"Long time admin for Penta ERP"

What do you like best?

Penta has a great deal of flexibility and options for managing your Projects, service work orders, payroll, accounting and much more in the same platform. They also provide a great deal of reporting to manage each of them. There is also a dashboard type reporting site that can provide data analytics for a comprehensive view.

What do you dislike?

The user interface for the GUI is not very intuitive and the look and feel could stand to be upgraded. The error handling also could be improved. There are times when an error will halt other processes and doesn't allow the user to resolve and often needs support to clear. I think it could be better if there was an auto reversal or some way to manage routine errors.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I inherited the application, but it currently serves as the accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, service work orders, maintenance contracts and job management for our company. It is highly stable and their support is knowledgeable.

"Niche Product "

What do you like best?

Easy to learn to use, relatively fast data return. Great for job costing.

What do you dislike?

Could be more user-friendly in terms of delivering data in more understandable and easy to dissect ways. Hard to export data into other programs in a clean format. Occasionally multiple reports need to be run to create a whole picture of the data you need.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Works well for union based businesses.
