**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ullas M. | Senior Test Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Perfecto?**

Its inside our Org network and need not need seperate authentication. It is a great tool for running automation tests on real devices and also provides us good fleet of mobiles to test upon.
It is a great tool and the support team is awesome with very less turn around time for queries and issue resolution.
All new mobile phone models in the market and also beta version browsers are available earlier to the release.
Great for reporting as well. Helps a lot in manual device level testing as well. It can be used from anywhere, which gives the opportunity for big companies to enable testing from offshore. App installation is very easy and also has a repository to store and make versioning of the apps possible.

Biometrics and other gps related testing is also great. Especially when automating these scenarios. The support team also provides technical guidance on your testing methodologies. Automation framework review and devops pipeline build support is some of the extended feature support which the team provides.
Overall its fantastic.

(2) Test Automation: It provides an effective test automation tool and maximize the use of automation to the reduce the cost of regression testing.
(3) Types of Testing: It considers different types of testing (functional, performance, security and compliance).

The most important part is it supports the new iOS/Android/other OS versions very soon.
As a user, it has satisfied me on all the parameters like functionality, performance, network, security, compatibility, conformance, usability, installation & provisioning etc.

**What do you dislike about Perfecto?**

(1) Script re-usability is low. Therefore switching to a different platform might result in higher cost.
(2) Sharing source code may not always be possible and changing the source code might increase the risk of missing some defects.

**Recommendations to others considering Perfecto:**

Combined with solutions to mobile specific aspects of application testing with traditional best practices and testing processes, it solves most of the challenges at present. Surely, this is the best platform I have ever used.

**What problems is Perfecto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

(1) We are using this platform for app development for logistics industry (mobile app for delivery boys in last mile deliveries and reverse logistics industry).
(2) For each new features added, we are quick than our competition in terms of release.
(3) It provides us the speed to testify our product on variety of hardware devices as well as OS in faster and smoother way.

  ### 35. Perfecto

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon S. | Senior Software Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2016

**What do you like best about Perfecto?**

It is great mobile test tool, and will kick-start your research in the extensive software market. Few of the best features I promote are:
- native UI based on a proprietary TCL-based programming language
-. REST API for integration with other interfaces including WebDriver and JUnit
- simulators or cloud-based real devices to run tests on.
As the name suggests Perfecto is perfect for mobile testing.

**What do you dislike about Perfecto?**

Notoriously slow. No getting away from script-reusability. As devices get more advanced, scripts and codes don’t give the same output, adding layers of complexity.

**Recommendations to others considering Perfecto:**

Must understand all possible environmental circumstances that could interfere with the normal usage over the lifetime of the app. Also, need to analyze expected functional/usage demands under those circumstances.

**What problems is Perfecto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Generally, used for functional tests and performance tests. Required for device agnostic testing across multiple platforms along with detailed and shareable test reports.

  ### 36. A useful mobile testing tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajit P. | Software Developer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2016

**What do you like best about Perfecto?**

Automation of mobile websites is quickly becoming common practice and Perfecto seems to be one of the leaders in this field. Among many other amazing features, the ones I liked the best are:
(1) Large selection of mobile devices and OS versions
(2) REST API for integration with other interfaces

**What do you dislike about Perfecto?**

What I disliked most is that it was sometime laggy and slow. Given that their services are cloud-based, this might be reasonable in some sense. However, I'm sure they have fixes in the pipeline to do something about this.

**Recommendations to others considering Perfecto:**

Make sure you understand that you are using a tool based on proprietary TCL-based language. If you are coming from open-source tools, then you might need to re-write the tests. The benefits of doing so are worth it though.

**What problems is Perfecto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clearly, the biggest reason for using it was to test our app across multiple platforms (and devices) without needing to own one. Some of our testers are not strictly speaking "programmers" and the use of a native UI allows them to test user behavior without any coding and write the expected results in plain English.

  ### 37. Perfecto: excellent support and user community, documentation

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Perfecto?**

Perfecto has an excellent support staff, community and documentation and issues are handled in a timely fashion. The suite of devices is extensive and the overall network is reliable.

**What do you dislike about Perfecto?**

We would like to see more geographic coverage of networks and devices in Asia. Also, some other tools transfer URLs from device to device; with Perfecto, the URL needs to be input each time a new device is opened.

**Recommendations to others considering Perfecto:**

Perfecto is gracious in allowing a trial period. Run tests and ask plenty of questions; they are very responsive and point you in the right direction.

**What problems is Perfecto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our number one priority is test coverage on a wide variety of devices, networks and geographic locations. In this respect, Perfecto fits the bill. We save time and development costs by quickly testing and debugging issues.

  ### 38. Good Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prachi G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Perfecto?**

It is extraordinary for snappy survey cycles at short notice, to supplement our QA groups with extra expansiveness and scope. Easy to setup virtual gadgets and use. There are such a large number of stages, gadgets, and OS changes that running these completely in-house is a comprehensive and costly approach.

**What do you dislike about Perfecto?**

The client interface is exceptionally befuddling. As we all know, the time expense of an application's advancement will take a while notwithstanding for little activities or much more.

**What problems is Perfecto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has permitted myself and my organization to test our new portable applications (particularly, iOS) on an assortment of gadgets that we didn't have accessible. Perfecto has likewise gone well beyond by helping us analyze our audits.

  ### 39. Flexibility to Share

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2016

**What do you like best about Perfecto?**

Perfecto allows us to share a number of devices across our team which has a number of remote members who wouldn't otherwise have access to enough test devices. I like that there is a good checkout mechanism that prevents users from stumbling over each other on the same device. I also like that we can provide text to the suite and it will type it in for us on the device, a chore that otherwise would be pretty annoying with a mouse. Support has been really helpful dealing with questions about new devices and workflows that we have implemented in Perfecto.

**What do you dislike about Perfecto?**

There is a bit of lag associated with operating a device remotely. Because these are real devices, when they're checked out to other people you can't use them, so sometimes we end up with a queue for choice units. I think that the checkout system causes some confusion when testers hog devices.

**Recommendations to others considering Perfecto:**

The tool can be made more useful if you include more devices. You can check out devices so that you don't interfere with other testers which helps a lot too.

**What problems is Perfecto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can provide our remote users access to a larger spectrum of devices than if they had to use their own units. We've reduced complaints in our testing department by providing a larger number of devices that they can share. We've saved money by not getting separate test kits for each of the groups.

  ### 40. The experience was not good.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2016

**What do you like best about Perfecto?**

We were able to run tests on the devices that we had sent over to be placed in the cloud. We were able to see the videos for demo to our Product

**What do you dislike about Perfecto?**

The fact that we needed to purchase and send devices and run on real devices meant that we could only test on a limited number of devices.

**Recommendations to others considering Perfecto:**

Would not recommend

**What problems is Perfecto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to run our desktop test cases on the devices as is without modified code to run on the devices. We were able to run them but with the benefit gained the cost was much more. This caused us to terminate the license.

  ### 41. Nice tool for cross platform mobile testing, it goes beyond general emulators

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chayanika p. | Quality Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2016

**What do you like best about Perfecto?**

Among many amazing features which I liked and used are -
- It has got all sorts of mobile devices and operation system versions to choose from.
- It has got an utility which allows quickly key in long text
- Zoom in/out, landscape/portrait view, take snapshot are other features which gives you other real device like options to carry out mobile testing extensively.

**What do you dislike about Perfecto?**

Here are few deterrents -
1) Reponse time is way slower than real device, need a lot of patience.
2) It didn't work for me on while I was on my companies VPN.

**What problems is Perfecto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was telecommuting and had to do native and responsive design testing across various mobile platforms and it wasn't feasible to have physical access to all different mobile devices, there are tools which allows you to test responsiveness at different breakpoints, but no other mobile specific features can be tested.

That being said the greatest value I realized is that it enables you to do realistic mobile testing without having to have physical access to those devices.

  ### 42. Fantastic Mobile Testing Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2016

**What do you like best about Perfecto?**

I used Perfecto Mobile in a corporate environment to test a few mobile apps. Our issue was that we didn't have all of the test devices available on hand for what we really needed to test against. Enter Perfecto Mobile manual testing. You can test on real devices and see how your application performs in real time.

**What do you dislike about Perfecto?**

While it was great to see the app perform on a real device in real time, it was a bit laggy. That is to be expected, however, since it's basically they are just mirroring the display of the device over the internet. If they could make the connection speed a bit better, the service would be vastly improved.

**Recommendations to others considering Perfecto:**

Be prepared to wait a bit and have a few connection issues when doing manual testing with real devices. However, it is fantastic to be able to use the REAL hardware in real time to test mobile apps.

**What problems is Perfecto solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has allowed myself and my company to test our new mobile applications (specifically, iOS) on a variety of devices that we didn't have available. While we can test the application using a simulated device on a computer, we needed to be sure it worked correctly on the real hardware as well.
