"All-in-One Platform for Secure, Organized Employee Records"
4/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I love that everything is in one place. The system makes it easy to keep all employee records and confidential information secure, organized, and readily available when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

I dislike that there are known product concerns that go unresolved while account managers are contacting me to purchase additional modules. The performance evaluation module has issues with upline supervisors not being able to see indirect reports. This is a known issue and has yet to be resolved 2+ years later. "Knowledge Base Makes Payroll Clearer and Easier"
4/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

The most helpful part for me has been the Knowledge base. Since I’m just starting out with it for the first time, it’s been a really useful tool. Running payroll has also become clearer, and it’s been easier to prorate individuals who are on salary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

The least helpful thing about Paylocity is that I can’t add columns to the timesheet to capture more detailed information that can be transposed into a journal entry. We have individuals who are cross-trained and work in different locations and/or departments, and I have to send that information separately to our accountants. In some cases, their time is tied to a special grant for that department, and not everyone in the department is tied to that grant.

I also cannot refine a report to our specifications. It is either one report has some of the information and another has the last piece of information which can't be added to the other report. I know we can request help creating a report close to it but I have to call it in. When putting in a request there is no drop down for Reporting and Analytics. By adding this feature it would save time and be able to communicate easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Off-Cycle Checks Make Payroll Simpler"
4/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

I like the ease of adding off cycle checks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

1. I think the modules should be easier to add information. For example, when giving access to Time & Labor you have to go into personal, access - scroll down and select yes for access to time and labor and what page they have access to. It used to be in employment assignments. Not 10 clicks away. 2. I also would like Paylocity to be able to track people on what location they are in. Employees that work in the city have to pay city taxes where employees DONT pay in the other 3 locations. If we tracked locations by punch ins I would not have to create separate letters with an average amount of time they spend in each office.

3. I would also like it if schedules were color coded to location of where they were working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Paylocity: User-Friendly, Reliable, and Packed with Time-Saving Integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

We've had a very positive experience with Paylocity. The platform is user-friendly for both administrators and employees, making payroll, HR, benefits, and timekeeping tasks easy to manage. Its integrations with other systems have helped streamline our processes and eliminate much of the manual work, saving valuable time each payroll cycle. The system is reliable, performs well, and has delivered a strong return on investment through increased efficiency and improved employee self-service. Customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever we've needed assistance, and the addition of AI-powered tools has made it even easier to find information, navigate the platform, and complete tasks more quickly. Overall, Paylocity continues to evolve with innovative features that make it a valuable solution for organizations of all sizes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

While our overall experience with Paylocity has been positive, there are areas where the platform could be improved. Some reports can be difficult to customize and occasionally require workarounds to retrieve the exact data needed. Certain features and settings can also be challenging to locate, particularly when navigating less frequently used areas of the system. Although integrations generally work well, there are times when updates or synchronization between modules are not immediate. Customer support is knowledgeable, but response times can vary depending on the complexity of the issue. As Paylocity continues to expand its AI capabilities, we'd like to see more intelligent reporting, proactive recommendations, and enhanced automation to further simplify administrative tasks and improve the overall user experience. "User-Friendly, Cost-Effective HR & Payroll with First-Class Paylocity Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

The software platform is very user-friendly, and the product support is first-class. As someone at a small company who wears many hats and manages the back end of the business, having support from Paylocity is invaluable. Integrations with 401(k) and benefits are a real time-saver. The systems always work and are very user-friendly. The built-in knowledge base w/ AI, when paired with their Human support team, takes a lot of stress out of learning and using new software. It is a very cost-effective platform. I compared Paylocity with other big players in this space, and I am very happy I chose Paylocity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

It takes time to fully implement all the features at first I was a little fustrated with the speed. But in the end, I am glad the implementation pace was slower. The end result is that my HR and payroll data is a lot better and the real time savings is after implementation. Streamlined timesheets, PTO requests, and the intregrations with 401k and benefits are huge for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super Simple Reporting and the Smoothest Onboarding Experience"
4/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

1. The reporting is super simple to create and navigate! If you are using the Report Writer or editing an existing report, it's easy to find the fields you need to report on.

2. Onboarding is the easiest of any platform I've ever used. Once you create your event packets, its a seamless process to onboard. You select the event packet, create/select your employee and fill in all of your information in one spot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

1. Our company is a healthcare organization that has a lot of rehires (sometimes multiple times within a year). We have found that we can use the Adjusted Seniority Date as a field on reports to make sure we have the most recent hire date with running said reports. However, in the Performance module, Adjusted Seniority Date is not an option to filter employees. When we started our Annual Evaluations, we had to manually add 500+ employees to get the reviews assigned to correct employees.

2. Employees can not see their paychecks before payroll is processed. In our previous system, it allowed employees to view their check stubs before payroll was processed. This ensured accuracy with the employees being able to let payroll know if something was incorrect. Now, if something is incorrect (not getting OT/Holiday pay, forgot to input PTO, etc.), it has to be fixed AFTER payroll is ran.

3. The app is VERY limited. If an employee wants to change something, sign something, or really do anything, they have to go to the website. Our employees came from a system where the app was basically the exact same as the website, so that has been an adjustment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Logical, User-Friendly HRIS With Great On-Demand Pay and Tools"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

The system makes logical sense when needing to access certain areas of the system. There are less steps to add an admin user. We love the on demand pay for our team members to have access that feature and has been used a decent amount since going live. The app is very user friendly and gets updates regularly where our previous HRIS the app defects rarely got fixed or took a very long time. Rewards and Recognition is great and learning more about it. The missed punch feature is a game changer for us, previously team member had to fill out a form and now it all can be done through the system. Lastly we utilize the comp tool and our previous HRIS we couldn't use the comp tool, we just finished merit and our VP of IT commented on how user friendly and easy the tool was to use. Lastly I love the knowledge base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

We had an adjustment that the way PTO was displayed in the tool was different than our previous HRIS system so that has caused a bit of a learning curve and frustration from team members that its not more real time, we have physical time clocks and when changing badges it only updates once a day. The time clock and syncing really hurts us for when a new hire starts or someone loses the badge. Bank verifications seem to take longer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Payroll software so far"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

The expense module. Really easy to configure and really easy to understand fro employees and as well for employers.

Everyone is happy about it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

The tiem of waiting on the line. Their support is great but time on the line is crazy sometimes.

Other thing I personally don't like is that you just have 15 min to cancel a ran payroll if you made a mistake, but they offer other solutions, so that would be more convenient but it's fine anyway Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, User-Friendly HR Tool with Lots of Integrations"
4/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

Lots of integrations, and it’s easy to manage and user-friendly. It’s a good fit for an HR team of one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

The workflows are confusing and feel a bit clunky. I’m not able to extract learning reports based on what’s included within a grouping of other trainings. FSA is also a bit wonky, along with COBRA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Paylocity Streamlined Our Admin Processes with Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Paylocity?

Paylocity has streamlined many of our administrative processes, improved overall efficiency, and enhanced the employee experience across the organization. One of the standout aspects is the customer support team, which is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful whenever questions arise. The employee self-service tools are also a major benefit, allowing team members to access pay stubs, tax documents, benefits information, and company communications with ease. It has outperformed any other software that we have used before. The team has been very supportive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paylocity?

The reporting features can be quite complex and difficult to navigate. At times, there’s also a noticeable delay in response from support. The mobile app is useful, but it does have some limitations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
