Trip Grouping is Handy, But Needs Better Options **Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026 **What do you like best about Perk (formerly TravelPerk)?** I like that it's nice having all of the travel items listed under the same 'Trip'. **What do you dislike about Perk (formerly TravelPerk)?** Having to go through Perk(formerly TravelPerk) is a bit more of a hassle for me since I've been capable of finding flights and hotels myself. When the trip changes, I've run into issues where the rental car or something else doesn't automatically update or alert me to update it myself. It's frustrating that Perk(formerly TravelPerk) sometimes shows worse prices than I find online or doesn't have the flight route at all. The flight comparison tool isn't entirely comprehensive of all flights. The hotel searching tool is a bit janky and sometimes doesn't show Marriott hotels, which is frustrating as a Marriott loyalist. **What problems is Perk (formerly TravelPerk) solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like that Perk(formerly TravelPerk) lists all travel items under the same 'Trip', but I find it a hassle since I could previously compare and book better options myself. ### 2. Having to go through support again and again takes so much effort that it ends up feeling worse than just booking everything myself. **What problems is Perk (formerly TravelPerk) solving and how is that benefiting you?** So far, none of these issues have been resolved. If anything, it feels like they’re only getting worse. ### 3. It's easy to find flights etc **What do you dislike about Perk (formerly TravelPerk)?** I disagree with the way refundable rooms are booked. No money should be taken by the hotel until the refund date has passed, or the guest should pay at the hotel. The fact that money is taken at the time of booking for a refundable room is a waste of time and creates unnecessary admin. I book for C-suite and their dates change all the time. Also, the email responses are awful. I have never experienced anything like this before. I have one email that still hasn’t been responded to, and it’s been two weeks now. I have also called twice in the last three weeks to get something actioned, only for it not to be done. So now nothing happens over email or when I call, and this is for C-suite—it’s not good enough. I need quick responses that I can trust will actually be actioned. I no longer need to fill out my expense reports for transportation, everything is already paid by the company, so I almost have no expense reports anymore. **What do you dislike about Perk (formerly TravelPerk)?** The difficulty with Perk is when you need to modify your trip, whether it's the times or the days. It's a bit more complicated than when you book directly with SNCF. The platform is not very intuitive, and therefore some employees who are not comfortable with computers have struggled to get the hang of it. **What problems is Perk (formerly TravelPerk) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Perk allows me not to advance expenses related to travel since the payments are validated by my company, and I no longer need to fill out expense reports, everything is already paid by the company. ### 5. The support team is quick and reliable. **What do you dislike about Perk (formerly TravelPerk)?** I need to contact the support team to change even basic things, like the name of the "Trip" on TravelPerk. I prefer self-serve model for at least essential, commonly made changes. **What problems is Perk (formerly TravelPerk) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Travel perk lets me quickly and conveniently book plane and hotel tickets using the company card. The alternative for me would be to purchase the tickets with a personal card and upload receipts, which is quite a hassle. ### 7. The UX needs to be updated because navigation isnt very intuitive. **Recommendations to others considering Perk (formerly TravelPerk):** Make sure you look at all the features before you consider this platform **What problems is Perk (formerly TravelPerk) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Not solving any problems really, its a travel booking engine and quite a basic one at that. As well it is very easy and straight forward to approve other people trip requests. **What do you dislike about Perk (formerly TravelPerk)?** - fare rules of the tickets should be displayed during the moment of reservation. Not only baggage allowance and if it refundable or not ticket. It should give a break down of penalty fees in case of date/name change is required. - option to book flexible/refundable ticket should be displayed in the "filter" section - chats should not be deactivated after 5 min of clients silence. As we book or request changes trips during the working day not always we have time to have a back to back chat for 20-50 minutes. Written request - writen answer should be available before request is solved, so client doesnt have to repeat . request all other again - I really want to have option to review my team bookings after/before the trip on my profile - CS should be aware of the fare rules so it wont take time to advice of options - Airbnb reservation should be integrated to travelperk **What problems is Perk (formerly TravelPerk) solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main benefit is saving time when we book the trip.
