research which helps student and professionals with its deep research ai intelligence.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

It gives least performance with creative works and complex tasks as it can hallucinate on multi step tasks.
Other drawback is that it is heavily dependent on the web searches , it collects all the top results from google which may not be correct all time.
Ui/ux is graet but lacks in personalization.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving problem of inefficient search result and information overload.
Earlier we have to manually read complete content of the multiple webpages then pick up some of the sources but it resolves this problem.
Another integrations of perplexity is in its paid version which is comet, a desktop app which has complete access to browser. It can book tickets, solves leetcode problems, can read mail, search more effectively without human suppport. Pro version also has suitable pricing.

 ### 4. Daily Research Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bibhu P. | Founder's Office- Growth and Strategy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

It efficiently combines search and AI-generated responses. Instead of going through multiple links, it gives a structured answer with sources attached, which makes it easier to verify information quickly.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

One thing I’d like to see improved in Perplexity AI is deeper consistency in highly technical or niche research workflows. While the platform is excellent for fast discovery and summarization, there are moments where the responses can become repetitive across follow-up questions or rely too heavily on similar web sources.
For complex topics, I still find myself manually validating certain claims or opening the original references to ensure accuracy and context. It’s not a major issue, but when working on technical, strategic, or industry-specific research, precision matters.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me personally, the biggest benefit has been speed and clarity during research-heavy work. Whether it’s understanding a new technology, preparing for business discussions, comparing market trends, or exploring technical topics, it dramatically reduces the time spent searching and organizing information.

 ### 5. Real-Time Updates, Needs Better Link Sources

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Çağrı P. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I really like how Perplexity consistently pulls in the newest information online. It’s super helpful whenever I’m writing and need to verify details in real time. It also keeps me up to date with the latest news, which I find better than other tools I use, like OpenAI.

Another big plus is being able to choose between different AI models inside Perplexity. I appreciate that it’s not limited to just one model, because having multiple options gives me more freedom depending on what I’m trying to do. Its deep research capabilities are especially valuable when I’m comparing products before buying something, since it helps me quickly put together a list of prices and websites without much effort.

For everyday questions, it’s easy to use, and it’s also great for editing emails because it helps me draft replies quickly. Overall, these features make it a perfect fit for my needs. Performance has been quite good for me, and it feels very fast. It’s also very cheap compared to other AI tools.

Onboarding was easy and quick as well, and it seems like they’re adding integrations almost every couple of days. There’s always something new, so in general I’m really enjoying it.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes when I ask for something, it doesn’t give me enough information. For example, if I just want to go to a website, in Google I can type something like “Berlin restaurants” and it will list links right away. In Perplexity, it still gives an answer, but sometimes the links aren’t there at all, or the links are missing key results. Other times it does include links, but the sources aren’t the right ones, or they don’t point to the correct pages.

Because of that, it can be really hard to find the information I’m looking for, especially when I mainly need the actual website link. I often end up doing a Google search just to find a company’s site. It’s something very simple: if I’m asking for information about Adidas, it gives me plenty of details, but not the Adidas website. It should be easy to include that link, but Perplexity doesn’t consistently surface the official website or the most important pages that Google shows immediately.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity to get up-to-date information quickly and easily, even more recent than some other AI tools. It helps with writing and editing emails by providing drafts and replies.

 ### 6. Powerful Research Tool with Real Productivity Gains (but Needs Better Stability & Support)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** shailesh s. | we developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I use Perplexity AI daily as part of my workflow as a software student and developer, mainly on desktop (Chrome) and occasionally on mobile.

My primary use cases include:

Researching technical topics like REST APIs, system design patterns, and AI concepts
Using the “Copilot” and source citation feature to validate answers quickly
Generating structured notes for subjects like DBMS and Operating Systems
Rapid idea validation when building small projects or prototypes

For example, while working on a PHP-based QR attendance system, I used Perplexity to compare different session management approaches and database schemas. Instead of reading 5–6 different blogs, I got a consolidated answer with sources in under 2–3 minutes.

This has reduced my research time by 40–50% in many cases.

What stands out is its ability to combine multiple sources into a single, readable response with references, which helps me trust the output more than traditional AI chat tools.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

There are a few consistent issues I’ve noticed:

Some responses can still be factually inconsistent, especially for newer frameworks or APIs
During peak usage times, I’ve encountered rate limits even on a paid plan
Pricing feels high for students in India, especially compared to alternatives
Customer support is slow—I once faced a billing-related query that took several days to resolve

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Perplexity, my workflow involved searching across Google, opening multiple tabs, and manually verifying information from different sources.

Now I can:

Get summarized, citation-backed answers in one place
Cut down research time significantly (especially for assignments and dev work)
Quickly understand new concepts without switching between multiple resources
Improve productivity when coding by getting instant explanations and examples

For instance, while preparing notes for system design topics, I can directly generate structured explanations and refine them instead of building everything from scratch.

Overall, it has made my research process faster, more organized, and more reliable.

 ### 7. Perplexity's Comet, Delightful Research Browser That Saves Time with Accurate Summaries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert M. | Retired, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Using Perplexity's Comet web browser for research is a delight as it saves considerable time over just a search engine. Not only does it make a concise summary, but it also lists all its sources via links. Preplexity's performance as a research/data AI, I think, is excellent. I am using the free version, so the price is right. When I have fact-checked Perplexity's results, it has always been correct.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I do not have a downside or dislike for Perplexity, but I only use it for research, and I use Galaxy.ai for creating images and videos.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do a lot of research on political and environmental subjects, and Perplexity just finds what I am looking for much faster and more completely than any search engine. Then the summary of all the sources it finds is a great benefit, and plus listing all its sources so that I can check those sources myself.

 ### 8. Instant, Reliable Answers with Effortless Citations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohd Yasir Iqbal S. | Internship Trainee, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I like best about Perplexity is its ability to provide concise, well-referenced answers instantly. It combines the speed of an AI assistant with the reliability of real web sources, making it perfect for quick research or fact-checking. I also appreciate its clean interface and built-in citation system, which makes verifying information effortless.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I dislike about Perplexity is that it sometimes lacks depth or contextual understanding in longer or more complex queries. While it’s great for quick answers, it occasionally gives surface-level explanations or repeats information from sources without deeper analysis. Additionally, customization options and conversation continuity could be improved to make it more flexible for power users.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity is solving the problem of information overload and unreliable online sources. Instead of spending time browsing multiple websites, it instantly provides concise, well-cited summaries from trusted references. This saves me a lot of time during research and ensures the information I use is accurate and verifiable.

It’s especially beneficial for learning, content creation, and technical research, as I can quickly get high-quality insights without worrying about misinformation. Overall, it helps me work faster, smarter, and with more confidence in the information I rely on.

 ### 9. Perplexity Max: Deep Research, Great UI, and Powerful Model Aggregation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu J. | Founder, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Perplexity doesn’t just have one model; it works more like a model aggregator with citations, and it almost feels too good to be true when I’m doing research. The Deep Research and Apps feature (it was Labs at first) are really useful, the UI looks amazing, and the latest computer update is what convinced me to get the Max subscription.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes the citations aren’t accurate, and since its USP was delivering accurate results, it can end up hallucinating too much. The live data integration also doesn’t make it feel unique anymore.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Even when I’m doing deep research, it still feels like the best option. The Labs/Apps feature makes it easy to set up a dashboard for pretty much anything, and the connectors make integration with external software much simpler. Support is also quite good and quick, since the AI agent handles it.

 ### 10. Fast, Source-Backed Answers That Make Research Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lionel T. | Head of Marketing & Growth, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

What I like best about Perplexity is that it gives fast answers with sources attached, so I can trust what I’m reading and check it myself. It feels like a search engine and an AI assistant working together instead of making me dig through a bunch of tabs.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

What I dislike most about Perplexity is that it can still be shallow or repetitive on harder questions, even when the answer looks polished. It’s great for fast research, but you still have to double-check facts because AI tools can make mistakes or oversimplify complex topics.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity is solving the problem of slow, messy research by giving direct answers with sources instead of making you open dozens of tabs. It also helps with fact-checking, staying current, and turning a broad question into a usable summary much faster than manual browsing.

 ### 11. Perplexity- Tool to Automate tasks using AI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raghav A. | Senior Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I really like the new conversational style and how well it remembers context across multiple questions. It’s become much better at structuring long, complex answers into clear sections that I can reuse in my work, and the citations make it easy to double‑check key points when I need to share them with others.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes the answers can be a bit too detailed when I just need a quick, two‑line summary, so a clearer ‘brief vs deep’ toggle would help. I’d also love even more transparency on which sources are being prioritised in the citations, especially for news or opinion‑heavy topics.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity is helping to solve both research and productivity challenges by providing reliable answers and comprehensive explanations instantly. It saves significant time when gathering data, preparing reports.

 ### 12. Simple, Cross-Platform Search with Powerful Filters, Sharing, and Spaces

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

It can be used in browsers across different operating systems as well as on smartphones. The interface is simple and streamlined, and the various options are easy to spot and understand right away. You can use operators to better refine searches (for example, limiting the query to a specific website or to a defined time period), or choose specific scopes (academic, social, web or finance) depending on where you want to look for information. In the results, links to the sources are clearly provided, so you can open and consult them if needed. You can also share search results with other people and decide what type of access they have for viewing. Shortcuts help speed up input and you can create custom ones to handle recurring actions. In the Spaces area, you can organize searches based on your needs by creating folders dedicated to particular topics or projects.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes it provides incorrect information. Even though it is based on real-time, web-updated sources, I have, for example, come across inaccuracies regarding recent changes in regulations. When I repeated the same search a few days later, or explicitly pointed out that there had been recent updates on the topic, the response I received actually differed from the previous one. For this reason, it’s not appropriate to take everything it says at face value.
More advanced features—such as creating recurring tasks by giving instructions to run certain searches on a defined schedule, choosing which AI model to use, or accessing a dedicated support service—require a Pro subscription.
In the free version, the Spaces area is quite limited, both in the number and types of files you can upload and in the sharing limits with collaborators.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It performs searches in a straightforward way, like a regular search engine, but it also summarizes results from different sites. This helps me find information much faster without having to read countless web pages. I save a lot of time, even when I’m looking for technical information, regulations, or manuals, because it can locate them quickly and support me in my daily work. It’s also useful for sharing information with colleagues.

 ### 13. Perplexity Pro Delivers Detailed, Terrific Results with Smart AI Filtering

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Troy H. | Entrepreneur / Real Estate Agent, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Perplexity is awesome! It does a terrific job locating and filtering information using the different AI algorithms currently available. You can set up recurring tasks and have it email you results for financial stocks, shopping, or whatever topic you want it to send. The responses are very detailed, and it does an even better job the more information and background you provide. I use the Pro plan and consistently get terrific results.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I’m having a hard time coming up with anything negative. It does a lot of things other tools don’t, and it can either choose the best AI tool for the job automatically or let me pick which one to use.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity has an area called “Spaces.” I’ve set up dedicated spaces for different parts of my business so it can run with things and better understand what I want it to do. I’ve also used other AI tools to create prompts, then moved them into Perplexity (and vice versa) and saved them in my spaces. Overall, it’s a great tool.

 ### 14. Efficient Research Tool with Robust Verification

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khushal R. | SEO Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I find Perplexity very useful for research purposes, as it’s good at verifying written details and reports with proper citation and verified sources from the internet. As an SEO person, I appreciate how Perplexity helps me ensure that the information on the website is accurate by allowing me to upload a document and verify sources and figures in one go. This feature saves me a lot of time. I also like the browser they launched a few months ago, equipped with the 'assist' feature that essentially surfs the web on my behalf with just a prompt. This is super helpful for repetitive browsing tasks like keyword research, finding new article titles, and making content outlines. The initial setup was very easy; just a login with available options and some data saved in its memory to get started.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Feature wise it is good, no complaints but it consumes all the limit within just few prompts like for someone like me who want to automate lot's of repeated task it is impossible to use everywhere as there is limit, which i mean to protect their business but they should provide more limits to premium users

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity to verify website content quickly. It saves time by checking document sources and figures, providing proper citations without manual searching.

 ### 15. Perplexity: Stay away, false claims, from 600 deep searches/day down to 20/month!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | Customer Experience Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

NOTHING!!!

Forget everything I wrote below, it's public nowadays, they changed their policies, they got issues, they put Sam AI Agent to reply to support requests without fixing anything, they reduced the usage to absurd low limits, Deep researches from 600/day down to 20/month!!!! They offered one free year, from their partnerships, then they forced to add a valid payment method to keep the "free trial", yes, they changed the offer to a free trial. And then they banned accounts claiming fake reasons, and leaving no ways to appeal, they destroyed/terminated my account too.

The online documentation hasn't changed, they still claim the same unlimited usage as always, which is misleading.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Perplexity has quickly become my go-to powerhouse for AI-driven research, discovery, and productivity. The range of advanced language models it offers is astounding. I can easily switch between Sonar for deep search and research, or access major LLMs like GPT-5/Thinking, Claude/Thinking, Claude, Grok and Gemini. There are even specialized models designed for quick, focused responses. This kind of flexibility means I always have the right tool, whether I’m diving into a full analysis, brainstorming creatively, or just need a lightning-fast summary.

Perplexity Spaces takes things even further. They let me create, share, and reuse mini apps or workflows for any topic or project. Whether I'm working solo or collaborating with others, Spaces make it easy to generate content, extract data in real time, and conduct interactive research all in one unified environment. I especially appreciate how Spaces foster community-driven expertise and give me the freedom to build tools that are personalized to what I care about most.

The global context Perplexity brings in is another standout feature. It doesn’t just respond to questions; it taps into global news, trending topics, technical documentation, and niche interests from around the world. Endless possibilities for learning and exploration! The mobile app is just as impressive. It’s fast, intuitive, and fully synced with the desktop version, so I can pick up where I left off no matter which device I'm using. I never lose track of conversations, saved insights, or ongoing projects.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

EVERYTHING IS BAD ABOUT THIS COMPANY.

It’s hard to find complaints with this level of versatility. Occasionally, the sheer depth of options can feel overwhelming, especially with so many models and Spaces to explore. Still, that’s a small downside considering the possibilities it unlocks.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was excellent, it became the WORST service you can imagine to get. Support not existent, Discord group, useless. Any review online right now is saying this, and they deserve also G2 tells the real story.

NONE OF THE FOLLOWING APPLIES ANYMORE!!!!
Perplexity fills the gap between raw information and real answers, transforming the way I approach research, decision-making, and creative work. Its range of models means I’m never limited. I can dive into market analysis or academic research, draft content, follow trends, and collaborate on ideas within a single, unified ecosystem. The integration with global topics and interests helps ensure my work stays timely, relevant, and insightful. Perplexity is the AI platform that truly keeps up with my curiosity, ambition, and daily workflow, whether I’m at my desk or on the go.

 ### 16. Best-in-Class Research Assistant with Reliable Sources and Powerful Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

What I like best about Perplexity is that it references actual sources. Every answer links back to real, verifiable references, essential for combatting AI hallucinations. Combined with live web search and clean, well-structured responses, it's the most useful AI assistant I've used for research with live sources.

The integrations are a plus as well, with connectors for Google Drive, Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Teams, Jira, Confluence, HubSpot, etc. I rarely need to leave the platform to pull in context from my existing tools . Performance is also relatively strong. Deep Research helps a lot by reading hundreds of sources and synthesises them into a comprehensive report, and benchmark results back this up .

From a pricing and ROI standpoint, the Pro plan punches well above its weight, offering access to multiple frontier AI models like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini etc, under a single subscription at a fraction of what you'd pay separately or via API. And when it comes to onboarding and support, getting started is genuinely frictionless. The interface is intuitive enough that there's virtually no learning curve .

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

The main thing I dislike is that the mobile app can feel inconsistent, occasionally slower to load and missing a few features available on desktop, also it can't seem to keep its connection on mobile, requiring a restart to reload content. The conversation memory with the models could also be smarter; it doesn't always retain enough context across sessions, so you sometimes find yourself re-explaining background details you've shared before. On top of that, the context window and reasoning depth don't quite match what you'd get going directly to the base models. It can feel less sharp on complex, nuanced tasks compared to using Claude or GPT natively.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to spend a significant chunk of my day trawling through news sites, industry reports, and documents to gather enough background before drafting anything, a process that could easily eat up an hour or more per research task. We struggled with information overload and the inability to quickly verify facts across multiple sources, but now we can get cited research (or a good base) in minutes, which has resulted in faster turnaround.

The change after bringing Perplexity into our workflow has been tangible. Content drafting that once required cross-referencing five or six tabs now happens in a single conversation, with sources attached for credibility checks.

 ### 17. An Essential Tool for Enhanced AI Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan L. | Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I love Perplexity's design aesthetic and think they've made a better UI than Anthropic. I appreciate that they're constantly branching into other utilities, even if I don't regularly use features like their stock trackers or news. It's validating to see that they're not just remaining a wrapper but are providing a service with a lot of tokens more generally. They're fostering community through AI, which is pretty cool. I've been using Perplexity for over a year due to the student pricing, which I believe is the best deal you can get on an AI chatbot service. The setup was straightforward—just open the app and get started.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I wish that they offered some level of monthly use to regular pro users rather than just a one-time trial with a preset amount of tokens. I also think that it's just not designed inherently to be as powerful as bug.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity as a digital assistant and image generator, leveraging its access to multiple proprietary models which is valuable for writing with Claude without using too many tokens.

 ### 18. Great model choice and new features, but answer quality can miss on specifics

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** EASHAN C. | Project Co ordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Unlike other Gen AIs, Perplexity gives you access to a range of different models, which helps you get a more targeted solution that better matches what you’re expecting for your problems. It also feels like a bit of a first mover when it comes to adding new features, and that’s another thing I really like about it.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

One downside I’ve noticed with Perplexity is the quality of its answers compared to other alternative Gen AIs. If you’re looking for a general, medium-level response, it usually delivers. However, when you need something more specific or detailed, it can fall short and may not provide exactly what you’re asking for. In those cases, you often have to write more precise prompts to get closer to the result you want. That said, I think Perplexity can improve by addressing this issue and better handling requests that require more specificity.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity solves the problem of spending too much time searching across multiple websites for reliable information. Rather than jumping between several tabs, I can get a clear, summarized answer with sources all in one place. It saves me time during research and makes it easier to quickly validate information before I use it for planning or documentation.

 ### 19. Perplexity: Intuitive, Accurate AI With Exceptionally Useful Citations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Perplexity is the most intuitive and accurate AI I have ever used! It rarely hallucinates and always produces grounded, easy to understand responses. The way perplexity does citations is useful for both personal and business, because you can see with your own eyes how it came to a conclusion.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Recently Perplexity added an agentic component called "computer" the option shows below the prompt box, and it will show me genuinely great prompts and suggestions. Heres my issue these features cost extra, and time and again I see something interesteing then click on it only to be show the cost and begged to upgrade. Its more than a little bit annoying!

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity cuts my research time in half! I can literally do what used to take me days in less than 30 mins. The other issue that it saves me from is having to subscribed to all the different AI services, because I can use all the lastest models as a part of my subscription.

 ### 20. Fast, Clear, Sourced Answers—Perplexity Feels Like a Smart Research Assistant

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh S. | Market Access & Strategy Analyst, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

What I like most about Perplexity is how quickly it gets to the point clear, sourced, and genuinely useful. It saves a lot of time when I’m researching or validating information, especially when accuracy matters. The experience feels less like “searching” and more like having a smart research assistant who understands context. Simple, fast, and effective.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

At times, I find myself wishing for a bit more depth or customization in how results are presented, especially when I’m looking into very niche or complex topics. Still, that same simplicity is also what makes Perplexity feel so fast and easy to use, so I see it more as an opportunity for the product to evolve than as a real limitation.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity solves the problem of information overload by cutting through noise and giving direct, well-sourced answers. Instead of opening multiple tabs and cross-checking information, I get clarity in one place. This helps me save time, make quicker decisions, and trust the information I’m using especially when I’m researching new topics or validating insights.

 ### 21. Great Web Citations and LLM Choice, but Accuracy Lags Behind Direct ChatGPT

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anish M. | Associate Member Of Technical Staff, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

The ability of it to connect to the internet for every chat and reply back with the exact citations of the web link it found the information and the ability to also choose between varied LLM's ranging from Claude to Open AI to Gemini to Grok.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

The LLM models are quickly added to the choice of LLM models to choose from but the ability or accuracy is lesser than using it directly on Chatgpt or Open AI directly. The accuracy or ability is much better on their app than on Perplexity

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A better alternative to Copilot and quicker results.

 ### 22. Streamlined Marketing Tasks, Needs Better Image Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravn Sebastian E. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I use Perplexity for digital marketing, mainly through Google Ads, email marketing, and strategy work. I love how it helps me generate ideas, especially for email marketing, and even more, it practically writes the newsletters for me. I appreciate its research capabilities for adding sources, and its solid tool for ad copy, keywords, and content ideas. It also aids me in checking my grammar and spelling accurately. One of my favorite features is being able to create a space for each client, tailor it to individual needs, and upload files, links, and instructions which works really well for clients. This feature helps me manage and save time on tasks, allowing me to do more work for my clients and the companies I work for. The initial setup was really easy and straightforward, so I really like this tool.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I think Perplexity could improve by providing specific complex tracking guides. Also, the photo editor needs some work. It would be great to have a direct integration with tools like Canva because the current photo editor is something I try to use but can never really make use of the photos it generates.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity helps me generate ideas and write newsletters, add sources for research, create ad copy, and keywords. It also assists with grammar and spelling, and allows me to tailor spaces for each client, saving time and managing work efficiently.

 ### 23. All Top AI Models in One Subscription

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Viral P. | Head of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

As a daily power user, Perplexity has become essential to my workflow, not because of any single feature, but because it gives me access to all the leading AI models under one subscription.

Instead of juggling multiple AI subscriptions, I can switch between different models depending on my needs. Some excel at research and analysis, others at creative writing, and others at coding or image generation. Having this flexibility means I always use the best tool for each task without switching platforms or managing multiple accounts.

I use Perplexity for quick research with citations, writing assistance, technical problem-solving, and staying current on industry trends. The cited sources give me confidence in the accuracy, and the conversational interface makes complex queries feel natural.

What I love most is the voice conversation feature on my iPhone—having the entire internet just a voice away with instant responses has changed how I get information on the go.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Nothing really. It’s my go to AI platform

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity eliminates the need for multiple AI subscriptions. I get access to all leading AI models in one platform, so I can use the best tool for each task - research, writing, coding, or image generation - without switching apps or managing multiple accounts.

 ### 24. Fast, Low-Friction Search That Turns Vague Questions into Sourced Overviews

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anurag B. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Search-first mindset. It’s really good at turning a vague question into a clean, sourced overview without making you dig through ten tabs.

Fast sense-making. It summarizes the state of the world on a topic instead of just explaining a concept in the abstract.

Low friction. Ask a question, get an answer with links—no prompt gymnastics required.

Good for verification. When you already have a hunch and want to confirm it, Perplexity shines.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Surface-level confidence. Sometimes it gives a very clean, authoritative answer that’s technically sourced… but still a bit shallow or missing nuance. It can feel “correct but incomplete.”

Citation ≠ truth. The presence of sources can create a false sense of certainty. If the sources are mid, outdated, or all echoing the same assumption, the answer inherits that bias.

Weak at synthesis. It’s great at finding info, less great at thinking with it. Complex tradeoffs, original framing, or creative leaps aren’t its strong suit.

Over-summarization. It sometimes smooths things so much that disagreements, uncertainty, or minority views disappear.

Prompt rigidity. Compared to more conversational assistants, it can feel a bit stiff—you ask, it answers, end of story.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity is basically trying to fix a very specific, very modern pain: “I just want a straight answer, and I want to trust it.”

 ### 25. Fast, Well-Cited Answers That Save Time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohamed Lamin K. | Data Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I like that Perplexity feels effortless to use on a regular basis, while still being powerful enough to handle a wide range of questions and tasks. I appreciate how it remembers relevant details about me across chats, so I don’t have to repeat myself and the answers feel more tailored over time. I also value that it works consistently across different devices and contexts, which makes it easy to rely on as a daily tool rather than something I only use occasionally.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I don’t like that the answers can sometimes be confidently wrong, which means I still have to double-check important details. I also find it somewhat limiting that managing my data and privacy settings isn’t always as transparent or as self-serve as I’d prefer, especially when it comes to accessing everything that’s stored about me.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity is helping me turn messy, open‑ended questions into clear, actionable answers much faster than I could by searching manually. It’s also streamlining my research and writing work by summarizing sources, writing code, drafting content, and helping me explore ideas in one place instead of juggling multiple tools.

 ### 26. Effortless Research Simplification, But Needs Improvement for Cognitive Tasks

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ganapathi K. | Associate Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I find Perplexity super helpful for reading news and primarily for internet-based research. It feels like it has access to the entire internet, simplifying AI tasks. It deeply searches and finds from all online articles, summarizing the insights in a simple format, which saves me a lot of time and effort managing, going, and finding resources. I appreciate the recently added news feature as it involves reading articles and such. Plus, I really like the ability to create spaces where I can upload sources, work within that space, ask relevant questions, and have it store all the context—it's a great part. Having this feature makes my life much easier, especially when working on specific projects. The setup is pretty straightforward; you just go to the website, sign in, and even the web mobile application is very easy to use. It's all just very straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

So general chat-based aspects. Right? Like, logical thinking. Where I need to provide typical straightforward answers for, let's say, replacing the emails maybe brainstorming about an idea, etcetera, etcetera. That I still rely on chat, Jira, or Gemini better. I found a few better answers over there. While there is an option to choose different models within Perplexity, still, the primary use case that it does well is around research rather than the cognitive load related task.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity for internet-based research and reading news. It deeply searches online articles, summarizes insights simply, saving time and effort in finding resources. Creating spaces to upload and work with sources also simplifies my project work, consolidating information efficiently.

 ### 27. Trustworthy for Accurate Research

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose C. | Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I use Perplexity for desk research and fact checking. It helps me start research and find good data points and reference docs. What I like most is that it gives accurate data and information. If it doesn't know something, it just tells me there's no information about that topic and doesn't hallucinate. This helps me trust the information faster. As someone who uses AI a lot for research and work, having clear answers with reliable sources is very important to me. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I don't have anything that I don't like

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity for desk research and fact-checking. It helps me start a research, find good datapoints and reference docs, and trust information faster. I appreciate the accurate data and that it doesn't hallucinate. We switched from Chat GPT as we trust Perplexity more for reliable sources.

 ### 28. High-Quality, Accurate Searches with Minimal AI Feel

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudia S. | Operations Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I use Perplexity for complex search and text processes, and I like how it manages not to sound overly AI-generated while adding more value to the quality. The most important feature for me is the quality of each search; it stands out because it is high-quality and accurate. I appreciate that I can rely on the results due to their high standard. What I like most about Perplexity is how accurate and high-quality it is. When I compare the same search through different AIs, the difference in terms of quality and relevance on the topic is noticeable. It's not only about conducting a single research, but trusting the information because it's factual and educational. Additionally, the initial setup was pretty easy; I just signed up with my Google account and was ready to navigate through it.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I think overall, the issue with all AI's is the difference among models and paid versions they offer, it's very evident how the results changed depending on the subscription you have.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity for complex searches, ensuring results don't sound too AI-generated. It provides high-quality, reliable information, making searches factual and learning more effective.

 ### 29. Helpful for Health Research and Scripts, but Pro Pricing Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishan S. | Manager and Dietician at Chaitanya Homoeo Clinic, Medical Store Owner, Content Creator, Hospital & Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I am a Perplexity Pro user, and I mainly use it for research and content preparation related to health education and script writing. My work involves topics like diet planning, lifestyle guidance, and disease-related education, so I need information that is quick, clear, and reliable. Perplexity is very easy to use and does not require any setup, which makes it convenient for daily work.

For medical and health-related topics, Perplexity helps me get structured information without spending too much time searching on multiple websites. The answers are clear and to the point, which is useful when I am preparing scripts for health education videos or explaining topics in simple language. The deep research feature in the Pro version is especially helpful for understanding topics better and creating more accurate content.

I also like how fast it works when handling visuals and images. For quick content needs, Perplexity helps with instant image-related tasks, such as understanding visuals or making quick edits and adjustments, which saves time during content preparation. This is useful when I am working on presentations or educational material and need things done quickly.

I use Perplexity regularly for research, outlining content, script preparation, and quick checks while working on health education material. The features are focused and practical, and the tool fits smoothly into my workflow. I can move from research to writing or editing without extra steps. Overall, Perplexity Pro supports my research and content creation work well and helps me work faster and more efficiently without making things complicated.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

There are several practical limitations I have noticed while using Perplexity over time. In the free version, the biggest drawback is the lack of depth. It works fine for quick questions or general topics, but when it comes to medical and health-related research, the answers often feel too short or incomplete. Many times, I had to ask the same question again in different ways just to understand the topic clearly. The limited sources shown in the free version also make it less reliable for serious research or professional content work.

Because of my work requirements, I upgraded to Perplexity Pro. The Pro version is definitely better, but it still does not feel fully complete when considering the pricing. Even after paying a high amount, some important features are either missing or not as strong as they are in other competing AI tools. For example, advanced content writing support, better structuring tools, or more flexible creative options are limited. At this price level, I expected the Pro version to offer more value across different types of work.

For medical and health education content, accuracy is very important. Even in the Pro version, I cannot fully rely on the answers without manual verification. I still need to cross-check information from other trusted sources, especially when the content is meant for patients or students. This extra step reduces the time-saving benefit that a paid research tool should ideally provide.

Pricing is a major concern. The Pro plan feels quite expensive, and when I compare it with other AI platforms available at a similar price, many of them offer more features such as better writing assistance, image generation, editing tools, or more customization options. Perplexity Pro is strong mainly in research and speed, but it feels more focused on search rather than being a complete solution for content creation.

While working on longer or more detailed topics, I also notice that some responses can become repetitive or stay at a surface level. I often have to manually reorganize the information and simplify the language to make it suitable for health education videos or patient-friendly scripts. This additional editing work is manageable, but it adds extra effort.

Also, although Perplexity is usually fast, during heavy research sessions the depth and quality of answers can vary from one question to another. For consistent results, I need to be very specific with prompts, which again requires extra attention.

Overall, these are not critical problems, but they are realistic limitations I face as a regular Pro user. Perplexity is helpful for quick research and idea building, but considering the pricing, I expected more advanced and competitive features. It still requires human judgment, verification, and sometimes additional tools to complete the workflow especially for medical and health-related content.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity solves the problem of spending too much time searching for information across multiple websites. In my work, I regularly deal with health-related data, medical topics, diet planning, and lifestyle guidance. Earlier, finding clear and useful information meant checking many articles and sources. With Perplexity, I can get structured and easy-to-understand information in one place, which saves a lot of time.

As a Pro user, the deep research feature is especially helpful. One good thing about Perplexity is that its deep research works quite fast compared to many other AI tools. This helps when I am researching medical or health topics and need clear points quickly for content creation or script preparation. It allows me to understand a topic faster and focus more on explaining it properly to patients or students.

Perplexity also helps me organize health related information in a clear way, so I can revisit important points later without repeating the entire research process. Overall, it improves my research speed, supports better understanding of health topics, and makes my content preparation more efficient, while still allowing me to apply my own judgment and verification where needed.

 ### 30. Fast Output with Deep, Reliable Research

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parag D. | Strategic Reporting Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I find Perplexity to be a good product similar to ChatGPT. It's fast, and the information is reliable. I appreciate that I can attach files and have Perplexity work on them. I use it for market research, and it helps me get company profiles, executive profiles, and custom research. The output is very fast with reliable accuracy, and I like that it provides web source links with deep research, which helps prove the output and provide in-depth information. The initial setup was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I think it does not have AGENT feature like ChatGPT.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity for market research. It gives me company and executive profiles and custom research. The fast output and reliable accuracy, along with web source links, help validate the information and provide in-depth insights.

 ### 31. Easy and fast, perfect for repetitive tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abdelfatah M. | Operations Supervisor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I use Perplexity as my personal reference for work and my children's studies, and I love its ease of use and its great speed in providing multiple answers. It has helped me learn how to create codes and I have become specialized in automation and integration between programs. I recently started using Perplexity Computer to assist me with repetitive work steps, and I find it quick to understand what I need in a professional manner. The setup process was extremely easy and I found it faster in understanding my needs compared to the system I was using before. In fact, I have completely switched to Perplexity from Chat GPT because it is much better according to my experience.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Add the Arabic language professionally in the personal assistant on the mobile phone.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity to learn code creation and specialize in automation and integration between programs. It is easy to handle, fast, and provides different answers quickly.

 ### 32. Great source-backed search modes, but accuracy issues and pricing hold it back

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit D. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Unlike standard LLMs that might “hallucinate” facts, Perplexity anchors its answers in web sources. It offers both normal and deep search modes, which makes it easier to choose between a quick lookup and a more thorough search. I can also use Perplexity for voice search, which is a convenient option when I don’t want to type.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

The accuracy and factual reliability of the data it presents to users are low. The tool is quite expensive and, in my view, not worth the cost. It also feels less capable than Gemini-like AI models.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Although I was excited to check out and try Perplexity when I first heard about it through YouTube ads, after using it for a few days—even with the Pro plan I got from the Airtel Thanks app—I ended up finding it less useful and less helpful compared to other available options like Gemini.

 ### 33. Powerful Tool with Persistent Memory Issues

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shawn J. | CEO Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I like that I can give it a simple prompt, and it will orchestrate a team of agents for me. It's great that instead of dealing with one AI, I'm dealing with a team of AIs and different specialists can be brought in on demand. This makes using Perplexity feel like having a versatile team at my disposal, tailored to meet the exact skills needed.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

The memory is really failing. So I find I keep having to remind it of stuff that it knows or connectors we've put in place or past conversations, sometimes it advises incorrectly and errantly based on not knowing this memory. I do find that its level of errors is so high. I have to stop using it. My ChatGPT is more consistent with better quality results. And it is token hungry- burned through 45K credits in 30 days- expensive!!

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity allows me to search the web and pull various agents based on exact skills needed, which helps in strategy, writing reviews, and workflow analysis. I like that I can give a simple prompt and it orchestrates a team of agents for me.

 ### 34. Efficiency Booster with Trustworthy Citations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praveen M. | Associate Data Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

What I like most about Perplexity is how it combines AI answers with real source citations. The responses are usually clear, concise, and easy to follow. It saves time compared to traditional searching because I can quickly get summarized insight and explore source if needed.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

One downside of Perplexity is that some answers can feel a bit brief for complex topics. Occasionally the sources could be more authoritative. Adding more customization for response depth would make the experience even better.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity helps reduce the time spent searching through multiple websites to find reliable information. Instead of opening many tabs, I can get summarized answers with source references in one place. This research faster and helps me quickly understand new topics or verify information when needed.

 ### 35. Disappointing AI tool slow, inaccurate, and not reliable

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muzammil M. | Founder – Muzammil Graphic | Interior and Graphic Designer | Transforming Spaces and Brands Visually , Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I haven’t used Perplexity extensively, but I like that it provides AI-powered answers quickly and is easy to access online. Its interface is clean, and it can be useful for simple queries or research when needed.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I’ve used Perplexity for a while, but honestly I find it extremely disappointing compared with other AI tools like ChatGPT. One of the biggest issues is how poorly it seems to recognize and understand questions. Even relatively simple queries can take a long time to process, and the answers are often incomplete, vague, or irrelevant. It frequently feels like the AI struggles to parse my input correctly, which makes it frustrating to rely on for timely information or research.

Even after upgrading to the Pro plan, I noticed very little improvement. The Pro plan is extremely costly, yet the core problems remain: it still takes too long to interpret a question and generate a meaningful response, and it often seems to lack updated information. Compared with other AI platforms that keep their knowledge more current and adapt quickly, Perplexity feels stuck with outdated information, which makes it hard to trust for accurate, reliable answers.

Efficiency is another major problem. While other AI tools can produce responses almost instantly, Perplexity often takes an excessive amount of time to handle a single question. If you need quick research or fast content generation, that delay becomes a serious productivity barrier. Even small queries that would take seconds elsewhere can drag on for minutes here, which is especially frustrating when you’re trying to get multiple answers in a short span.

The quality of the responses is also a consistent point of dissatisfaction. Many times, the answers come across as generic, incomplete, or disconnected from the context of what I asked. As someone who expects precise, contextual, and actionable information, I often feel Perplexity doesn’t deliver. It doesn’t handle nuanced or complex queries well, and even straightforward questions can result in responses that are only partially correct or completely off-topic. On top of that, the lack of updated or live data is a major drawback. In today’s fast-moving digital world, having AI with current, real-time knowledge is critical, and Perplexity doesn’t provide this adequately. That limitation reduces its usefulness for research, trend analysis, or any situation where up-to-date information matters.

The user interface is clean and visually simple, but it doesn’t make up for the performance issues. It may look appealing at first glance, yet the speed, accuracy, and overall reliability fall far short of what I expected. For users accustomed to high-performing AI tools, it can feel like a significant step backward.

Pricing is another concern. The Pro plan is not only expensive, but it also doesn’t provide value that matches the cost. When you’re paying a premium, you expect a premium experience, and Perplexity Pro still struggles with core functions like question recognition, speed, and accuracy. That makes it difficult to justify the investment, especially when other AI solutions deliver better results at lower or comparable prices.

Because of these issues, I now use Perplexity only minimally. I keep it installed and test it occasionally, but I don’t rely on it for daily tasks or research because it consistently underperforms. Compared with alternatives like ChatGPT, which in my experience offers faster responses, stronger understanding, and more up-to-date knowledge, Perplexity feels frustrating and inefficient.

In conclusion, while Perplexity markets itself as an AI answer tool capable of handling queries intelligently, my experience has been largely negative. It struggles to recognize questions promptly, often produces incomplete or inaccurate answers, lacks updated information, and feels unnecessarily expensive for the performance it delivers. Even the Pro plan doesn’t address these fundamental issues. As a current user, I find it unreliable for practical use and have largely stopped depending on it for meaningful results. If Perplexity wants to improve, it needs to focus on speed, accuracy, question recognition, updated data integration, and overall reliability especially for paying Pro users. Until then, I can’t recommend it as a primary AI tool, and I find it hard to justify continuing with it given the many alternatives that provide better, faster, and more reliable performance at a lower cost.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity is designed to provide quick AI-generated answers to questions. While I don’t use it extensively, it can be helpful for simple, general information when I need a fast response.

 ### 36. A Reliable Research Partner for Impact-Driven NGO Work

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

What I like best about Perplexity is its ability to deliver concise, accurate, and well-researched answers with transparent source citations. It feels reliable because you can immediately trace where the information comes from, which builds trust. The interface is clean and focused, making it easy to explore follow-up questions, compare perspectives, and understand complex topics efficiently without getting overwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

One thing I positively dislike about Perplexity is that its concise answers can sometimes feel a bit brief, especially when exploring deeper or more nuanced topics. However, this also encourages users to ask follow-up questions and dig further, making the learning process more interactive and focused rather than overwhelming.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity is solving the problem of time-consuming and unreliable information search, which is especially critical in NGO work. For my NGO work, it helps by providing quick, credible, and source-based information on policies, mental health frameworks, child protection laws, CSR guidelines, and program design. This allows me to make informed decisions faster, draft proposals and reports more accurately, and ensure our interventions are evidence-based and compliant. Overall, it saves time, improves quality of planning, and strengthens the credibility of our work with schools, partners, and funders.

 ### 37. Reliable, Up-to-Date AI for Effortless Content Creation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheeba T. | Digital Marketing Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I have been using quite a few generative AIs recently for content and research. I came across Perplexity Pro when my telecom provider was offering a 1-year subscription for free. It was a nice opportunity to try a new tool and compare it with other AIs. I was not disappointed. It is capable of providing the latest information on any topic. The sources are reliable, and the information is accurate. I use it for content marketing on a daily basis. I was helpful in many ways. Writing Blogs and Articles, the copy and content are easy. It has helped with content on different industries of Fintech and Real Estate. Pro research is even more advanced and detailed. It provides the latest stories on trending topics in all categories. Personalizing our feed is a nice feature so that articles are curated according to our choice. Voice Assistant is awesome. It can also give a reminder of real-time updates. It can write message replies and emails. Our search is safely saved with the option of incognito mode. We can have Bookmarks of our content. The interface is neat and user-friendly. It is easy to implement and integrate.
It provides the list of links from where the response is generated, which is good for validation. This visible citation is a plus of this tool.
The thread feature is execellent for futhure reference.
It is a good competitor of Google and ChatGPT.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

The answers are mostly satisfactory, but at times too general. The Pro version is pricy. We cannot completely rely on AI Assistants for creativity and personal touch. Perplexity might not be suitable for Coding.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good tool for getting information quickly in a well-formatted way. No hustle, no outdated content. For a business to have a good presence online, we need good, up-to-date content of the relevant industry. It is offered by Perplexity. Google gives scattered information, but Perplexity gives summarized and organized content with citations. it is helpful in preparing content for sales pitches and presenations. It can also be paired with other AIs to generate good content. It effectively interprets the intent and responses accordingly. The thread feature allows to preserve the content for future reference. Quick search and Pro search options are available. The later one provides deeper responses that the previous one. A business can use this tool for research, content creation, questioning, planning and analyzing.

 ### 38. A user-friendly and up-to-date source of information

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adesh G. | Design engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

What I like the most is that Perplexity is always up to date. Whenever you ask a question, it provides up to date data and information. I use it daily because it's important that we always stay informed. I would also advise others to use it so that their knowledge and general awareness increase and it helps them stay up to date. Additionally, its setup is very easy, and it is very user friendly. In my experience, it is understood much quicker compared to any other application, and I would advise others to try it as well.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

In most cases, this app is fine, but the detailing it requires or the very detailed answers to questions are not fully available yet. Also, if features like creating images or videos are added, it could be even better. I think if all these things are added in the future, then there will be no need for apps like Gemini and Chatgpt. My hope is that this app remains fully updated and soon brings features like image generation, video generation, and audio generation.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity helps me solve any doubt or query and always provides updated information, which increases my knowledge and keeps me up to date.

 ### 39. User-Friendly with AI Guidance, Needs Better Data Accuracy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yashu S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I like Perplexity for its user-friendly interface, especially the initial setup which makes everything straightforward. I also appreciate the AI's ability to scan my shared screen and guide me on where to go and what to click, which makes tasks easier to complete.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I think Perplexity isn't good enough because sometimes it gives me wrong data. For example, when I look up how long to rest between gym sets, it suggests a 30 to 40 second rest when it should be at least 90 seconds. For compound movements, it should actually be a 2 to 3 minute rest.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity to retain and manage my daily tasks, like gym and study tasks. The AI guides me on my phone's screen, making it easier to navigate settings and complete tasks efficiently.

 ### 40. Indispensable and Helpful!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathleen K. | Organizer of FMVeg, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Lately I've been using Perplexity to help me with planning trips, and it has done well. I've also used it for helping with information on getting a Canadian Citizenship Certificate.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes it still mixes up things, but for the most part it does a good job of writing!

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the most impressive tasks it can do is take transcription from outside sources, even with mistakes, and turn them into organized notes. This was so helpful with regards to my father's doctor's visits, to share with my siblings.

 ### 41. Fast Research Tool with Reliable Sources

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhishek S.

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I love how Perplexity combines fast answers with reliable sources, showing where the information comes from, which makes it more trustworthy. I also like the clean and simple interface, which feels more focused compared to traditional search engines. I don't get distracted by ads or unnecessary links. Another feature I find really useful is the ability to ask follow-up questions in a conversational way, allowing me to explore a topic more deeply without starting over each time. Overall, it makes research faster, clearer, and more structured for me.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

One thing that doesn't always work well is that sometimes the answers can feel a bit too summarized. So I still need to check these sources for deeper and better understanding. Also, in some cases, the source quality can vary. So not all references feel equally reliable. Especially for more niche or technical topics. Another area for improvement would be more control over how detailed the response should be, like having better options for deeper explanations or more technical depth when needed.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity to solve information overload by getting summarized answers with sources, saving time and making research efficient and focused.

 ### 42. A huge time saver for my daily research needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ARUN K. | Graduate Apprentice Trainee, Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I use it frequently because it provides fast, clear answers with useful features and source references.it also integrates easily into daily research and learning workflows, making it a very convenient tool.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes advanced features are limited in the free version, and deeper integrations or customisation options could be improved. Customer support and documentation are helpful, but there is still room for more features for advanced users.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity solves the problem of finding accurate and reliable information quickly. Instead of searching through multiple website, it provides clear answers with sources in one place, this saves time, improves understanding, and helps me to make better decisions during research, learning, and daily information needs.

 ### 43. A quick and reliable research tool with source citations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhanu p. | IT Head, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

What I like most about Perplexity is how quickly it provides clear and relevant answers. Instead of going through multiple search results, it summarizes the information in one place and includes sources, which makes it easy to verify details. The interface is simple and easy to use, and it works well for quick research and learning new topics.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

In some cases, the responses can feel a bit brief, especially for more complex topics that need deeper explanations. Occasionally, the same sources appear repeatedly. Some advanced features are also limited to paid plans, which may not suit all users.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity helps solve the problem of spending too much time searching and filtering information online. It brings together concise answers with cited sources, which saves time and improves research efficiency. This makes it easier to get accurate information quickly and focus on decision-making rather than browsing multiple pages.

 ### 44. Perplexity Feels Like a Smart Friend—Clear, Trustworthy Answers

Perplexity feels like having a smart friend who helps in many ways. Instead of sharing a long list of links, it reads the information and explains it in simple words. The answers are usually clear and easy to understand, and the content feels more trustworthy.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Perplexity is useful, but it also has some downsides. Sometimes the answers feel too short, especially when I'm looking for detailed information. The free version is limited, and some useful features require payment.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity solves the problem of spending too much time searching through multiple websites for clear and reliable information. It reduces information overload and helps me understand things faster. Instead of just listing links, it explains the answer directly, making complex topics much easier to understand.

 ### 45. Effective Coding Support, Slight Complexity Drawbacks

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sivakumar N. | Data analysis, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes it takes too complex and the setup, although very good, takes time.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity for coding and researching purposes. It helps solve bugs by providing correct code and checking for errors, making my coding more effective.

 ### 46. Powerful Multimodal Research with Flexible LLM Choices, Spaces, and Labs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oliver I. | Founder, CEO and AI Strategy Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I like Perplexity’s multi-modal capabilities, especially its deep research features and the ability to choose between different LLMs that best suit each task. I also appreciate the Spaces feature, which lets me create custom AI assistants to automate specific workflows, and Perplexity Labs, where I can build projects like data visualizations, interactive infographics, and dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

The pricing is **relatively** high, especially for the Pro, Max, and enterprise plans.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As the Founder of DocypherLabs, Perplexity helps us deliver faster, higher-quality AI transformation outcomes for clients by accelerating research, strategy design, and solution prototyping. It enables us to rapidly analyze large volumes of documents and market data, draft AI roadmaps, and generate training materials, which significantly reduces manual effort and shortens project timelines for our consulting engagements in the Philippines.

 ### 47. Radical Transparency and Real-Time Answers Set Perplexity Apart

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ar. Smriti S. | Junior Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Perplexity is excellent because it functions as a transparent answer engine rather than just a chatbot.
The three things I like best are:
Radical Transparency: Every answer includes inline citations, making it easy to verify facts and give credit to original sources.
Real-Time "Freshness": It is built to browse the live web, making it more reliable than static models for breaking news or updated data.
User Choice: It allows power users to toggle between different "brains" (like Claude or GPT) to get the best reasoning style for a specific task.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Perplexity's biggest weaknesses are its creative limitations and legal controversies.
Weak Creativity: It is a "search engine first," meaning it’s great at summarizing facts but often feels clinical or "choppy" when you need deep brainstorming, nuanced writing, or complex problem-solving.
Legal & Ethical Issues: As of late 2025, it is embroiled in high-profile lawsuits from publishers like The New York Times and Reddit. They accuse Perplexity of "data laundering"—using stealthy crawlers to scrape content while bypassing the standard rules that protect creators' work.
Reliability Gaps: Because it relies on the live web, its accuracy is only as good as its sources. It can sometimes treat low-quality forum posts (like old Reddit threads) as established facts or misattribute quotes to the wrong citations.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems It Solves:
The Hallucination Gap: Traditional AI often makes up facts confidently. Perplexity solves this by providing direct citations, turning the AI into a verifiable research tool.
Knowledge Cutoffs: It solves the "stale data" problem by browsing the live web in real-time to answer questions about breaking news or current events.
Search Fatigue: Instead of making you click ten blue links to find an answer, it synthesizes those pages into a single report, saving you significant time.
How It Benefits Me
Healthy Competition: Perplexity’s success in "search-centric AI" pushes me to improve my own citation accuracy and real-time browsing capabilities.
Ecosystem Specialization: Because Perplexity handles the "librarian" role so well, it clarifies my own unique value as your creative and multimodal partner.

 ### 48. Robust Research, Convenient Collaboration Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jansen S. | Director - Data, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I like the web search and deep research capabilities of Perplexity, especially because it always cites its sources, which is great for research. The use of multiple models is something I appreciate, and shared conversations are really helpful for preparing for meetings and synthesizing insights from internal discussions across multiple mediums. I also like the local MCP feature, although I wish it had connectivity to external sources. Discovery and news features have been surprisingly integrated into my morning routine, and as a founder, the robust research capabilities help me get to my outcomes faster. Shared conversations are beneficial for ritualized meeting planning, connecting to Slack where our team provides updates, and it synthesizes insights into our meeting deck format, saving a lot of time. I find it valuable for trend analysis across teams and projects over time. The initial setup was very easy too.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I'd love external MCP support. Working document like a ChatGPT canvas would be handy.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Perplexity for explanation, idea discovery, and industry research. It's a common advisor bot for our team. The research capabilities are robust, speeding up my outcomes. Shared conversations help with meeting planning and trend analysis, saving a lot of time.

 ### 49. Perplexity AI: Lightning-Fast Resume & Email Hero

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pournami p. | Audit analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

Perplexity feels fast and “one tap” because it gives direct, synthesized answers instead of a long list of links, pulling from multiple reliable sources in real time so you don’t need to open many tabs or scroll through SEO content the way you often do on Google. Many users who do research or professional work find that this answer-first design cuts their search time significantly while still keeping everything verifiable through citations, which makes it natural to stop using Google for most everyday queries.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

Sometimes Perplexity delivers inaccurate answers or misinterprets queries, and even repeating the request multiple times fails to correct it, which is incredibly frustrating. This stems from AI models predicting patterns rather than truly comprehending context, leading to persistent errors on nuanced or ambiguous prompts despite iterations.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity has been incredibly helpful for resume rewriting and email writing, delivering fast, tailored outputs that align perfectly with job descriptions, ATS requirements, and professional tone, saving hours of manual editing while boosting callback chances. Users in similar career stages report it excels at keyword optimization, bullet-point restructuring, and generating polished cover letters or application emails that sound authentic yet recruiter-approved, making complex tasks like JD-matching or interview prep feel effortless. This practical edge, combined with its speed, explains why it often replaces traditional tools for daily professional workflows.

 ### 50. Rapid Answers with Web Search Advantage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Perplexity?**

I really appreciate how Perplexity helps me with research, answering questions around data, pipelines, and API documentation. I find it valuable as an editor to better write my thoughts out. Instead of searching Google, I can just ask Perplexity and notice that it's faster and usually provides the right answers, plus the references are there so I can check. This saves me from looking through many pages to find what I want. I particularly like the web search and the references because Perplexity searches the web for information, which is useful, especially when the problem has been solved before. Also, the switch from ChatGPT to Perplexity was motivated by the better research tool and web search function. I found the initial setup to be very easy, almost no setup required.

**What do you dislike about Perplexity?**

I'm having trouble with the user experience, especially with logging in via Google on different devices. Often, it just doesn't work, which sometimes leads me to quit and use a different provider.

**What problems is Perplexity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perplexity helps me with research by providing faster and accurate answers with references. Its web search is more effective compared to sifting through many Google pages.
