Requests for a real human response were met only with AI replies, and threats to escalate the matter were ignored. Even after publicly reaching out via Twitter (X) and privately through Facebook, I received no response — no comments, no messages, absolutely no way to reach anyone at the company. I'm writing this review to warn others: do not expect any meaningful support or accountability from PeoplePerHour. Firstly the platform has a huge potential to be the number 1 among its competitors but I feel like they are "Satisfied" with the current platform. They don't want to improve. They can simply take a look at its competitors like Upwork and see how many features they are providing like the desktop app to track time, and a separate mobile app for clients and freelancers. The worst thing about the PPH is its clearing period. They implemented this new clearing period in 2020 I think. They assume that most of their freelancers are earning around £1000 per month, which is a lot if you are not a UK native. After completing every project I need to wait at least 14 days before I can withdraw it and then again PayPal takes an additional 2 to 3 days to transfer it to my bank account. So for example, if the client pays my invoice today be it £10 or £500 (25/07/2023), I will receive the money in my bank account on or around 11/08/2023. The UX is simple and easy to navigate, and there are a good number of options for finding jobs and selling your work. Payment is incredibly fast, and I can have it in my PayPal account the same day. **What do you dislike about PeoplePerHour.com?** They started taking 20% of my earnings, which was a massive blow. It used to be a lot lower, and that's what kept it apart from the other platforms that were charging insane fees. They also seem to protect bad buyers more than freelancers. Your money is generally protected and they are quite good at locking down on buyers that are trying to pay people what I call slave labour rates.
