Pepperdata - great for cluster optimization, decent for app level monitoring **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Roshan A. | Engineering Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2021 **What do you like best about Pepperdata Capacity Optimizer?** Pepperdata's Capacity optimizer is very effective in packing containers onto nodes, thereby reducing the cost of the underlying compute. **What do you dislike about Pepperdata Capacity Optimizer?** It's not easy to calculate the value that you gain form having Pepperdata, which makes it tough to justify the cost of Pepperdata to upper management **What problems is Pepperdata Capacity Optimizer solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our main problem was troubleshooting and tuning Spark jobs which we previously had very little visibility on. With Pepperdata, we certainly do get a much better picture of the cluster, nodes and individual jobs.
