"Effortless Device Management and Seamless Updates Across Schools"
5/5
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

We use PDQ Connect for centralized management of staff and student devices. It allows our technology department to deploy and update software, push security patches, and run maintenance tasks remotely without disrupting classroom instruction. PDQ Connect also helps us keep devices compliant, reduce hands-on support time, and respond quickly to issues across multiple schools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

We’ve had a positive experience with PDQ in our environment. It meets our current needs for managing devices and software, and we haven’t encountered any major issues that would impact day-to-day operations. Like any tool, it’s evaluated alongside other solutions as our needs evolve, but at this time it’s working as expected for our school system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Solution That Simplifies IT Management"
5/5
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

This solution has allowed our team to bring together several tools and platforms into one unified system, which has made processes much more straightforward for our entire IT Department. The Remote Desktop feature, in particular, has been extremely helpful when providing support to all of our employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

One significant limitation is that if a device lacks a functioning internet connection, our ability to provide remote support is greatly reduced. Although this is not a frequent occurrence, there have been times when devices appeared to be offline in terms of internet access but were still reachable on our local network. In these cases, we were able to rely on other tools to remotely connect and resolve the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Real-Time Device Monitoring That Saves Time and Boosts Control"
5/5
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

Because PDQ is agent-based, we are able to monitor all of our devices and their details in real time. This method has turned out to be far more effective for us compared to PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory, which we used for many years. PDQ Connect has truly saved us a lot of time and provides us with better control over our device inventory. The report feature has also been extremely useful, especially during our Windows 11 conversion project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

Some of our users work from home using their personal computers instead of devices provided by our organization. While it would be helpful to use the remote support feature to assist them, we are reluctant to install the agent on their home machines due to privacy concerns. This is one of the main reasons we are hesitant to switch from Teamviewer to PDQ Connect's remote support. I would appreciate a feature similar to Teamviewer, where you can send a session code to the user to initiate a one-time remote session. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Deployment and Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

So many good things to say about PDQ Connect. It was easy to setup and start using, packages are easy to create/manage, using the automations for off hour deployments and to keep apps updated is a game changer. Their support is awesome, and I love the ability to request future enhancements and new package creations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I would like to be able to restrict view access for some sections and packages. For example, we want our service desk technicians to be able to deploy only the apps that are approved apps for our company. We do not want them to see or have access to deploy anything that we have not approved (internally).

I would also like the ability to go back and review my old tickets. My apologies if there's a way and I'm missing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Remote Support Tools for Laptops and Desktops"
5/5
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

We use PDQ every day for remote support as well as for managing both laptops and desktops. Adding new systems or removing old ones is very simple—just install PDQ on the new devices and delete outdated ones from device management on the PDQ website.

We've also been using it to push major software updates that would otherwise require us to go and manually input credentials before installing, saving a lot of time.

The program is intuitive enough that I have never needed to contact customer support, so I can't comment on that aspect. However, the fact that I haven't needed any assistance so far is definitely a positive sign! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

My main concern with this product is the absence of certain logging features during deployments and when executing commands. For instance, if a deployment times out, you are notified of the timeout. However, when you run a command that completes successfully, you only receive a message like "Code 0: Passed," without any additional results or logs from the successful command. "Effortless Device Management with Real-Time Access"
5/5
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

PDQ Connect makes it easy to manage and troubleshoot devices without needing them on the VPN. The real-time access is a huge plus as I can run commands, deploy fixes, and check system info quickly without jumping through hoops. It’s straightforward, reliable, and fits well into day to day IT work instead of feeling like another tool I have to fight with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

There are not many things that I dislike about PDQ Connect. If I had to say something I would say the pop-up to allow remote connection is not big or flashy enough. I am over and over having to ask the user to click the allow or yes button and half of the time it takes more than 5 seconds for them to find it. If it was a big window in the middle of the screen with flashing edges, it would definitely be easier to see, but also would look more like a scam. Hence why we connect while talking to the customer rather than cold connecting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Blazing Fast, Feature-Rich, and Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

I appreciate that it truly lives up to its name—it's impressively fast. We rely on it as a replacement for onboarding workstations after they've been added to our Intune tenant, and we also use it for patching Windows servers. I'm glad they've introduced support for MacOS devices; while I don't expect it to fully replace JAMF, it's helpful to have another option for configuring our endpoints. The scheduling features and the ability to create nested deployment steps are especially valuable to me. These capabilities save me a lot of time and effort, as I no longer need to write complex scripts to ensure tasks run in the precise order I want. I use PDQ almost daily. Customer support has always been quick to answer our tickets we open and they are super helpful when we ask for features to be implemented. They are really hands on with their customers, something you don't see much anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I wasn't too happy with the certificate expiring for PDQ client communication. I also feel like the UI could use some adjustments. While I do like the grouped deployments page, I find it cumbersome to re-deploy things to hosts without diving into a new page to see what happened, it's extra clicks to make the landing page for deployments easier to read. I think I like the old view better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamlessly Manages Complex Software Deployments"
5/5
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

I like that PDQ Connect allows me to deploy larger, more complex software like AutoCAD and Revit, which is essential for my material design firm. The biggest benefit is being able to push updates for my entire environment and support a distributed team without on-prem servers. The cloud aspect of PDQ Connect has been hugely beneficial, enabling me to manage a team scattered across the country, ensuring everyone has up-to-date software, no matter where they are. PDQ Connect handles large updates better and more consistently compared to Intune, which can be hit or miss. I also appreciate the regular updates from PDQ Connect, which have been really good and keep introducing new functionalities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

I haven't experienced anything I specifically dislike about the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Device Management with Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about PDQ Connect?

Implementing PDQ Connect was straightforward using Group Policy through my on-premises AD server. After installing the PDQ Connect Agent on my devices, I found it quick and easy to set up dynamic groups for monitoring and managing them. The PDQ Connect team has clearly recognized the challenges faced by device managers and included many pre-configured automations for various scenarios. My team relies on PDQ Connect daily to monitor our devices and provide remote support to users. If we do have any issues with PDQ Connect, the support team are always quick to respond and resolve the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?

Right from the start, the Reports section leaves something to be desired and could definitely use some improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
