I currently use the PDF Reader Pro on an Apple MacOS machine. I have found some minor incompatibilities for some PDF documents generated by certain business applications, that only the Adobe PDF reader is able to read. This I have encountered only on PDF generated by certain custom business applications, so it is not a big problem as these specific problem documents, can be read using the Adobe Reader. I started using PDF Reader Pro when I needed a quick solution to sign a document online for a new job at the start of the pandemic. I was starting a new career and because of the situation of the pandemic, everything was to be done from home. I never had to make an electronic signature before and wasn't able to figure it out quickly with Adobe Reader and I didn't want to pay for a premium plan just for a few signatures. So with a quick search, I discovered PDF Reader Pro. I loved that it was straightforward, quick and easy to do exactly what I needed at the time, sign my new job documents.

I continued to use it afterwards to fill out forms and sign them. However, I disliked that once I saved my document after filling it and signing it, after closing it and reopening it, I realized that what I entered wasn't saved. I wasn't sure at first what was the issue. It seemed that there was a way to save it that worked and another way that didn't. I'm still not sure but one way that seemed to work best. I never really took the time to figure out what was the problem. I just made quick tries to get the result I needed at the moment in a hurry. I can't remember exactly but it was either that it worked best to keep the modifications when I printed the document to PDF or when I saved it using the Save as or save as flattened PDF.

At some point, I figured out how to use the signature functionality for free with Adobe Reader and started using it instead because it worked perfectly everytime. But I still use PDF Reader Pro for other specific needs I can't use Adobe Reader or just randomly use one or the other. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

To sum up, keeping the documents organized and confidential is a necessity rather than a choice for me. And watermarking documents is the most cost-effective way. Files may also be at risk of being used arbitrarily when stored in private file repositories. Maybe you need redact or set a password for your document. I hope PDF Reader Pro for Windows can have this function like my Mac. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
