I enjoy that it is able to cross so many different areas of one educational institution. We use it currently for finance and accounts payable, but are looking at moving towards implementing the Human Resources aspect, which would make life so much easier when verifying employees. It is extremely hard to learn and is not an intuitive interface. Most employees here at the university have needed several months of intense training and a lot of hands-on examples before they can actually grasp how the program works. It would help if the visuals were more graphic and friendly. I know it sounds silly, but light colors and vague buttons like the little gray drop-down arrow really do make it difficult when trying to explain to someone how to go through the steps of completing a requisition, for instance. I like that Oracle PeopleSoft allows consumers to be able to access their human resources account, which allows them to keep track of their hours, pay stubs, tax information, and other human resource needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Before a recent software update, I could only open up myHR (on the Oracle Peoplesoft platform) using Internet Explorer. Now, the software is compatible with all web browsers. For the two years before the software update, using the program was inconvenient when trying to assess the site using a computer without Internet Explorer. Also, the recent update makes assessing myHR on mobile devices easier, than they were prior to the update. Although the program is customizable, I wish there were customizations that individual users could make. For example, I use different facets of the program than one of my co-workers, it would be nice to be able to hide those screen options since I don't use them. I also wish that the program was more intuitive when working in the financial side, although I went through the training, I still need to rely on my training guides.
