I work in the apparel business and it's critical to have a team of people who can execute t-shirt designs quickly to keep up with the demand for in-season and holiday-specific designs. What do you like best about Penji?

We approached Penji to assist in the rebuild of our website, seeking a modern, easy to navigate website that stood out against a competitive market. We wanted a website that was clear and informative of our business objectives and engaging to our visitors while being built on a user-friendly platform. Within several weeks, our new website was fully designed. We continue to hear positive feedback on the usability, flow, and look on the site both from existing and potential customers and candidates. Chris and the entire team were easy to communicate with and provided us frequent and very honest feedback – something that was very important to us! Epic Service! I'll be honest, initially, I had my reservations, had my doubts if they can be better than actually hiring a person for the same rate, I also had the thoughts I could do it myself. But you know what, all these thoughts and doubts were crushed in just a few weeks. I was pleased with how much time I was saving, and also the options/variations I was getting. One-stop center for all my design needs, I could interact freely and speak my mind without the worry, friendly, and a team that wants to do better, you get what you want and better!! What problems is Penji solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were looking for a design agency to guide us through a redesign of our website as well as an identity rebranding and we were specifically looking for a team we could partner with on an ongoing basis. After speaking to multiple agencies and reviewing Penji's portfolio it was clear they were a great fit for us. Their design process and hands on mentality were important factors for us making this decision. We went through a series of phases including concept, reference and design. We had lots of long and detailed conversations with Penji to ensure they felt comfortable with how our business operates as it is quite a niche industry. Once they were happy that they understood the ins and outs of our business they provided us with a concept metaphor we could use to portray our rebrand and for our new website. We had one main point of contact, Gab, our project manager who acted as the bridge between us and the designers. We did have a number of designers also working on our project. Gab was absolutely fantastic! We could not have asked for a better team lead for our project. Communication was really open and she was always available to help answer questions and fulfil requests. Our company struggles with marketing and messaging. We invented a product and people came to us which made marketing less of a priority because we were the only solution. As competitors began to enter our market, we realized that competing on features and technology was not working. I was brought in to help with positioning, messaging, and upgrading how we went to market. When I came in, we had just acquired a few different companies and they were having a hard time stitching the story together of who their company had become and where they were going as a business. I started with a positioning exercise that led me to contact Penji to help with defining our main unified branding that we could communicate internally and externally based on who we were targeting.They’re wicked smart and they have a really great deep level of exploration on our projects.
