I liked PerformYard because it brought everything together in one place — 1:1's, annual reviews, surveys — which made staying on top of performance stuff easy. But it wasn’t great for conversations since it didn’t really support ongoing back-and-forth between managers and employees throughout the month (or any timeframe). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about PerformYard Performance Management? The system currently restricts collaborative commenting during the review period. Only the individual assigned to the form (typically the employee) can add or edit notes up until submission. Managers cannot view or add comments until the form is submitted by the employee. This means that real-time, ongoing collaborative note-taking between employee and manager throughout the month (or any timeframe) is not supported. It would be helpful to have a feature that allows both parties to contribute notes continuously or asynchronously before submission, to better capture ongoing feedback and thoughts. The Perform Yard implementation I used was super useful for the 1:1 Check in with my manager and 6 months reviews helping to track professional progresses. The cheklist on the goal was just a list without the possibility to edit and add more . Just the message function was a little limited. The 1:1 Check In has only flat text boxes to record the information . Since our 1:1 was weekly it was necessary to write every time the date when the sentence was written to remind us what we would talk about. We went from using a manual performance review process - 1 on 1 meetings with emails back and forth. So performyard worked well for what we needed. It was a simple looking interface and was intuitive but only once you got to the screen you wanted. It took slot of clicks to where you needed to be. Found text boxes were not easily formatted in terms of bullet points etc. I also recall some managers saying the reporting functionality was not as good as the rest of the software but that's only what I heard. It assisted us move from a manual email trail and note taking manually for all our performance reviews. We had no goal setting ability (apart from our manual method).
