The design was easy to use. The cost per month for a subscription was reasonable. **What do you dislike about PCRecruiter?** "Upgrades" were anything but. Bulk mail service stopped functioning out of thin air over a weekend, followed by complete system failure to even allow users to log in to their database despite the status box showing "Normal" and there was NO ONE available...not even a second party answering service, that was answering the phones. **What problems is PCRecruiter solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was running my business with it. **Official Response from Andrew Rothman:** > Our live phone support team is available during business hours in the US, but our technical group monitors the system 24/7 for any sort of critical server or software interruption. Our support team will often address critical issues via email in off-hours as well. This has allowed us to maintain well over 99% uptime in 20+ years of service, with complete system downtime being an exceedingly rare and brief event. We hope that when our support team reached you they were able to pin down the cause of this unusual experience with your particular account - if a resolution wasn't reached, please get back in touch. If your bulk email stopped functioning it could be specific to your email provider, as many SMTP services have limits on how much mail they will allow through in a given period. Great Potential but Too Rigid **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2019 **What do you like best about PCRecruiter?** PCR is responsive to user ideas and suggestions for improvement. The software is web-based so no need to download and install a large file. They have great tool extensions that substantially decreases the time spent navigating and updating records. The activity recorded is highly customizable to make result tracking easier. **What do you dislike about PCRecruiter?** PCR's infrastructure is segregated and rigid so it takes a lot of clicks and navigation to do basically anything in the system. The csv file import lacks many custom and predefined field options and duplicate checking options. The auditing reports don't offer the option to track global changes in the database. My team experience obstacles/issue on a weekly basis because the user interface isn't intuitive, so I believe PCR could greatly improve by becoming more fluid/user-friendly and customizable. **Recommendations to others considering PCRecruiter:** Consider training time, maintenance, and computer skill level of the users **What problems is PCRecruiter solving and how is that benefiting you?** We strive to maintain a fruitful candidate pipeline and the customizable layout, field options, and activity codes make it easy to search and target the correct people. PCR also has some automation capabilities to eliminate repetitive tasks. The rollup stage icons allow you to visually summarize the progress or status. The analytics are almost nonexistent and the mobile app is completely stripped down and missing most of the necessary information to be useful. It has no automation and lacks most forms of bulk communication **Recommendations to others considering PCRecruiter:** With so many potential options out there, it's hard to really recommend PCR if you're looking to switch, but it's also been difficult for us to find another that had all the features we need/desire, making it hard to leave PCR. **What problems is PCRecruiter solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows us to navigate our niche market and build relationships with key clients **Official Response from Andrew Rothman:** > Thank you for sharing your thoughts on PCR.
