It's made supporting users a lot easier, especially with people working remotely. The remote access is fast, software deployment is simple, and being able to run PowerShell without taking over someone's screen is a real time saver. The layout is easy to navigate, so I can quickly find what I need without wasting time. Overall, it's a solid tool that just makes day-to-day IT support much easier. Sometimes I'd like more reporting and automation options, and a few tasks still require using other tools. It would also be nice if the remote session connected a bit quicker on slower internet connections. Other than that, it's been reliable and does what I need it to do. I love how quick PDQ Connect is to get set up and running. The interface is intuitive and the PDQ team provided us training up front as well. The day to day operations are much faster than competing products we evaluated. You click to deploy and they deployment happens almost immediately. Even something fairly big like Microsoft updates run quickly so the speed overall is great. Automations are easy to set up and they work well. The remote support option was a nice bonus. I love that PDQ Connect provides reliable and powerful package deployment and upkeep for cross-platform devices like Windows and MacOS, and runs lightweight on the device. The people behind the platform are fantastic, with a background as systems admins who truly get the value of a tool like PDQ Connect for IT teams and MSP operators. The AI-powered package creator for Windows and MacOS is amazing with its detailed step-by-step control and feedback loop, making deployment super fast and incredibly effective. It's also quick to get the PDQ Connect agent deployed across the fleet and the support resources are great when needed. I like that PDQ Connect is SaaS, requiring little maintenance compared to hosting it on a server internally, where I'd need to manage and update the server itself. It's great that it works similarly to Deploy, which I've used before and recommend for Windows updates and software management. Managing software deployments, updates, and auditing for multiple remote sites and workers is easier because PDQ Connect is on the internet already with strong bandwidth; they just need WIFI. I use PDQ Connect for the installation of every single piece of software we have, keeping everything updated in drive connected, and pushing out various updates and desktop shortcuts onto everybody's machines. I like its ease of use and find it very customizable, allowing us to get into very specific spots that need attention. The transition from the previous versions of PDQ was very easy, and the initial setup was very simple. I love having Remote Desktop, Vulnerability/CVE scanning, and the traditional PDQ Deploy/Inventory all in one suite that we can easily switch between. The layout makes it very easy to switch tasks without having to have multiple apps open. It definitely saves time. The deployments and reporting (inventory) is much faster than on the on-prem traditional version, along with the remote desktop software being better than many others. Packing all three of these features into one suite for the price that other companies charge for each, is a major boon that secured my company's trust and happiness. What do you dislike about PDQ Connect? The vulnerability suite could be a little more expansive. There is no central "company score" which is helpful for determining how much time to dedicate. Additionally, the reporting on vulnerabilities could use a little work. The inventory, reporting, and scanning feature of PDQ work very well. You can get detailed information on literally anything on your connected machines. The Scanner function lets you pull in specific data that is relevant to you, and catalog that for your whole organization. You can then run reports off of the data you collect, specifying the exact info your want in the output. In my experience, this reporting and inventory function is better than similar products like SCCM and Intune. Those platforms make inventory and reporting more difficult than it should be. Deploy software from PDQ is very fast as well compared to other MDM and RMM solutions. The interface of PDQ is very simple and clean. It doesn't take long to figure out what the categories do and how the system works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about PDQ Connect? Groups and collections are really just saved filters. This sometimes makes it hard to configure a collection of machines dynamically. You can't deploy to the All machines group that exists in PDQ. This is strange since it should just be a usable group. Some of the built in PDQ apps and groups do not work correctly. They will throw errors when trying to deploy software, but if you make the group yourself it works fine. The problem is that it will not stay up to date in the same way as the predefined group normally would. You seemingly can't adjust scanner times, reporting times, or automations frequency. Pushing software and applications remotely to our business's machines. This simplifies and automates IT process's to create a standardized Windows platform for users. This free's IT up to focus on other tasks and objectives by taking repetitive tasks and automating them for the business. PDQ Connect provides us with a great oversight of our Estate, covering lots of different areas; Online Availability, Vulnerability reports and remediation, as well as being able to remotely deploy Software with ease. It deploys very easily from MS InTune, meaning we do not have to manually deploy it or have an on-prem push for the software, so onboarding new devices is super easy. The Platform itself is easy to use, easy on the eye and very intuitive.
