I also like the ability to call in to Paylocity and get help from an account manager. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** I dislike the random updates that are done without notice. The report writer function could also work better and be easier to navigate. The internal team communication also needs to improve. An example of this is if I am working on a project with our Paylocity benefits person, they should manage the project in its entirety and not expect the client to know they need to communicate parts of the project with the account manager or GL team or any other team within Paylocity. Interdepartment communication and collaboration needs to improve to provied the client an smoother project completion. **What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like that benefits, HR, and Payroll is all available in one system. ### 2. I also find Airbase refer and earn program surprisingly excellent, although I have not had the chance to refer but the referral gift they provide is the best that I have come across in any organization in the industry. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** It would be beneficial if we get an export option in our expense report to export all the past reports in various file formats. **What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Airbase is making reimbursement process smooth especially for the employees with hybrid policy where they need to generate bills from different merchant online and get the approval. It is very useful for tasks such as onboarding, evaluations, entering time in timesheets, processing payroll. All these features and self explanatory and the tutorials work well. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** The features don't always work. For example in evaluations sometimes as a manager I cannot save my comments, although the program says it saved it. When I went back and opened the evaluation, a few pages were not there that I previously saved. There are a few glitches in timesheets, where adding multiple times in and out on timesheet can lead to miscalculation of total time worked. Our agency needed multiple deduction codes setup and customer support was not always knowledgeable and they were not readily available. It took us two weeks to set up two additional codes. **What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can do evaluations online and real-time with supervisees. This gives enoght time and space to think about performance. Payroll reports are great for detecting questions during payroll processing and this makes me feel more confortable with submitting payroll. ### 12. Emails tend to get lost and not answered. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** i have to keep logging in. If I am logged into my ATS, I would prefer it keep me logged into Grayscale. It is less intimidating than other software. It provides a lot of self service options for employees and supervisors. It has many useful optional modules to provide a more complete solution. It has made ACA reporting much more manageable. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** Our implementation team was not able to implement their vacation accrual in exactly the same way it had been implemented in the past so conversion of that data was difficult. But all other data conversion was easy and straight forward. Although Paylocity had the appearance of being easier to use for the persons administering HR & Payroll in actuality there was no magic to eliminate the inherent complexity of all Payroll & Timekeeping applications. During implementation the consultant was not available to be called with a question. All questions had to be emailed or scheduled into a meeting. After GoLive, the account representative is not available for a phone call either and emails receive very poor cycle time response. HOWEVER, if I call and let the next available support resource take my call 99% of the time they can resolve my issue on that call. **What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ease of access by employees for self service of historical pay stubs, W2 information, etc. thereby reducing HR and Payroll resources having to spend time on those requests. Payroll reminder allowing HR to notify Payroll of changes impacting payroll helping to avoid errors in Payroll processing. ACA tracking and reporting of employee benefits coverage for the purpose of generating 1095C's from within Paylocity has allowed our IT/Payroll recources to save 20 hours annually and to find errors and address them sooner instead of all at the end of the year. Payroll reporting cycle time and difficulty has been improved by 60% due to implementation of Paylocity and due to Paylocity's continued improvement of the reporting tools including customizable dynamic reporting. Paylocity's Learning Management System provides a way to provide ongoing training for both existing and new employees for both Paylocity functionality, basic compliance training, and to house and assign our own internally created training as well. ### 22. As a recuiter, texting is often one of the fastest and most reliable ways of getting ahold of potential candidates and I appreciate utilizing Grayscale as a resource. It also minimizes the need to spend countles hours on the phone. I utilize the platform daily in my work and would reccomend it for anyone who utilizes texting as a primary means of communication. I also appreciate the platforms ability to be intergrated with other programs like Greenhouse and how easy it is to inmplement it in my daily routine. Fortunatley, I have not needed to contact customer support for anything, but I do get regular emails from the team and keep them in the back of my mind. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** One thing I do not like is the message quality feature. Often times I have to text candidates my email for them to send me documents and that little pop-up can be annoying sometimes. To pivot off that, I would also like to be able to recieve images on my text line. **What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Grayscale has helped us treamendously in minimizing the amount of turn around when it comes to candidate onboarding. ### 23. The expense management tool is also really nice, simple to use and to customize. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** I think that generally speaking the UI cane use some improvements, however as with any application it takes some time to be able to get it up and running to our needs, as well train proper stakeholders on how to customize the tool to our liking. Typing in each individual mileage transaction is really tedious. Sometimes when resubmitting requests that have been sent back, the button that allows you to resubmit disappears because it appears on a top bar, which disappears when you scroll down and does not reappear when you scroll up. This means that you have to zoom out to 30% visibility to ensure that you don't have to scroll at all. Little annoying things like this pop up from time to time. There also appears to be no mechanism to deduct for a standard daily commute from a mileage transaction, meaning that the default is overpayment for all of our mileage transactions. Paylocity does not seem to experience the same IT/networking issues as some competitors. The mobile app has fairly robust functionality. Employees can request edits to their punches/timecards in a variety of ways, which is a function we did not previously have. Paylocity seems to be constantly pushing out product updates and new features, and they seem to do a good job of beta-testing these features. Our 401(k) integration is flawless and an improvement over our previous HRIS. Uploading .csv batches into payroll is a significant improvement over our previous HRIS. The payroll system has some limitations/quirks, but it prioritizes auditing data, which I appreciate. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** Implementation was a difficult, disorganized process for smaller teams compared to some competitors. Different modules are siloed and have their own processes as far as how implementation is managed (some used the Tasks section on the implementation home screen, others did not). I would not recommend implementing multiple modules simultaneously. I was surprised to see how many Paylocity features require setup/maintenance from their teams - previous systems I've used had more self-service functionality, which I prefer. The interface is often redundant, making providing instructions to employees confusing. The test environment provided needs to include all modules and better testing data. Paylocity reporting is extremely rigid, and their Dynamic reports option does not allow approriate customization or scheduling. They try to format data for you instead of prioritizing flexibility in the data provided. Features such as filtering by exclusion are not available in Dynamic reports. **What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paylocity seems to prioritize efficiency and automation, which I appreciate and our team requires. ### 44. Once a candidate is sent to onboarding, I wish there was still a way to see at least the offer letter so that when I complete my end for onboarding I can reference the offer letter. Also, I would like for it to give you the option to email the candidate / employee through the onboaridng module. There was another suggestion, is that when someone is onboarded and pushed through, you still have to take a few more steps to fully onboard them as they would need to be assigned to the time and labor module as well as to be assigned the hoilday benefit as well as the PTO benefit. This part could be part of the onboarding as the final step or make it another task to complete even if its in the HR&Payroll module as this step can be missed if you are not alerted. I had to learn this on my own. **What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paylocity is solving the management of the taxes and unemployment insurance, benefit administration with file feeds going to our carriers. Very easily you can access support for serious questions about Paylocity, and they do have online guides available. It is easy to build a routine with your team after just a couple months. **What do you dislike about Paylocity?** If you choose to use Paylocity for your company, you will come to find that the platform is very easy to run on a daily basis. Hopefully you and your team are able to schedule a routiune with the system. There are sometimes when the system can get overwhelmed with requests from the user, in those moments the system usally kicks you out of whatever window you are out. And back to the homepage. There are also some aspects of payroll I wish a Paylocity representative would go over with us. When I was first learning how to run payroll with Paylocity there were a lot of moving gears to memorize. I do not believe I ever got connected with a representative, and keep in mind if you or your payroll administrators are not on the contact list for Paylocity Service- they will not respond to you. **What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?** Typicially for a company with bigger employee numbers, if it difficult for office administration to keep track of certain events in an employees timeline. Paylocity gives us a personally crafted ecosystem for us to coordinate promotions, location changes. state-issued withholding orders like child support, and time off tracking. It also helps us keep track of long term changes like minimum wage, ACA compliance, insurance benefits, and tax form distribution. ### 50.
