I really like the ease of use of PDQ Connect. I find using the command line to be convenient, which also matches its ease of use. The RDP and updating features are particularly valuable for keeping our equipment up to date. The switch from SCCM to PDQ Connect was primarily because it is much easier than SCCM. I like using PDQ Connect for seeing all my devices and keeping programs up to date. I appreciate that I can use it anywhere, which is really convenient. The MOST useful thing was the PDQ PowerShell commands.

You could remotely install software.

Remotely enumerate the logged in user's mapped drives.

Remotely back up their user profile for a files and settings transfer to a new laptop.

Sometimes the software deployments or commands would take up to an hour to complete. Not totally sure if it was PDQ's fault but it did happen. It's more likely that we were migrating to tanium when this happened.

I love the package deployment and 1 click vulnerability management. The package deployment is some of the best I have worked with throughout my 6 year career. The vulnerability management capabilities such as remedating with 1 click is something I have seen competitors try and implement and PDQ has that built in to their premium tier. I don't have many gripes with the software. The only quality of life feature I wish PDQ had was a better background remote access tool. The CMD and Powershell sessions are queue based as the software queues commands instead of starting a session. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to view all of our company machines at a glance is extremely helpful. The ability to create custom reports allows us to focus on machines that require updates, making our workflow more efficient. The main feature I wish PDQ Connect offered is an easy way for users to connect remotely through the cloud. Other companies provide a website where remote users can log in and download a temporary client, allowing local IT staff to access and support off-site users. We like that PDQ Connect is now agent-based, which makes it work well with our remote workforce or those with laptops they take home. I appreciate the ability to create our own software packages easily with PowerShell scripts. The clean UI makes it easy to find what we're looking for. I value the support channels, such as the Discord server and YouTube channel, providing regular and useful content. The Remote Control feature, based on ISL remote, supports RDS servers and has allowed us to replace LogMeIn Central, saving us money. Some of the features their previous products - Deploy and Inventory - had are missing from Connect. For example: the PowerShell scanner for adding arbitrary data to asset tracking part of Connect. They have many of the missing features on their development roadmap, however. I've been a PDQ user for many years. I've used Deploy and Inventory for a long time and decided that I couldn't have the reliance on VPN anymore. We decided to use D&I to "train it's replacement" and push out the Connect client. The roadmap is pushing Connect towards feature parity with D&I. Connect works really well. Tasks executed in Connect are so much more expeditious than InTune. I love the PDQ Discord. The regulars there (like Marcel) are always very helpful.
