PermitCore is developer-first software licensing infrastructure that covers the complete create, implement, manage, and sell workflow in one platform. Software vendors can define licensing models, integrate enforcement into their applications, operate licenses after purchase, and sell products through a built-in branded Store without building a separate licensing backend or commerce layer. The built-in Store is a core part of PermitCore. Vendors publish their software on a customer-facing storefront, accept payments through their own Stripe account, and automatically deliver a working license after checkout. PermitCore charges 0% sales commission, so vendors keep their product revenue while owning the payment relationship and customer experience. PermitCore supports node-locked, floating, offline, subscription, perpetual, trial, and metered licensing. Vendors can manage customers, devices, activations, seats, entitlements, renewals, and product access from one dashboard. Entitlements can be changed without shipping a new application build, while analytics and event history help teams understand activations, revenue, suspicious usage, and webhook activity. Developers can integrate through the REST API or maintained SDKs for .NET, Node.js, Python, Java, C++, PHP, Go, and Unity. Applications can validate licenses and retrieve validity, expiry, seats, features, and trial state with minimal integration work. Security features include client-side AES-256-GCM protection for license keys, signed offline tokens using ECDSA P-256, and tenant isolation backed by PostgreSQL row-level security. PermitCore is designed for independent developers, software studios, and growing SaaS or desktop software businesses that want one system for the full licensing lifecycle, from creating a license model to delivering a paid license to a customer.
