Have a piece of software that every device needs? PDQ will continuously attempt to install it (when the device is reporting online). Management made easy. As long as the device is connected to the internet, you have control! PDQ Connect's support team is awesome! They are happy to help because many of them were sys/network admins in the past. They know what we need to help us succeed. We use PDQ Connect every day in our workflow process. Once we moved over to Connect those problems were gone. Setup is extremely quick, easy, and the pre-made packages help a lot with keeping commonly used apps up to date. We also really enjoy the added features that have come out since we moved over like the reporting, vulnerability scanning, and remote desktop. We still use MDT for our deployments but have since integrated PDQ Connect to deploy all of our software packages. I have had a lot of success with the support team when we had some issues with groups of endpoints showing offline and they were able to resolve it quickly. Our organization uses it every day and it's only getting better with more and more functionalities being added every month. **What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?** The only thing I didn't like was we couldn't transfer all of our on-prem packages to Connect, but it really didn't take us too long to rebuild them all. **What problems is PDQ Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?** PDQ Connect has solved a lot of security problems we were having with keeping endpoints updated and patching out vulnerabilities. We have a decent sized remote force, and trying to push software or updates through Deploy over VPN can be challenging. Agent based deploymnets and inventory is definitely the future. Looking forward to seeing this product grow. **What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?** Its not as user friendly as D&I, but such is life when you transition to browser based applications. The only downside right now, is we are starting to transition to cloud, but D&I makes more sense for our current environment. Having to duplicate everything twice can be annoying. This makes it much easier to ensure patches are getting applied in hybrid environments. The automation feature also makes is incredibly easy to ensure that certain applications are automatically getting updated. The application was extremely easy to roll out. And because we manage several security tools, we were able to automate the deployment of all other security tools via PDQ which made our onboarding process go substantially faster. Our customers have loved the remote desktop feature. While we don't directly use this feature, the customers do to perform troubleshooting activities, and we have received quite a bit of positive feedback on that. **What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?** It would be very helpful if there were the ability to delay reboots directly through PDQ. I know there are workarounds available via burnt toast, but for any organization that has strict application requirements, it would be ideal to be able to push this directly via PDQ, allowing the user to delay their reboot if they are in the middle of work. We can delay it with a countdown, but if the user is in the middle of a meeting or project, they have no ability to delay it themselves. I also think it would be beneficial for the deployments to look cleaner. I believe this is coming and is currently on the roadmap, but right now, deployments are very messy and difficult to find immediate information that is needed. I'm also hoping for reporting which will show statistics. This would help in demonstrating value of the application and service. **What problems is PDQ Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?** For us, we are able to more effectively manage vulnerabilities in the environment. In previous instances where we were not managing the patches, we were reporting on the same vulnerabilities over and over again, asking them to investigate or take action. Now, because we have access to make the changes, we simply get permission and perform it for them. Now what would have taken us a month or more, depending on customer responsiveness, takes us 15 minutes. Just yesterday, we solved 300 unique vulnerabilities in less than 10 minutes. We are also able to reduce our onboarding time substantially. Previously, we relied on the customer to deploy each endpoint needed for our services (VM, EDR, etc.). Now they only need to deploy one agent, and we can do the rest in an automated fashion, which has made getting our other offerings live, far more effective. ### 25. Coming from Deploy/Inventory I was expecting a lot as that program did everything I could have asked for and more and was a true godsend in managing my organization. Connect is constantly adding new abilities, even in the couple of months during my demo period they added 2 or 3 new, big features to the program. It's Remote Support tool is fantastic and has plenty of great features, plus I love not having to have another piece of software just to remotely support devices. **What do you dislike about PDQ Connect?** Most of the things I dislike about Connect are really just subjective things honestly. For instance, I am not crazy about the UI as I really prefer the way Deploy/Inventory was laid out, but there's nothing inherently bad or wrong with the UI. While I don't like that you can only hit a couple of registry hives currently, that's just a limitation of how the software has to run and that's partly on Windows design as well. Most of the other things I don't personally like I have sent in as suggestions as they're small things but things I think would really boost the end user experience and ease of use. Things like: similar to D&I when you click into an Endpoint, there should be a " < | > " at the top to allow you to move forward or back through the devices in the list instead of having to click back to devices and then go back into whatever group you were looking through. The ability to email a link to a remote user that they can click and it will download and install Connect and add them to my Console/Tenant.
