"Making the HOA easier instead of a second job!"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I appreciate having everything in one place and easy communication both between the board members and with the community we represent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

So far I haven't found anything specific that I dislike. It does cost more than we'd like to pay, but ultimately i think we'll end up saving by eliminating other tools that we already had in place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

"Not being a second job" is exactly the shift we're going for, so it means a lot that consolidating everything and keeping communication easy is already showing up day to day. Handing off cleaner, more standardized processes to the next set of board members is a great side effect too.

On cost, we hear that from boards moving off spreadsheets and other freemium tools, and it usually nets out the way you're describing once those extra tools go away. The time savings are also a massive ROI boost.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community!

"User-Friendly But Needs Tech Improvements"
3.5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I like that PayHOA is an easy-to-use platform. It has a lot of extra features, especially the communication ones. I enjoy using broadcast emails and the ability to send things out by the US Postal Service. These features make it easy for me to communicate with my members and for them to communicate with me, streamlining processes. Moreover, the initial setup of PayHOA was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

Sometimes the technology gets a little wonky. With the updates on the site, what used to be a one or two click process now takes more time. Inputting payments can be a little cumbersome sometimes. The data loads slower and sometimes it's harder for me to insert the amount paid because it's sometimes prepopulated and sometimes it's not. It's not a big thing, but it slows the process down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

Love to hear you're benefiting from streamlined communications!

The slower loads and clunkier payment entry aren't how we want things to feel. We'd love to hear more specifics about what you're running into so we can help solve it. Please reach out to support@payhoa.com when you get a chance.

"Empowers HOA Management with Transparency and Ease"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I find PayHOA really easy to use once it's set up, and I appreciate that you can automate everything in the platform. I think the user interface is intuitive and easy to use. I like collecting fees automatically from our members and the automatic labeling of expenses, which significantly reduces the manual work required from the administrator. These features save us time and help us manage our finances independently, which is especially important for our small HOA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

I don't like that they have increased their fees year over year in recent years. It was much less expensive when we started using the service. I would like to see more AI used throughout the platform, maybe a chatbot service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

Glad the automatic fee collection and expense labeling are pulling their weight for you. Less manual work is a real win when you're running a small HOA on your own.

On pricing, we hear you, those increases go straight back into building out the platform, including more AI. We already have a chatbot live on our website builder, and that same experience is rolling out to the rest of the platform in the coming months, so there's more on that front headed your way soon.

We're here if you ever need anything!

"Efficient HOA Management with Minor Admin Hurdles"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I like that PayHOA makes it easier to see who has paid their dues and who hasn't. It's also easy to track how many dues have been paid and how many are overdue. I enjoy the feature that lets me see the picture of the actual home instead of just the address, which gives me a better idea of its location in the neighborhood. The setup process was pretty simple too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

I think it's a little challenging to change privileges, or at least they aren't easily accessible when you bring on a new board member. Giving them access to more features while they still live in the neighborhood, and now should have admin privileges, is not straightforward. It would be easier if they could keep their account for their home but also have a separate admin account they could access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

Seeing an actual picture of the home instead of just an address is a small touch that makes a real difference for locating people in the neighborhood, glad that's landing well alongside tracking who's paid and who hasn't.

On privileges, you're right that moving a resident into an admin role while they keep their home account can be tricky at times, and it's something we're working on.

"Simplifies HOA Management with Excellent Visibility"
4/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I like how easy it is to monitor everything with PayHOA, and the visibility it offers is key for managing our HOA. The ability for residents to do self and automatic pay is really convenient. The data and analytics features help us quickly identify any issues and create solutions around outstanding items. PayHOA makes it so we don't spend a lot of time managing our HOA anymore. Additionally, the setup was really easy, and our salesperson did a good job walking us through everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

We had an issue with getting bank accounts linked and set up. We weren't aware that we couldn't set up certain bank accounts, so we had to go through our salesperson, and it just took longer and needed more work than we originally were told. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

Monitoring everything with that level of visibility, plus letting residents handle self and auto pay, is a big part of why boards say PayHOA gives them time back. Good to hear your salesperson walked you through setup well, that kind of support matters. Sorry the bank account linking turned into more work than expected, but glad the team got it sorted out for you in the end. Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community.

"Affordable and Easy HOA Management Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I manage dues for our small HOA with PayHOA, and I like that it's easy to use and cost-effective. It gives our small HOA a quick and easy way for our neighbors to pay their monthly dues, and it's saving us money compared to using a large management company. The initial setup was very easy and only took a couple of hours. We switched from a property manager who charged us $350 to do what PayHOA can do for less than $100. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

Nothing. Love it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent For HOA Administration"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

The product makes managing the HOA extremely easy. From a financial perspective, the system is simple enough for bookeeping, yet with enough features that a career accountant can process more complex tasks and reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

None at this time, all of the features that we'd like to use are in place and robust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless HOA Management with PayHOA"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I love that PayHOA solves all the problems we had with managing our HOA, making it possible for me to relax every billing cycle as it handles everything for me. I don't have to worry about sending paper bills or notices anymore. The software does pretty much everything I used to do manually, which is a massive relief. Also, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

I think I would really appreciate the synchronization of bank accounts to be more user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

Carlos, "relaxing every billing cycle" might be the best description of PayHOA we've heard.

On the bank sync side, we use Plaid like most software in this space, and how smooth that feels can depend on your bank. If you're open to it, our integration with Western Alliance Bank is built specifically for associations and tends to make that connection easier. "Streamlines HOA Management With Accurate, Transparent Records"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

This tool streamlines the management of my community’s HOA by keeping records accurate and up to date, while also supporting transparency and accountability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

Some community members aren't tech savvy and doing things offline like paying by check or mailing invoices cost additional fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

Justin, this is exactly why we built PayHOA, so board members can hand over clean, transparent records without the runaround.

Glad to have your community on board!

"Self-Management Made Easy, But Accounting Needs Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I use PayHOA to help with the back office functions of my association. I appreciate that PayHOA brings in dashboard views, account links (including to securities), and a good portal for board members and association members to use. I like that it helps small associations self-manage effectively. Staff made it easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

Accounting is a little weird. The system works best if you use cash accounting. The new features added seem to have a feel that they were vibe coded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

John, thanks for the added detail on the back office side, dashboards, account links, and a portal that works for the whole board and community.

On accounting, we aim to make the system work smoothly for both cash and accrual based associations, so we'd love to hear more about the specific accrual issues you've run into. That helps our product team dig in and might help us point you toward a fix in the meantime. Feel free to reach out to me directly at earl@payhoa.com.

Glad to have your community on board.
