"User-Friendly Interface That’s Easy for Staff to Learn"
4/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I appreciate the user interface. It makes it easy for my staff to understand how to use it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

Workflows are not as great as we hoped that they would be. Our biggest issue with them is the inflexibility on what fields show up when trying to create a change workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Customer Service has dropped in the last 2-3 years."
3.5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

They have made some upgrades to how you process the payroll, input the batch, HR features and measuring, which are positive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

In the last 2-3 years customer service has dropped dramatically. It takes days, multiple follow ups, and calls even to get a response to a service question email. There are no dedicated account managers anymore, everyone has a service team, who those members eventually get shifted away to different jobs, so your never talking to the same person. They don't know me or care about my account. It seems like all I ever get from them are stock or AI generated answers to my questions, with attitude (like how dare i ask them or challenge them when their wrong...) so it seems like they don't know the product very well, and often I've been using it longer at this point then they've been employed by the company. Between them not knowing my account and the product, i have to complain to reach a higher level manager every time, even for simple things. So its just exhausting on the service end. "Paylocity’s Intuitive Navigation and Flexible Reporting Made Easy"
5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

What I love best about Paylocity is how easy it is to navigate the website. I also really find it beneficial to have so many types of reports I'm able to either use a template of or create my own. This is most beneficial when pulling company wide employee information. I've used ADP in the past with a different employer, and it was such a convoluted website, I feel like we were never able to fully overcome the learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

I do notice that Paylocity's website does incur technical difficulties more often. When this happens, the website won't load, or loads very slowly. I sometimes receive a blank page with an error code after the log in process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One HR & Payroll with Seamless Onboarding and Time-Saving AI"
4/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I really like that anything you would need for human resources and payroll can be done in paylocity. I also really like the AI for staff and our leadership team because it saves a lot of time for our HR staff. I feel the pricing is fair for all you get as well. The onboarding suite is probably my favorite because the new hire can complete all needed tasks before even stepping in the building. Paylocity integrates with our background provider and it is seamless! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

Whenever I run reports and our finance team runs reports, we seem to get different data with the same parameters. The PTO is a problem for our team as well. It does not seem to calculate correctly and/or communicate with the time management suite, leaving employees thinking they have a lot more PTO than they actually do. "Easy to Use, but Recruiting Features Feel Very Stagnant"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

Paylocity is generally easy to use and easy to teach someone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

The recruiting function has not had a sufficient upgrade in years. We were opted into a new feature of “single candidate profile” that sounded revolutionary, however the changes have been so minimal that we don’t even pay attention to them. We experience constant errors, bugs, getting logged out, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"So Many Options in One Place—A Powerful Partner for Timekeeping and Recruitment"
5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I like that it has so many options housed inside. It's where we do timekeeping, and prior to my arrival at AVmedia Inc, we really didn't do anything else. Now our Family Member Conversations (Reviews), training are also running through. We always say there's so much more than we're even using. I love the partnership of so many different apps to help simplify - especially in recruitment! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

I'd say that we sometimes have to wait for different customizations or have trouble getting in touch with our main contact. But when we get to the right person, we're good! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Payroll and Recruitment Simplified"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I love Paylocity's seamless transition from timecard to payroll processing. The ease of processing payroll has significantly lessened my payroll time, bringing it down to one hour for four companies. Its recruitment system is valuable as it posts in numerous forums, creating a wider reach and using job descriptions to attract and qualify candidates effectively. The onboarding is great, letting prospective employees complete 90% of paperwork before their first day, making the process smooth. I appreciate the system's intuitiveness, streamlining recruitment and employee recognition of anniversaries and birthdays. Our integration for 401K and paperless time-off requests also works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

Employees who have Paylocity as their payroll company with more than one organization must log into each company without the use of a potential drop down feature. This feature would enhance the user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Payroll Solution with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I use Paylocity for payroll and HR. It helped improve the efficiency and speed of our payroll process. I love the user-friendliness and the ability to house multiple functions in one system. Paylocity can integrate with outside systems for benefits, 401k, and more. I really appreciate the reporting capabilities where I can create my own reports. It's also great that Paylocity offers a customizable package for purchasing different modules separately. We have integrations with American Trust for 401k, Cigna for medical, dental, and vision insurance, and UT&I for pushing time card data from our POS Toast to Paylocity time cards. The implementation team was pretty good and our setup went much better than our previous experience with Paycor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

The biggest improvement would be related to onboarding. There needs to be texting features for people who are in onboarding. Right now, its only available for applicants in recruiting but once they move to onboarding, no more texts. There is also issues with onboarding where things could be adjusted to be more intuitive when it comes to completing tax forms and things like that for younger employees, which we have a lot of, because those parts of onboarding can be very confusing for young people, especially with their first job. And also, the customer service could be better sometimes. If our regular rep can answer a questions, its pretty quick. But if another team needs to get involved, it can take a long time, especially for tax amendments. The amount of time to process a tax return amendment is unacceptable. "Simplifies Payroll and Reporting with Great User Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I find Paylocity user friendly, even for someone who doesn't have a strong HR background like me. It's made running payroll, reporting, and tracking company property much easier. I particularly appreciate the payroll reporting tools like deduction reports, summaries, and payroll registers, which seamlessly tie into QuickBooks. I love the QuickBooks marketplace integration and how our payroll automatically syncs with QuickBooks, simplifying my workflow. The implementation was super easy, and all our employees have had a great experience. I feel we can do much more with Paylocity than we did with our previous provider. The customer support is also great—I call maybe once a week for various issues, and they're always friendly and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

We recently moved to the Airbase expense reporting, and while it seems like it could be a great system, it's majorly robust for our needs and I liked what expense reporting was before. It was simple, effective, and easy. I wish we could've stayed with that. Our implementation wasn't great for that. I also think the service is just too much for a small 35 person company. We don't issue credit cards to people, it's just all personal expense reimbursements. I wish we could've kept the original expense reporting we've been using since moving to Paylocity a few years ago. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient, User-Friendly HR & Payroll Platform with Strong Integrations and Automation Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I love the ease of use of Paylocity, as there haven’t been many technical issues that disrupt our everyday processes. The platform has helped improve efficiency and ROI for our team by reducing manual work and streamlining several HR and payroll functions into one system. I appreciate the many options for integration, particularly how we use the Checkr integration directly from the Recruiting/Onboarding section to keep all electronic records in one place. The General Ledger feature has also been a huge time-saver by simplifying uploads into our accounting software.

In addition, Paylocity’s customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever questions or issues arise, which makes implementation and ongoing use much smoother. I also appreciate the continued enhancements around AI and automation tools, which help improve workflows, reporting, and overall productivity across our organization.e. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

One challenge we have encountered is that many of our smaller 1–8 employee companies cannot utilize the Benefits Enhanced integration, which requires us to manually track benefit deductions. This creates additional administrative work and increases the potential for human error. Expanding this functionality to smaller groups would greatly improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall ROI for both our team and our clients.

While we understand this is currently a system limitation, it would be beneficial to see future enhancements or AI-driven automation options that could help support smaller companies in managing benefits more seamlessly. We do appreciate the support team’s transparency and willingness to explain limitations and provide guidance on alternative processes when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
