What do you like best about Pear Deck for Google Slides Add-on for G Suite?

I enjoy the simplicity of getting the widget as an add on and having students use this during online assignments. I really enjoy adding audio to slides as well as creating custom questions. The question feature and ability to connect with students from a far during this virtual learning time and hard and this does allow for them to hear our voice! I also like that students can go back and re-listen to the lessons that we have uploaded each time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pear Deck for Google Slides Add-on for G Suite?

I do not like that you have to click on add widget each time, and the tool bar on the side making it a little harder to see/add features to each time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I recommend having it be easier/more accessible than on the tool tab for teachers to access. I also would LOVE if google did implement its own app to classroom for there to be just one general hub! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Pear Deck for Google Slides Add-on for G Suite solving and how is that benefiting you?

Some issues I am having is that sometimes the widget goes away on my tool tab on google docs/slides.You do have to pay for the premium features which is a bit expensive for the year compared to the free version that they offer. Benefits: I really enjoy adding audio to slides. That has been a game changer to connect with our kids from a distance! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pear Deck increases the engagnment of the students in the classroom. It also is a great tool for eLearning. The reports that you can pull from here are wonderful to share back with students to see where they need to focus. My students enjoy the self paced mode which can quickly be added if you run out of time in class to complete the set of slides. I was hesitant to purchase it, but I have very much enjoyed using it in my classroom and also for eLearning days. You can test it out, but my school bought a subscription which is very helpful.
