I use Pendo for creating client in-app training, and I really like its simplicity. One of the best aspects is the ease of use for customers; they don’t need to leave the app to find necessary information. I value the Resource Center feature, which is particularly useful.

I appreciate Pendo's ability to provide metrics that were previously unknown, which helps me identify potential problem areas. I like its ease of use and that the tagging is retroactive once integrated. Additionally, integrating the mobile SDK into the app was fairly simple.

I really like that Pendo gives users easy access to our content directly in the app and provides valuable user insights. I'm also very excited to try their suite of new available tools that can help us drill down even better into customer insights. The in-app resource center is another aspect I find very useful.

I use Pendo for better analytics and it gives me good predictions, guides, and dashboards. I like the guides because they help with new merchant signup and first login. I find the results from Pendo to be good. The initial setup was pretty easy for me too, and I rated my likelihood to recommend Pendo a 10 out of 10.

I use Pendo to see how clients are using the application and new features, which helps in a lot of ways. I really like the UI and how simple it is to do stuff within it. It's not a complex software, and it's very user-friendly.

Tagging can be a little bit tricky, and things change within the solution. You have to do retags.

**What do you like best about Pendo?**

Pendo used to be a leader in the space so has been around for a while and has (what I think) is a decent installed base and supporting resources.  In app messaging/surveys are good.

**What do you dislike about Pendo?**

While certain capabilities/functionality may be there, the presentation/interface is old (think Salesforce, even Lightning).   Pendo is not simple to set up and configure; dedicated resources are needed to setup/manage.  

Most importantly, Pendo is not a great solution for a company (e.g. like a Series A) that is rapidly evolving and requires flexibility.  Their pricing/licensing model is inflexible and old school.  E.g. as of this writing when you go to their pricing page you get a "request pricing" button instead actual information.  Similarly, when my company wanted to transition off Pendo and asked for a 1-2 months extra time to facilitate, I was told that they only do 1 year contracts.  Only after repeated escalations was I begrudgingly given option for a 3 month term.

**What problems is Pendo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was our main analytics platform.  It was good 3 years ago but doesn't meet the needs of a modern, rapidly evolving software company.

I use Pendo for tracking user feedback. It helps me get feedback at scale and decide which users to reach out to. I really appreciate that the UX/UI is very intuitive. Pendo Listen is particularly valuable because it helps me get user feedback quickly and aggregate metrics at scale.

Tagging is hard, both finding existing tags and creating new ones.

**What do you like best about Pendo?**

I find Pendo's features for creating onboarding guides useful when launching new features. The tool is helpful for setting up polls or survey guides to gather user feedback and recruit participants for product discovery, which is valuable in enhancing user engagement and understanding customer needs. Additionally, I sometimes use it for quick front-end data tracking tasks for simple activities like button clicks and page visits, which aids in monitoring basic interactions within the application.

**What do you dislike about Pendo?**

I find Pendo's analytics and reporting capabilities very lacking. It is frustrating that it often boils down to just a few standard reports, which are clunky and inflexible to set up. I don't feel like I'm generating any deep insights with Pendo, the analytics seem overly shallow, no comparison to best-in-class tools like Amplitude. Also, setting up the Pendo Visual designer for guides is quite buggy, and it's a constant struggle to get basic work done. Product innovation is slow and the tool is too expensive for what it solves for us. We will switch to Amplitude now, where we get way more value for our money.

I use Pendo for creating guides, onboarding, and simple data tracking, like button clicks, but its analytics and reporting are shallow and inflexible, limiting deeper insights.

I appreciate Pendo's ability to provide complete visibility over our user interactions with the fintech products we offer. The data analytics feature allows us to track active user counts and customer intent journeys, giving us insights into funnel conversions and areas for improvement. The straightforward setup process and easy-to-understand documentation made the initial implementation seamless. I also value the paths and workflows feature that offers insight into user navigation, helping us identify if users are taking the happiest paths. This visibility supports us in making well-informed, strategic decisions.

**What do you dislike about Pendo?**

I find Pendo to be quite pricey compared to its competitors, which makes me reconsider repurchasing without discounts or updated pricing. The basic capabilities offered by Pendo do not seem to justify the cost of the plan I am on. For example, features like heat maps and session replay are not included in the basic plan, whereas competitors offer these capabilities for free or at a lower price. It's challenging to defend Pendo's pricing when similar features are available more affordably elsewhere. Additionally, there is a learning curve when first using Pendo, which can be a bit overwhelming for newcomers.

Pendo provides complete visibility into customer interactions, revealing where users drop off and why. It helps solve UI issues and enables our team to make strategic, data-driven decisions. The setup was straightforward, aiding in understanding funnel conversions effectively.

Pendo reveals and unmasks all the “unknowns.” It provides real insight into what my users are actually doing in so many different ways. I can see clear patterns and behaviors, and it helps me understand how people are using the product. It also creates another communication channel, which is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Pendo?**

Tagging! But that isn’t Pendo’s fault. Pendo says it is low or no code, but dynamic elements are heavily used these days and our platforms rely on them - and they are not good in Pendo.

This could be me, but i would like to see a pendo dashboard with my most recently looked at pages/features, instead of going into each section myself. I we have the quick links access on the left nav, but i would prefer a landing page.

Certain widgets in dashboards don't update equally and have filters apply differently. Some can be edited directly in the widget, some you need to permanently edit the report, some will update by simply updating dashboard filters. I constantly have to do all three.
