"PayHOA: Perfect for Small Self-Managed Condos—Invoicing, Collections & Budgeting Time Saver"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

PayHOA is the perfect solution for a smaller, self-managed condo association like ours that provides invoicing, payment collection, transaction reconciliation, budgeting and more capabilities at a reasonable price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

While it's great for invoicing and collection from owners and sending a check to vendors who don't accept cards, It's more of a pain dealing with reimbursements to owners. The only option is sending a check if they don't want an account credit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PayHOA Made Our HOA Self-Sufficient - Easy Setup and Great Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

PayHOA was simple to set up and comes with great customer support. It made it very easy for us to get our HOA self-sufficient. They seem to have thought through the necessary features, and the built-in AI help is a nice addition as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

There is no application so the mobile interface is a little bit more difficult to use. I also think the pricing is a little bit on the high side, but comparable to other options and certainly cheaper than a management company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

Jamie, love that PayHOA helped make self-managing feel doable, that's exactly what we aim for when a small HOA is deciding whether to break away from a management company. Glad the setup and support made that leap easier, and good to hear the AI help is pulling its weight too.

On the app front, a dedicated mobile experience is on our roadmap so the day to day gets easier on a phone. And on pricing, it scales with unit count, so cost should track pretty closely with the size of your community. Happy to have support walk through plan options if that's useful.

We're if you ever need anything!

"Streamlined HOA Management with Comprehensive Features"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I really like the fact that PayHOA is multi-user and user friendly, allowing all members of our HOA to access and use it for their needs. Another thing I appreciate is that all bills are paid through the system and recorded, making our financial statements and expenses transparent to all members and users. It's also great that they're continuously adding functionality, like the resource scheduling module for community resources and the ability to hold elections using their voting module for officers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

I find it cumbersome that transactions have to be recorded, approved, and categorized, with some requiring checkboxes to be marked as outside revenue. It might be easier if certain transaction types, like interest from a CD, could be checked for all time once instead of individually each time interest is received. "Efficient for Small HOA, Needs Improved Fund Connectivity"
3.5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I like that PayHOA is an easy way to communicate with the homeowners in our community of 50 homes. Having the emails and being able to relay correspondence collectively or to a few accounts makes it easier to share information whenever we need to communicate as a board. The software helps with our accounts receivable and payables, and it allows homeowners to pay their annual dues through the site, which is helpful. The customer support is also a positive aspect; they are easily accessible and willing to meet for fifteen or thirty minutes to guide you through the process if there are any challenges associated with the website. Additionally, PayHOA provides value as it enables a smooth transition to the next treasurer once I step down from the board, ensuring continuity in managing the finances. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

The biggest issue I've experienced with PayHOA is that it doesn't connect our CD for reserve accounts. It connects our bank accounts and reserve accounts, but the lack of connection with the CD means we don't have full visibility of the monies available in our HOA. Resolving this issue would be very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Time saving HOA tool"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

PayHOA is one stop shop for all my needs on managing HOA community, especially you can send emails and announcements to all the community member easily, also homeowner can see the latest update from payhoa too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

Since now everything comes with AI, I would suggest PayHOA to start integrate with some AI tooling like creating a better announcement or message based on my simple description. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

Thanks for sharing your experience. Making the switch from spreadsheets and Google Groups to a single platform that handles it all is a big step, and we're glad PayHOA has been a good fit for your small community.

As for AI, you're spot on. We've already implemented an AI-powered chatbot ("Penny") for our new website builder to assist homeowners. We're investing significantly in this area, so expect to see a lot more on that front in the coming months. Stuff like AI-powered transaction coding, bank reconciliation, a budget builder, data imports, an admin assistant, etc.

Thanks for being part of of the PayHOA community!

"Comprehensive Solution with Room for Onboarding Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I like that PayHOA is a one-stop shop for everything we need without nickel and diming us for every feature. It's great for collecting payments, tracking financials, budgets, sending announcements, and keeping track of ownership details. The simple login for both board members and homeowners is handy, and having everything centralized minimizes human error. I appreciate that it's very affordable and has a generally clean interface. The bank account linking is a useful feature too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

I think the onboarding process wasn't as white glove as I would have liked it to be. It would be nice if you could easily share your current financials and ownership details. We're doing a lot of coordinating with homeowners who are confused. They could make collecting data and getting homeowners signed up even more streamlined. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient HOA Management with Easy Setup and Engaging Features"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I like that PayHOA allows all of our members to pay their HOA dues, which really helps in lessening the paperwork we have to do for things like fines and violations. The record-keeping capabilities are also quite beneficial, and I appreciate the interactive features that enhance communication between our members and the admins on-site. I find it valuable that members can easily access and check the bylaws through the platform, especially using the AI feature search engine. Setting up PayHOA was extremely easy for our association. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

The mobile version of PayHOA is a bit quirky. On an iPhone, you have to flip the phone different ways to save changes or send emails. It doesn't work well with a phone and is hard to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient HOA Management with PayHOA"
5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

I love the ease of using PayHOA; it’s very easy to use. The system drastically reduces the amount of time to manage tasks, like paying the landscaper, since I can handle everything within PayHOA without needing to go out and mail a check. I appreciate having control as I approve the invoices. Resell documents are a breeze now, saving so much time, and from a record-keeping perspective, everything is centralized in one place. The residents in our neighborhood are happy with it too. Homeowners can log in and see what they owe, their statements, and exactly where our money is going, helping us budget effectively. I particularly like the payment automation system that allows me to issue payments to vendors without hassle. Transitioning from manual processes to PayHOA was very easy; I watched a video, uploaded documents, and everything worked like a charm. I give it a rating of 10 out of 10, which reflects my satisfaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

"Clean, Modern Interface That’s Easy for Boards and Owners"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

The platform is relatively easy to learn for board members and self-managed associations. Owners also find the portal simple to navigate for payments and account access. Day-to-day tasks like posting announcements, managing owner information, and collecting assessments are straightforward.

The interface is clean and modern compared to older HOA software systems. Navigation is intuitive overall, although some accounting workflows could be organized more clearly, especially around chart of accounts setup, equity accounts, and reserve reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

While the platform works well for most daily operations, there are occasional limitations and reporting inconsistencies when handling more complex accounting adjustments. Certain transactions, such as reserve expenses, transfers between accounts, and historical corrections, can sometimes appear in ways that distort financial reports if not carefully configured.

Timing of process checks. Too lengthy. Can take up to 12 days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Earl Laing of PayHOA

Thanks for the thoughtful review, Erika. Our UI/UX team loves your comments on the "clean, modern interface." That's something they work hard for, so it's great to hear that's how PayHOA has felt for your board and your owners. Day-to-day operations being straightforward and the cost savings adding up is exactly what we set out to do for every community we work with, so that is great to see as well.

We hear you on the accounting workflows and check processing timing. Those are real friction points, especially for treasurers, and we've shared the full picture with our product team. If you ever want to walk through specific examples, our support team (support@payhoa.com) is happy to help.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community.

"Affordable, User-Friendly HOA Software with Outstanding Customer Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about PayHOA?

We’ve been very pleased with PayHOA, especially given how affordable it is compared to other HOA management software. The system is a little different from others I’ve used in the past, but it’s still fairly user-friendly. There are a few nuances to learn at first; however, once you understand them, it becomes very intuitive and easy to use. What truly sets PayHOA apart, however, is its outstanding customer support. Liz has been absolutely exceptional. She consistently goes above and beyond to help resolve issues, responds quickly, and takes the time to ensure everything is working correctly. It's rare to find someone so knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely committed to helping customers succeed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

There’s a lag in how quickly reports update after I’ve entered new information. Sometimes I have to log out and log back in before the transaction shows up correctly in the reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
