Top Rated pCloud Alternatives
pCloud is the best software that exists when it comes to saving or storing files of different kinds in the cloud, easily and securely. One of its virtues is that the program does not depend completely on the Internet to be enjoyed. The best thing about this tool is that it is very easy to use and allows storing large amounts of information efficiently. Additionally, pCloud has a very efficient security system to prevent any virus attack. Its user platform is quite simple and complete, allowing users to guarantee their work. pCloud is undoubtedly very good, and the program certainly does not present any flaws. In my experience working with this software, I don't recall having any inconvenience or bad experience. However, the paid version I acquired three years ago does not have any function to update and does not update in any way. Despite my version not being new, it works very well, but the new packages my friends have acquired are much more updated and modern. I would like my package to be able to update. I love how easy it is to access from all my devices, whether I'm at home or on the go. It's super easy to upload (and encrypt) my files and photos/videos. And trivially easy to share with friends and family who aren't super techy, so it's really convenient that they just need to click a link to watch whatever they're looking for.
Also, note that they offer generous amounts of cloud storage for a decent price. They offer lifetime deals a few times a year - stock up when they do! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doesn't allow me to back up my phones/tablets to it. That's more a factor of Apple not allowing it, of course, but it's frustrating to have all this space available and not be able to backup my phone to it regularly. I can back up/sync photos, but not contacts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Now my digital life and my work are all in the cloud, I needed space, a lot of space and I think pCloud was the right choice. Lots of space, an appropriate price and a service that works. It's easy to use and I implemented it in no time on my mobile phone, computer and tablet. I use it every day because it is the container for all my files Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has a small flaw which is a bit of a nuisance for me. It doesn't start automatically when I start it on my PC. Every day I turn it on and then I have to log in to be able to start working. Once logged in on Windows I would like to have my pCloud directly without logging in with my Google account every day. In the end, access to my PC is password protected and once I log in, Gmail and Drive work without having to log in every day. Why does pCloud ask me every day to log in with my Google account? I understand security but this is ridiculous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They seem to have better security and payment plans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1) Not the best UI. Often very un-intuitive design.
2) Customer support via email only. Sometimes if we need urgent help, or cannot figure their UI out, it can lead to useless mails back n forth from customer support being totally unhelpful and useless
3) Payment glitches leads to ALL CONTENT being moved to TRASH. retrieving the content from TRASH is a terribly difficult process. Simply upgrading the plan DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. This is why I plan to migrate out from their platform and NOT Recommend them at all. BEcause we COULD LOSE ALL OUR STORED FILES on this platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1) Clean interface
2) Support is very responsive
3) Affordable and value for money
4) Software is updated regularly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1) Have to keep logging in all the time.
2) Crashes or hangs often - probably best for low storage users, not heavy use.
3) Buggy and the only solution seems to be to reinstall. Can be frustrating
4) Not sure if I will ever be able to backup all my materials Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that I can extend my storage for an affordable life-time payment that works just like a physical hard drive on my computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly have not run into anything I don't like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that they have a free account you can get to have a certain amount for free. Their upgrades look decent price and it seems like it works pretty well. As good as others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Free could be bigger I guess. And I would like to get a large amount of storage for an inexpensive price with a reputable storage platform. They are not bad ,but at the moment I am having to wait because of price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
pCloud is a great way to share files with anyone – even transferring your own files from one device to another. I started with pCloud's free plan, which is very generous for everyday file sharing, but there are benefits on a paid plan (including the ability to create custom-branded download pages). There's a web version plus a mobile app, so you can access files no matter which device you're on. And you can share files with anyone ... they don't need a pCloud account to view or download. I don't really have any complaints - it's easy to use and meets my needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First, unlike Dropbox, I don't have 87 million conflicting files and, as such, duplicates. I love that I can run it on my phone and PC and that it will play the videos very well without buffering issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Needs a duplicate finder (not for conflicting files, but when transferring files between devices that aren't linked to pCloud).
Its UX can be confusing, and I still can't figure out the difference between pCloud and pCloud Sync.
That's about it, it's pretty great other than that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
