PDFImpose is a browser-based PDF imposition and print-production toolkit for preparing files for print. It helps designers, print shops, and makers arrange existing PDF pages on sheets and export a standard imposed PDF to print on their own equipment or send to a print provider. PDFs are processed on the user's device in the browser, with no plugin to install. The responsive progressive web app also works in mobile browsers on Android and iPhone/iPad. Users can start in Quick Impose with a finished piece such as a saddle-stitch booklet, perfect-bound book, business cards, flyers, labels, tickets, or a tiled poster. Custom Impose gives direct control over the sheet and page layout. Options include sheet size, page order, margins, gaps, bleed, crop marks, and duplex layouts. A live sheet preview helps users check the job before export, including front-to-back alignment and booklet page order. Other layouts include N-up grids, Step & Repeat, cut-and-stack, and Dutch cut. The toolkit also includes related PDF and production tools. Saved templates and file management support repeat jobs. PDF Explorer and Prepress Inspector help examine files, while the production workbench can open JDF, XJDF, JMF, PPF, and PrintTalk job files. An optional text or voice setup assistant can interpret the print-job details a user specifies and prepare a workspace for review. Its suggestions do not change a job until the user chooses to apply them. PDFImpose is free to start with Google sign-in. The free tier includes five total exports, spaced at least eight hours apart, while Pro offers unlimited exports without a cooldown through monthly or annual billing. The app generates an imposed PDF for the user to print or share; it does not operate a printing service.
