Paymerang is an excellent tool for virtually completely outsourcing the processing of payments to vendors. They optimize payment methods based on vendor acceptance, do all the work of processing credit card payments (manually entering through vendor portals, etc.), and coordinate issue resolution on vendor payment issues to where your team only becomes involved when necessary to solve the issue. Rebates achieved on vendor card payments for us exceed any payment processing and software subscription fees, making the solution net zero cost. Customer support is generally true to its "white-glove" marketing - they are pretty responsive and take care of a lot for you. We have a personal account relationship point of contact. It was very easy to integrate with Dynamics Great Plains and they provided all of the integration resources up front. We were up and running within a matter of weeks. You must either setup a wire-pull relationship with your bank account, or come to an agreement with them about funding via ACH. If funding payment batches via ACH, they will not process the batches of course until your deposit has cleared. This can sometimes delay "urgent" payment processing and if payments need expediting we often simply do it internally instead of passing to Paymerang. Additionally, information about vendor payment methods is treated as proprietary - for example, there's no easy way to run a history report of vendors and payment method, or history of payment method. With card payments, there's no customer-facing indication of how Paymerang processes those - it's considered proprietary and part of the value of the platform, and you don't have visibility to that at the detail level. Prior to using Paymerang, we never felt like we had a great handle on which vendors were waiting for payment and where an invoice was in the approval process. Now, we can track the entire lifecycle of an invoice from receipt to payment, all online. It was, by far, the easiest software implementation I have ever been involved with and it was really easy for employees across all departments to learn and implement our new process. I have had several department heads go out of their way to tell me how much they love Paymerang. I wish the different portals flowed together a bit better. For example, if I want to see all the details (including payment) for a particular invoice, I first have to look it up in invoice automation and then look it up again in payment automation.

What I like most about Paymerang is taking the process of vendors out of our business office. We were previously issuing most payments via check, and now have the ability to via ACH and credit card as well without having to do a separate process for each payment type. In addition, we feel confident there is an additional level of fraud protection as we know Paymerang support is reaching out to our vendors to confirm payment information as well. The main downside i can think of is having to go to another system outside of our ERP for payment status information. I previously also had trouble being able to search for some vendor information, however, that has been resolved with prior updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paymerang support team is incredible! I am new in my role as Director of Finance for a school, and I was nervous tackling a transition to an automated payment processor in the first quarter of my tenure. The transition was seamless and so easy to implement! We use Blackbaud for our financial system and it integrates well with Paymerang. Our vendors have been thrilled with the option of ACH and CC payments because we were formerly mailing checks. We process around 80-100 payables per week (98% of which are being processed through Paymerang). Vendors are paid fast and the process has enhanced our efficiencies and saved countless hours for us. What I like about Paymerang is the invoice automation and ease of use. We have an email account that forwards all invoices directly to Paymerang. Paymerang reads the vendor, invoice number, invoice date and amount owed. This helps with the accuracy of records. The AP Department can then send out the invoices to the exact people that need to approve them.
Importing the completed invoices into Veracross is simple. A CSV file is created and we can then upload the invoices to the AP Ledger. Once we have completed our AP process we then can send a file back to Paymerang for payment.
Paymerang payment is fantastic. We no longer have cut checks and mail them out. Vendors can received their payments quicker if they sign up for ACH or Credit Card.

There should be automated emails sent back to the AP Department if an invoice has been rejected by an assigned approver.

I'm the CFO of Nycom and our company has grown significantly over the past 3 years. Our number of AP invoices has continued to climb, but I have not had to add significant resources in our Operating Plan on the AP side to handle the growth. Paymerang has helped us to scale and I'm really happy with the service. I waited about a year to go through implementation, but I should have moved sooner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish we didn't always have to send a weekly wire with the funds. If you are already paying vendors ACH, there should be a faster and seamless way to have them paid via ACH as well (not by check first). This slows the process down.

Implementation really did only take 2 weeks, it was amazing. Customer Support is very responsive when we have questions. We use Paymerang for invoice automation and for payment automation. Invoice automation removes the need to collect manual signatures, now everything is digital signature with a digital trail. Payment automation removes the need to mail out physical checks. Clients even like it better, because of the option to be paid via ACH or Check. Business simplified! Previously you had to input your 6-digit text code every 2 hours or so when using Paymerang to stay logged in. But that's since been fixed, so now it's only once a day need to authenticate on my desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
