## Peregrine Connect Reviews
  ### 1. Excellent application and quite useful.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kenya h. | Customer Support Professional, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

I like it because this application adapts perfectly to our needs and in that of our business, we can create web services, messaging middleware or direct integrations. It is a commercial platform based on Microsoft, so it is a friendlier application to compare it with other software. The support is excellent, the Neuron team was always able to provide a quick and effective answer to our doubts; Any correction or feature we request has been released in a few days. Simplify messages and enable web services to accelerate the adoption of service-oriented architecture.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

The documentation used to inform about the new donation functions is not well organized. It seems that a more cohesive documentation package, the focus on solving real problems would help solve this. We encountered some reliability issues, most of which were quickly solved by the Neuron development team.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Undoubtedly the applications are the future of all companies, right now companies that are not on social networks are disappearing, but soon all companies will have to have their application to compete with others, so I recommend one of the best platforms that I know so that they can do this task successfully Peregrine Connect. We must always be attentive to what the evolution of the market asks us.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It generally covers several systems to limit manual work and minimize errors. Without a doubt, it helps us to automate business processes, it also allows us to develop new applications in a very dynamic way.

  ### 2. Extensive Integration Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad A. | System Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Latest version is offering extensive adapters to connect different ERPs like SAP, Microsft Dynamics etc.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

I didnt like its visual interface which gets me old look and also navigation options must be improved.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using SAP ERP as core system which is then connected to many .Net applications serving different large scale purpose. Neuron ESB enabled this integration between our SAP ERP and .Net applications. Neuron ESB provides the messaging backbone for one of our critical services applications. We are currently using Neuron ESB to distribute millions of messages.

  ### 3. Great product to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Isabella B. | Blogger, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2019

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

It provides you with easy to use technology, fast performance, easy web services and messaging systems. It is cost saving for you. It is similar to Microsoft technology, so if you are use to using Microsoft then it will be easier for you to work with. Friendly support and can help you if you need help.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

It could be improved, it is very simple and can be very understandable when using, but is a tad bit basic look. Making it a bit more modern would make it more adaptable to generations of this era. It's not very organized when it informs you of new features.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Please try the trial, it may be very easy and very understandable, but try the trial to see if it is something you would actually use.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not really solving problems, I used the trial to see if I would like it, and I do. It is very simple to use, and very understandable which makes it easier.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** André B. | Systems developer in Integrations, Utilities, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

I really like the stableness we have experienced. It has meant that customers can sleep at night and developers tend to sleep well when the customers do.
Intuitive development process means fast path from idea to solution, if you have tried other platforms you will probably be surprised with the short time you need.
I really like the support from the company (Neudesic), I have had all questions answered within a few hours. That is the advantage of a company that is focussed on the product and the users.
Easy -> happy developers

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

It would have to be that that there are not as many developers that know the product as would be the case for eg. BizTalk. So not as many articles in forums where you can exchange ideas and experiences.
I would really like integration developers to try it out, I was convinced in a few months.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Get somebody that knows .NET. Get the Neuron ESB trial. Do some integrations. Evaluate the time spent. Compare prices to other platforms.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a company that consists of smaller companies being merged. So there are many systems that need to be integrated. Neuron ESB has proven efficient and nice to work with as a .NET developer.
Other platforms were considered before starting up but we are very happy with the Neuron ESB choice.
Integrations have been fast to get from idea to running solution.
We have not really had any operations problems caused by Neuron ESB.

  ### 31. Neuron ESB a powerful product with a great support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastien H. | Professeur 3d, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Neuron ESB has the distinction of being very easy to integrate. The development environment used is indeed very similar to that of Microsoft (Visual Studio). This allows our developers to not feel lost when integrating Neuron ESB. The installation and configuration is when it is very intuitive. In addition to being easy to use, ESB neuron simplifies messaging and facilitates the rapid integration of applications. There is also an acceleration of the adoption of a service-oriented architecture. Neuron ESB has the ability to collect and read some or all of the messages on the bus.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

The interface could be improved. It is certainly understandable and simple but it is a little too basic ... The documentation used to inform about the new features present is not very well organized, I mean that some features are not detailed and make understanding and the implementation of these a bit more complicated.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Get the 30-day trial version, and try to do something with this one, explore it. The software is really very powerful! Give it a chance and take the time to test each of its features. You will not be disappointed

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By developing a new interface, we got closer to our customers and allowed a better exchange with them. The main advantage we see is that thanks to our basic interface we have evolved with users to be closer to them. We have also gained a lot of speed and now we have the possibility to solve the integration problems that we encountered in the past

  ### 32. The indisputable best integration platform for .NET

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Ability to track, marshal and play-back any/all messages on the bus. The UI is also quite good as well!

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

Some of the adapters are very light on features.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Be sure an ESB is required and that you understand how bus architecture works. I wouldnt use this for simple integrations, it would be overkill.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating a legacy ecommerce platform with Netsuite accounting. This project has been successfully completed for its first phase. Would not have been possible without Neuron.

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Neuron ESB has fast performance. The control of the system makes it easy to manage. This has often been a struggle in the past with other integration products. Extremely easy to intergrate with other systems. We have yet to face an API or system where we could not integrate using Neuron

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

save test contexts within the process test feature is a common negative of this prgoram

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Try it and use the program to build off of previous research.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create comparisons with modern work and abstracting parallel from the information inputed.

  ### 36. moved from pivotal tracker and couldn't be happier!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

We were using pivotal tracker previously at my company and it was great but we needed a change that would be more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

The display is a bit old school and should be more user friendly especially now that everything is, but it still does the job it was made for.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Most efficient but can be more user friendly.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

workflow and reporting, prior there was no real solution that was as good

  ### 37. good smooth Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

its functionality and flexibility to mix in with all kinds of software, existing software which eases the workload on a single system.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

tech knowledge and coding knowledge required to apply this in the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

a cheap good alternative to many integration services.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

System integration with products sold by Microsoft, SQL and other sensitive systems which need a careful and a good base for smooth working of the system after integration.

  ### 38. Neuron ESB fairly easy to learn and meets our requirement in terms of our integration project.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

- I like the fact that it's .NET based, so it was fairly easy to learn.
- I like the publish and subscribe model.
- very easy to setup a business process

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

The user interface is not intuitive enough and there's too much jumping around the application for a simple setup. I wish the application could have some sort of wizard to walk you through a simple setup.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Neuron meets our requirement for our integration project

  ### 39. Technically competent and streamlining integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

The amount or lack of effort in setting it up to do persisted message queuing. Often you have to manually setup each underlying protocol and technology, with Neuron, this is all built-in.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

Highly technical and requires in-depth knowledge of programming practises.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Training is of utmost importance.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi-layered integration and brokering.

Benefits:
Time to resolution.

My favorite aspect of Neuron ESB is its usability and versatility.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

There is not anything that I really do not enjoy about Neuron ESB.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Neuron ESB has helped me to optimize my business as I needed it.

  ### 41. An Outstanding ESB for the Windows Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rod K. | CTO, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2017

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Neuron ESB is an extremely robust ESB engine. It supports all of the most important core ESB vernacular and concepts - publish-subscribe, scatter-gather, and a wide variety of transports, including any major queue transport, and every variety of synchronous transport you might need.

But the benefits rise to new levels. The development environment is really a very close facsimile of the Microsoft Visual Studio environment. This means that if you're a .NET shop, your developers are going to be productive and everything will be familiar.

Unlike the other-integration-engine-on-Win32-which-shall-go-unnamed, Neuron is intuitive to setup and configure. I was up and running later the same day I installed the trial. And I don't mean with a trivial implementation - I was up and running forwarding calls into an external service.

Extending Neuron is a wide open playground - the options are vast. You've got Processes, which are literally dynamically compiled C# program-lets which allow you to inject classes, or you can even write your own glue code in regular old .NET assemblies. For the heavy-weight situation where you need to write a full fledged actor in the ESB backplane, you've got Adapters - arguably one of the most powerful features of Neuron, and probably one of the least used.

Overall, Neuron isn't a Cadillac Usually when we say that we mean that there might be some bloat and certainly some "poor gas mileage". Neuron is more like a top end Porsche. It's not a Maserati, but it's definitely better than almost all other high performance vehicles and yet the price is within reach. It's a great balance of features for the price.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

I feel like Neuron could do a little more in terms of real-time monitoring. Realizing that this is ultimately not a core feature, still this would be the one feature I would like to see, and I think if Neuron had real-time monitoring, it would essentially but a perfect product.

Shadow copying would also be a great feature. When you deploy a build of an external assembly, you're going to have to shutdown the Neuron Explorer and any local development instance of the ESB Service itself. That becomes slightly annoying during development and unit testing. This then causes you to want to factor you solution as in-process black box code which you test in an external test harness, thereby reducing the number of restart cycles with the ESB and its compliment of tools.

Finally, the ability to save test contexts within the process test feature. Due to the restart issue, you'll end up having to keep flat files of input messages lying about (not a bad idea anyway) and you'll end up hand keying input arguments to simulate a request many times over. AutoSaving the context would be even better.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Get a trial and build something with it. That's huge, and give it a chance. Like any new product it may take a day or two to get used to the semantics of it. But it is easy to use and it will surpirse you rapidly with the ease of use and fluidity with which you can make real integration effects come to life.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our number one objective is decoupling and parallelization. That is, we wanted control over external vendors such that we could bring online better versions of existing services, try them out, and then run them in parallel for a period of time on the road to phasing out the original.

We also wanted monitoring, resiliency and as much monitoring as we could possibly get.

The main benefit we have gained is transparent pub-sub, and a development platform for routing and manipulating service payloads. The familiarity of the environment to our extremely .NET oriented shop will also pay dividends in years to come.

  ### 42. Great tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Capital Markets | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Easy to user, great interface for users that may not have as much experience with this area

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

Very expensive and limited range of capabilities

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Great tool, slightly pricey

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help automate and complete work

  ### 43. Neuron an extremely versatile ESB

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William S. | Integration Architect, Non-Profit Organization Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2017

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Neuron's flexibility allows us to choose whether to create web services, messaging middleware or direct integrations depending upon the business need. It can be used for REST services, SOAP services, Request/Reply, Pub-Sub, Composite Services, Orchestrations and Workflow, file-based integrations, SFTP integrations, and the list goes on.

The second thing I like best is the openness of the development team to suggestions for improvement. We have asked for changes many times and had the product team be very quick to incorporate those requested changes into the product upgrade schedule. They have also been quick to resolve any defects we have found in our testing.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

There are some areas for improvement in the areas of CI/CD. Having multiple teams work on the code and configuration at once can present some challenges. We are considering resolving this by partitioning the solution appropriately for various teams.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Neuron has allowed us to deploy a single platform for hosting SOAP and REST external services and other internal integrations. This allowed us to take big strides toward a loosely-coupled architecture, supporting forward movement for our international partners and migration away from our legacy systems.

  ### 44. Easy to use and powerful integration platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabrizio M. | Enterprise Integration Specialist, Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Neuron is very easy to use compared to other big players on the market. Integration can be developed easily and do net require extensive training.
The support is great, the Neuron team was always able to provide a quick and effective answer to our doubts; any fix or feature we requested has been released within few days.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

The documentation is certainly something that can be improved; not every new feature has been documented or sometimes new features have been documented separately and that make it a bit difficould to find the information needed

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Define a scope: not everything can be implemented in Neuron, it's not a ETL platform.
Define a framework, a common structure to use when implementing a service. Number of artifacts (service, publisher and subscribers) can grow very fast, when a naming conventions or development guidelines are in place the solution is much more easier to maintain.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Over the year systems have been integrated in many different ways and the IT landscape has become quite complex and difficult to maintain. We are using Neuron to simplify our IT landscape, and gaining control on what's going on, which data are exposed and to which system with the advantage of gathering performance data on the services, as well as centrailize logging and error handling.
We are currently building a layer of generic and reusable services to try to abstract the functionalities exposed by our legacy ERP system. Neuron is essential for its ability to implement, deploy and expose Web and REST services very fast, simplifying to third parties and "modern" application the access to company's data.

  ### 45. Neuron ESB, good product with outstanding support.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew N. | Technical Architect / Team Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Neuron Explorer has a nice GUI. Any problems we've encountered are responded to immediately by the Neuron Support team. For the most part it does what we need it to without the need to monitor it.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

It can be awkward to gain access to reports or use Neuron Explorer remotely (i.e. not from the server it's installed on), but this depends on your configuration. We encountered a few reliability issues, most of which were promptly fixed by the Neuron development team.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Do you really need a fully-fledged Enterprise Service Bus? Or will you end up just using a small part of the product?

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are synchronizing customer and account data between 2 major systems and 3 minor ones.

  ### 46. Great Experience, but Documentation Poor.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas M. | Systems Integration Manager / Team Lead, Pharmaceuticals, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

I love the ease of use, business and workflow editors, operation speed / resource use, and robustness.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

I think the development documentation is very weak, and as such a lot of questions / experimentation must be done when new techniques / patterns are required. It seems like a more cohesive documentation package, focus on solving real problems would go a long way towards solving this.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We develop interfaces between customer on premise business systems and our internal software product. The primary benefit that we see is that, given a good base design, we are able to extend / enhance the base interface on a customer basis, and have the operational robustness / ease of use that a vendor supplied product affords.

  ### 47. Implemented Neuron ESB as central integration platform / ESB at several customers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian Høegh S. | Partner / Principal Integration Consultant, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2017

**What do you like best about Peregrine Connect?**

Performance: Neuron ESB is very lightweight and has great performance. Additionaly you have very granular control over Quality Of Service. This has often been a struggle in the past with other integration products.
Extensive adapter framework: We have yet to face an API or system where we could not integrate using Neuron
Easy onboarding: Existing .Net developers can quickly start developing on the platform
Easy of development: Deployment is quick (hit save) and there is good support for debugging pipelines or testing using the built-in test clients
Excellent customer support: Neudesic have added several of our requested features to the product and support is quick to answer.

**What do you dislike about Peregrine Connect?**

Documentation: It could be more elaborate. When you get in to the tiny details you often you have to find relevant info in blog posts or as part of the samples library.

**Recommendations to others considering Peregrine Connect:**

Before evaluating any products, start by defining your requirements and most likely main integration needs (request/response, async, workflows, REST, SOAP, Security etc.)
If Neuron seems to fit these requirements, then try a POC with the most common scenarios. A great start is to have a look at the built-in samples.

**What problems is Peregrine Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating business processes: Usually spanning multiple systems in order to limit manual work and minimize errors.
Connecting backend systems: Using adapters, so that data is available to more applications and data quality is improved.
Building a central service infrastructure: To give a central view and control over Web- and REST services and have a common platform for logging, error handling, access control etc.
