Refunding or returning with installments can also get confusing because you can issue a partial refund to a customer but the customer still owes PayPal the remaining installments which can be confusing for the customer. PayPal's Buy Now Pay Later allows customers to buy products when they don't have the money now, but will have money when they get their next paycheck, etc. PayPal doesn't charge interest or late fees making it very predictable.
