It was glitchy. If you highlighted it too quickly, it would highlight the whole transcript. It wasn't very easy to overlap on recording clips either. Which made it difficult to make multiple clips on one topic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wasn't so sure about the future of the tool because you saw little updates and sometimes some bugs weren't corrected fast enough. Very easy to use software and fairly intuitive. Great for a "set it and forget it" transcription service, if that's what you need (but more about that in a minute).

I used it mostly for my own reference after client consultation calls. It was very easy to go back and refer to specific parts of a conversation where I may have forgotten details or context.

Also, it is GREAT for making training videos for my subcontractors. When a client shows me how they want something done, all I have to do is share the clip of that section of the call with my subcontractor instead of recreating the training for them in a separate call or video. Some people may love the "auto-join" premise of Perfect Recall, but I found it annoying after a while. I only want the transcriber to join some of my Zoom calls, so I would have to remember to go into the app every two weeks and remove it from the calls I don't want the transcriber to join. I also had a client report that my transcriber bot had joined a call I wasn't even present in, just because it was on my calendar with a Zoom link. This could be a benefit for some busy CEOs, to be fair and you can turn off the auto-join feature.

Ultimately, I was frustrated by the quality of the bot transcription. I know it will never be incredibly accurate, since it is a bot, but there are industry terms I use frequently that the bot doesn't understand and it transcribed the same brand word differently every time someone said it. There's not a way to set and save a glossary of my own terms.

Some other small grievances: lack of speaker identification (which is on their roadmap) and using the transcription editor is, frankly, a pain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My team spends hours on Zoom doing sales and customer calls and Perfect Recall is a game changer for knowledge sharing and knowledge management.

Being able to highlight sections of the transcript and send it as a video clip has removed a lot of the friction around communicating what a customer said, and is more engaging that written notes.
