pdf2text turns PDFs, scans and phone photos into data you can use: Excel, CSV, JSON, Word or plain text. AI OCR reads each page as an image, so image-only scans, tables and multi-column layouts come out as editable rows and text instead of jumbled copy-paste. Bank statements are the main use. pdf2text pulls the statement details and every transaction (date, description, debit, credit, balance) and runs a running-balance check so you can spot a misread row before you export. Paid plans and pay-once documents add QuickBooks and Xero CSV exports. Bank-specific guides cover 98 banks in the US, UK, Canada, India, Australia, South Africa, Ireland and Japan. Invoices, receipts, forms and reports work too. Every result appears beside the original page, so you check it before you download. On our published benchmark, 98% of numbers were correct across 82 hand-checked real-world pages; the method and caveats are at pdf2text.ai/en/accuracy/. Pricing is simple. The first page of every document is free with no credit card (an email is needed to see the result). Pay once from $9 for a document of up to 25 pages, with no subscription, or choose a monthly plan from $19 for 150 pages. Bookkeeping ($29) and Firm ($79) add saved mappings, validation, batch and priority processing. The interface is available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese and Chinese. Files travel over HTTPS to a private workspace, are never sold, and can be deleted on request.
