PDFBetter is an AI-native PDF editor that runs in the browser, with desktop apps for Mac and Windows. Instead of clicking through menus, you tell it what to do: change the text on a page, fill a form with your saved details, mark sensitive data for redaction, translate a page, add page numbers or a watermark, or merge, split, convert and OCR several files from one prompt. Every edit is proposed as one change set. Nothing is saved until you apply it, and a single undo reverts the whole set. Merges, conversions and OCR always produce new files, so your originals never change. Answers from the AI assistant cite the page they came from. You can also edit existing text, fonts and layout directly, fill and sign any form (including flat scans), turn a PDF into a fillable form with automatic field detection, and send documents for e-signature with signing order, reminders and an audit trail. Signed documents are digitally sealed and time-stamped. AI agents such as Claude Code and Cursor can work with your documents through a remote MCP server. The free plan needs no card and has no end date and no watermark. Paid plans start at $10 per month, billed yearly.
