I analyze results within Pendo frequently, at least a few times a week, and monitor the responses from our customers via NPS and an in-product survey. Pendo provides a comprehensive view of user behavior and feedback, making it easy to understand how customers interact with our product and what they value most. Its analytics allow us to pinpoint trends, prioritize high-impact features, and identify areas for improvement with data-driven clarity. The feedback tool is especially helpful for capturing user input in real time, giving us a direct line to customer needs and helping to prioritize feature development. With Pendo, we can centralize insights across user segments, enabling a more targeted and effective approach to improving customer experience.
Customer support at Pendo has been great, with our team receiving weekly workshops on data analysis and responsive support from our representative when a question comes up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One downside is the challenge with survey data extraction—currently, Pendo’s export options can be limited, making it difficult to retrieve survey responses in a format suitable for detailed external analysis. Integration of API keys for our data extraction process within Pendo has not been implemented, however, I think this would help to improve the experience. Additionally, Pendo doesn’t capture metadata at the precise moment a survey is taken, which can lead to inconsistencies in tracking user context and make it harder to align feedback with specific behaviors or segments.
Another drawback is the lack of customization within individual NPS and guide reporting columns, restricting our ability to tailor reports to specific needs or group insights in meaningful ways.
Additionally, implementing tags is very manual and has been an extensive process for our team to complete. If tagless data collection or automated tagging was enabled, this would save so much time. These limitations can require additional manual work to fill in gaps, reducing the overall efficiency of Pendo’s reporting capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pendo is a great tool to get your app or web product up-to-speed with real-time analytics. It's great for your daily at-a-glance look to view a dashboard and see how your product is performing, and great if you want to spend more time in the product discovering Pendo's other internal products (Orchestrate, Guides, and more).
It's fairly easy to use once things are up and running. Pendo is a great product, and their technical account managers/customer support are the best I've ever worked with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Getting used to using Pendo has a bit of a learning curve, but it does pay off. Implementing Pendo all over your site (tagging pages, creating track events, creating dashboards) also can be slow at first, but Pendo as a company and their technical account managers/customer support helps us along the way with every single question we have. As a technical product, things can be tough to understand at first, but that is the only obstacle I'm facing currently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pendo makes it easy for us to track user actions in detail; we can also audit sites to find pages without tags or with obvious problems; and it uses all the data retrieved from these tags to improve site speed. Constant updates completely improve our user experience and the interface is intuitive. The customer service is highly rated and very responsive. We have been able to improve site performance metrics, search engine traffic, and content quality by using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It was a little difficult for us because setting up external reports is complex and requires specific processes. However, with the help of technical support, which is very attentive and prompt, we were able to figure it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great for event-based tracking that is compliant with the required privacy laws AND is a handy in-app messaging (guide) tool that helps to launch quick surveys and onboarding.
Before starting to use Pedno, we had demo with quite a few Pendo competitors (like Heap, Hotjar, Amplitude, PostHog etc.), the reason we chose Pendo was that it seemed easy to use, and more importantly compliant with the required privacy laws in our industry (example: PII). We use Pendo heavily for guides as well, and we have found the quality of the guides could be improved (when we compare them with other in-app messaging tools). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use of configuration and navigation. Within minimal tutorial review, I was able to set up guides, review metrics and create reports. The flexibility in how, where, and when guides can be deployed is powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sharing a guide with a user without deploying and turning it on makes it difficult to share something in draft. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've had the pleasure of getting to know and use Pendo, and I must say it's a fantastic tool for capturing telemetry within applications or websites. Pendo stands out for its ability to provide deep insights into user behavior, making it an invaluable resource for understanding how users interact with our software.
One of Pendo’s strengths is its accessibility. Despite a slight learning curve, especially when setting up the initial configurations, the tool is remarkably user-friendly, even for those without a development background. Once the Pendo snippet is integrated into your platform, you begin collecting data immediately, regardless of when you get to asking questions about the data. It's tehre when you're ready.
Although we haven't yet explored some of Pendo's more sophisticated features, such as the "Listen" or playback functionality, we’ve found the existing capabilities more than sufficient. Setting up funnels, for instance, has enabled us to determine whether users are navigating to the right places and completing the right actions within our software.
One feature I particularly appreciate is the ease with which you can create and brand guides. The process of setting up a guide is straightforward, and the ability to test it in a sandbox environment ensures that everything functions as intended before going live. This feature has provided us with valuable visibility into the areas of our tool that users engage with the most, allowing us to move beyond guesswork and make data-driven decisions.
I also had the opportunity to attend Pendomonium, Pendo’s flagship event, and it was an outstanding experience. The event was not only passionate and motivating but also a lot of fun. The vibrant atmosphere and the wealth of knowledge shared by the Pendo team were truly inspiring Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It take a little bit of trial and error to use well. The knowledge base is pretty good, but as in all tools can be outdated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm really enjoying Pendo as a user (Project Manager) who captures feedback from customers for our Product team to put into their roadmap.
It's easy to use, I use it multiple times in my working week to log feedback, track the progress of requests and see what my colleagues and clients have been searching for.
I can't comment on how easy it was to implement or integrate with, but we've used some of their functionality in our SaaS platform and it looks great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes there's a few too many clicks, but this could be my lack of understanding (or training, as I've just been going in and finding my own way around), but there's a Support team, AI help bot and help centre there if I actually used it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that Pendo is fairly easy to use yet is so powerful. We started a bit slow our first year, but really ramped up in the 2 years following and use it throughout our platform.
I especially like the ability to send NPS polls to users based on behaviors and send targeted communications. Team is also great at supporting clients -- very hands-on and quick. Recently went through Pendo's incubator program with their team and loved every session! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be hard to get a new user up and running in Pendo. It's a heavier lift.
Sometimes tagging can be a bit tedious or tough, but this may be in large part to how our own platform is being built. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Pendo Team really cares about your success. I've been working with them for about 3 years and they've helpled me every step of the way in getting Pendo incorporated into several applications. When ever I have a roadblock, their team is there to help us through it or find other solutions. They listen to our feedback and check in regularly to see how they can better serve us and provide more value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there was a chatbot option and better stying tools out of the box but they've built a solid platform that anyone can use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pendo provides an additional troubleshooting avenue to observe product behavior when users cannot pinpoint or specifically verbalize the issue they are encountering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to save specific views, rather than resetting the filters at each login would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
