What do you like best?

The UI and layout is very user friendly once you get up and running. As a PM Im able to track actions and clicks I want without the need for engineering in most cases. What do you like best?

It is an effective tool to analyze product progress and analyze, it also allows you to work directly on the website, it is a very easy to use tool and shows great results, it also has the ability to share critical information with our customers on the product, it also offers good analysis and administration capabilities and pages that provide different types of data. What do you like best?

It is a tool that offers good analysis capabilities, it also provides different types of data, it also provides us with an excellent analysis on how customers use our platform, the statistics are very easy to read, it is very intuitive since its graphical user interface is Very simple, it also offers excellent templates and labels to evaluate historical analysis, offers the possibility of carrying out completely personalized and segmented customer surveys, providing us with an incredible analysis. What do you like best?

What do you like best?

Pendo has a great platform that allows us to easily create guides and get our messages infront of our customers. We are able to utilize the resource center to keep customers up to date on whats happening with our product and education offerings. We are utilizing Pendo to capture the voice of the customer. Since implementing Pendo we have launched an NPS program and are able to identify and work on problem areas in our program all driven by the VoC.

What do you like best?

Pendo is incredibly intuitive and easy to use both with in-app guidance for our users and with internal analytics. We're finding insights to our product that we've never had before, and we don't need any engineering to help us do it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Our software product is pretty robust; we are multi-app, multi-purpose and we have a lot of crossover between apps. Pendo is working on having more multi-app features (such as a Resource Center badge on multiple pages, but not sitewide) but currently we're finding that some pieces of Pendo are limiting in this regard. Pendo is one of the best platforms dedicated to the product experience, which can offer customers who are registered to these facilities, with specific characteristics that these operators who browse this interface could be interested in immensely, including that also promotes data on how to use a certain registered product, guaranteeing a fairly high percentage of the effectiveness of said sale, emphasizing that it also determines complete tutorials about its functional qualities, and multiple characters of great interest to the digital public. What do you like best?

It provides real quick insights to product usage and adoption. Pendo is quite an easy to use software with a pretty intuitive, user-friendly interface. It focuses on the right metrics and provides accurate analytics. Creating guides for potential customers is easy and it actually helps to attract the audience as well. Communication with customers has been made easier, which is a key reason why it is considered over other similar applications. The new Facebook module is also working great. Pendo, without any doubt, is a great tool. However, there are a few things that will be good to see either fixed or replaced. It can also use a few changes and feature updates. As a user experience platform, Pendo is doing a good job. It has brought all the important features at the fingertips of the user. However, to use all the features to its full potential, it is important for the application to flexible and easy to use, some improvisation will be a great inclusion indeed. What do you like best?

Prior to using Pendo, we had very little insight into what our customers were doing within our applications. We also had no great way of notifying them about upcoming releases, new features or train them on anything within our application. Since using Pendo, we've been able to make informed decisions about what parts of our app are most utilized and then bump that up against the Feedback module to address customer feedback requests. Although Pendo Feedback has provided us with a mechanism for gathering customer requests, there are quite a few features that just aren't there yet. This wouldn't stop me from using the tool because it's the best option out there for centralizing feedback about our applications, but I think there is definite room for improvement. Problem: Informing our customers of new features or training them on existing ones

Solution: Pendo Insights and Guidance allows us to communicate changes within our application quickly and efficiently through the use of guides.

Problem: Difficulty educating our users on capabilities of our applications

Solution: With in-app guidance and our Zendesk knowledge base integration, we are able to easily update our users on new capabilities within the application and direct them to more information with knowledge base articles. We can very quickly get something to thousands of users in less time than it takes to deliver a pizza.

Problem: Analyzing our customer's utilization of our app was basically impossible with the high level analytics we gained from Google.

Solution: With Insights and Guidance, we are able to easily monitor how our customers are interacting with our applications so that we can understand what features are being utilized. This has been tremendously valuable in assisting us with prioritization of new development for features.

Problem: Obtaining feedback from our customer's was all over the place and was getting lost in the shuffle.

Solution: With Pendo Feedback, we are able to centralize all customer's requests and close the feedback loop that has traditionally been challenging. What do you like best?

Tracking and tagging. Once Pendo is enabled on an instance it tracks all activity. We don't need to worry about identifying events on beforehand, we can just tag what we need when we need it.

Pendo helps us greatly in reaching out to our users. We can now announce quarterly upgrades, guide users through our new features and increase our adoption.

What do you dislike?

Although the Pendo team has done their best, the performance of the platform is still a bit worrying. Working with the reports becomes a bit harder when you have to wait for the data being processed.

Would like to see more flexibility in generating reports based upon the usage data. Grouping the data in various ways is very important. I would also love ways to create a single report that combines various metrics and KPI's. Because I'm working on various features, I would like to have a report that shows me the results for these different features at once. Now I have to create multiple reports and switch between them.

An integration where I can show the data of Pendo without having to create screenshot. For instance when I mention the numbers on a Confluence page or a Google docs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

We've started with Pendo when they only had half of the capabilities as it have today. They've evolved in exactly the direction they've promised and that I expected them to. They're now a strong platform that allows you to start small and gradually grow. You don't need to fully understand and define everything you want to measure and track before implementing Pendo. Just the fact that you need to track the usage of your site/platform/software is sufficient. Pendo lets you grow with your needs. What do you like best?

Pendo was a breeze to set up to receive telemetry from our app. The UX is clean and appealing, and it's easy for people who are not engineer-level technical to get the insights they're looking for. The in-app feature tagging and heatmaps are almost magic, incredibly valuable and intuitive. I wish there was the capability to create more dashboard-like pages and custom reports. That would really unlock the power of the data that Pendo gathers. What do you like best?

Pendo works retroactively - once the tracking code is installed, all clicks are tracked, even if you haven't figured out where you need tracking.

Pendo is also really great when it comes to segmenting - you can segment in many different ways.

Pendo also makes it easy to get started - it's easy to create the tracking code and get it installed. Much simpler than some other systems that we have looked at and worked with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Pendo could use more customization with regard to reporting options. We've found that we'd like to be able to get reports in other formats, or customize the layout more than Pendo allows for.

We've also had mixed success with some of the funnel tracking - it hasn't been the easiest for us to set up and use.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Consider whether the out-of-the-box reports will give you everything you need. Also think about other systems that you might already be using to capture this kind of data - does Pendo replace those systems or work along side them?

What granularity of data of things like browser and system details do you need about your customers? We found that Pendo has less detail than say, Google Analytics.

Another big thing to consider is the cost of setting up an alternative system - we looked into building something that would give us similar functionality and it was going to be much more expensive to build on our own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

It has a great capacity to tag pages and features without the need to code custom events, it is a solid and complete tool that is easy to use and understand, since it does not require entering into complex coding to use it. It allows to easily track who has visited the site and to monitor it easily, it also offers an option to create pages and guides with a very complete NPS system. What do you like best?

Ease of use, account rep is extremely helpful. I use it for NPS primarily. I love being able to see the customer feedback in one easy to use dashboard. I also love Pendo for the in-app pop ups and Resource Center that we have created inside of our own product. This has helped us to increase product adoption, and I know our customers love it! It was a little tricky to navigate at first, but with help with our account rep I am in a much better place now. There is nothing in particular that I am unhappy with at this time! I would say the only thing I dislike is the fact that I probably am not taking advantage of all of the features inside of Pendo. The in-depth analytics are available for us to review overall product usage as well as more specific feature usage on our web apps. Visitor and Account-level data help us evaluate and be alerts on high-risk users as well as expansion opportunities.

I wish that analytics on Guides were automatically generated for any buttons added to guides.

Currently, we have to work-around that by tagging the buttons as individual features. This still does not allow us to always know the clicks/interactions with guides because we have to attach the feature to the guide every time we load it up. It would be fantastic if Pendo Guides automatically tracked clicks on any buttons from those guides and presented us with those metrics straight from the Guide's analytics page. What do you like best?

As a product experience platform Pendo is great. It simply bridges the gap between the product developing team and the users. Quite user friendly and tracks and delivers accurate metrics. Customization of the platform is easy. Therefore, it becomes easy to create product guides. Creating content with Pendo is quite easy and even the audience or potential buyers like what they see or how they see it, for that matter. The updates keep making the platform better, which is a plus point. The data encryption policy is great to make sure that the information put on the platform is safe and secured. What do you like best?

The analytics are invaluable to our product team. Tracking usage, especially with newly released features, helps us make intentional decisions. The Guides along with the Resource Center has saved our tiny Helpdesk team hours of email and phone communication. What do you dislike?

I am the main Pendo admin, I do not have a background in technology at all. I can do 90% of my work in Pendo without developer support (which I LOVE). Occasionally I need assistance with tagging features and targets for guides so I need to ask our developers for help with that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pendo staff go above and beyond to make sure you are successful. That is not common among their competitors, sadly. For those that are not technically trained, Pendo is the only choice for ease of use without developer assistance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We had zero usage data before Pendo. Decisions were made based on our best guesses of what our users liked, didn't like, used or didn't use. Now we can make highly informed decisions. We also do a lot of our announcements and communication in Pendo, this has saved us many emails and significant time in sending these communications. Using the Resource Center has freed up our Helpdesk staff to truly spend more time on bugs and replications and less on answering user questions. Our member success team has been able to use Pendo to assist with their communications with our members, looking for those low usage red flags has been excellent for our retention efforts. What do you like best?

The product is very easy to use for both creating content and using their analytical tools. If there is ever an issue, I have high confidence in their customer support being able to help. They are incredibly responsive to provide help, find solutions, or take ideas to their own product teams to improve the product. What do you dislike?

Sometimes their online resources are not fleshed out as much as I expected, and there are more opportunities for improving reporting capabilities and ability to save and share reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able to better directly communicate with our users in a custom way based on their account, and also use the data analytics to help direct product decisions and priorities. So far we have been able to positively influence call volumes, increase engagement in surveys and webinar attendance, and help increase feature adoption when we schedule Pendo guides with product releases. What do you like best?

Ability to tag pages and features without the need to code custom events.

There's no need for tracking and measurement user stories with each project, although if you want to implement custom events this becomes necessary.

Customer support is also great - you always get prompt proactive answers to question, and 1st year customer onboarding has been very effective.

Ability to run in-app NPS is great for actually asking the right question to engaged users (as opposed to email, where you may miss-out on some profiles)

Funnels and paths are also great tools for understanding customer journey and whether (or where) they get stuck. Only improvement I could see in funnels would be showing a conversion rate trend to help you understand if certain changes (or feature releases) have contributed to possible shifts in conversion. What do you dislike?

Reporting could use a few more metrics, like CR trend.

One needs to know CSS pretty well to be able to use tracking properly.

Understanding feature usage, poll users about upcoming functionalities.

Also, the resource center is a great way for announcing new features and even provide an in-app FAQ.

There is a zen-desk integration, and we've been able to integrate with HubSpot's CMS with some custom code.
