I use PayPal Payments to collect and send international payments as a freelancer. I like how easily I'll be able to set up and verify my account, and I can send invoices and collect payments instantly by sending PayPal payment links. The onboarding process was very smooth and easy, taking me just 10 minutes to set up and it's an ease of integration with my portfolio. I appreciate that I can easily create and send invoices to my clients through the PayPal dashboard and can collect payments effortlessly by sending them PayPal payment links which i use it frequently in day to day business works and it offers great customer support . It is also nice that amounts get credited instantly to my PayPal account, unlike banks which can take more than 10-15 days with a lot of hidden charges which PayPal doesn't have. The only problem I face is PayPal holds the accounts and limits the usage as well as the payment keeps getting declined sometimes. If PayPal thinks that the account is doing suspicious activity, they limit the account even though you don't do anything, and sometimes the payment keeps getting declined as well. I appreciate that customers can simply use my email ID or phone number to send money to my account, which makes the payment process straightforward. I have also integrated PayPal Payments with my Shopify Plus store, so customers see the PayPal option when checking out, which simplifies the process as they can just choose PayPal and log in without needing to enter card details. For some countries, PayPal payment is not an option. For example, in India, PayPal payments are not generally accepted. I suggest PayPal should go worldwide so any customer can accept or send money through PayPal. In some countries like India, UPI is a well-known payment option. PayPal should partner with RBI or other platforms in India to also accept the payments, something like UPI. If they can scan the QR code, they can simply send the money. I love the fact that paypal has an easy way to send to money to people and it is very fast and quick. You only need an email address of the person you want to send money to and payments can be completed in seconds. It is also helpful when you are doing online shopping and paying people internationally. Paypal is not entirely accepted everywhere when it comes to some websites or some businesses do not accept it all, which makes it difficult to do transactions. Also when transferring money from paypal to your bank account for one to three business days and it may take much longer than expected which can be frustating. It makes it possible to shop online through international sites and also to receive payments that can’t be directly transferred to my bank account, which is a big help for people who work internationally and earn in currencies other than their own. I like how the exchange rate is quite good compared to other payment options. Plus, there's no need to withdraw from the account as it automatically pays out after one day.
