## PayHOA Reviews
 ### 1. PayHOA Made HOA Management Easy and Organized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melinda D. | Treasurer/Secretary, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

PayHOA has made managing our HOA significantly easier. As a volunteer treasurer with a full-time job, I really value having everything in one place—from dues and financial tracking to homeowner communication and document storage. It’s easy to use, saves time, and helps keep our association organized and running smoothly.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

There hasn’t been much to dislike. Like any software, there was a bit of a learning curve at first, but once everything was set up, it became very straightforward to use.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA has solved one of the biggest challenges our HOA faces: managing the administrative side of the association without requiring a full-time commitment from volunteer board members. By centralizing homeowner information, dues, financial records, architectural requests, documents, and communication in one platform, it has eliminated a lot of manual work and reduced the risk of things slipping through the cracks. As a full-time working professional who also serves as treasurer, PayHOA has made it possible to stay organized, respond to homeowners more efficiently, and manage the association confidently without spending countless hours on administrative tasks.

 ### 2. Streamlined HOA Management with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin S. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like that PayHOA is easy and intuitive to use, making it a one-stop shop for everything we need. I appreciate being able to link deposit transactions to units, upload documents, send messages, and do invoices all in one place. It has significantly cut down on manual processing and streamlined tasks, saving me time. It's also simple to share information with board members or volunteers, as I can easily change their permissions. Furthermore, it keeps everything well organized, which makes handoffs easy when there's turnover in the board or committee members. The initial setup was very easy, and switching from Quicken to PayHOA has brought us more features suitable for our association.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Some features like the amenity request don't really translate to our small association. I also struggle with some of the budget and reports for the finances because we have other accounts that aren't linked, and I don't really know how to include them manually. Because of that, I can't use all of the report features for the finances and then I end up having to do some of that manually.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find PayHOA saves time by cutting manual processing, streamlining tasks, and making it easy to share and manage permissions among board members and volunteers.

 ### 3. Streamlined HOA Management with Real-Time Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony A. | Data Center Capacity Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I really appreciate how PayHOA gives me visibility into everything going on within our HOA. As a treasurer, it's awesome to have transactions, violations, homeowner and property information all in one place. It saves me a lot of time since I no longer need to go through multiple people or manage long email threads like I did with our previous management company. I can just use the dashboard and get the information I need in minutes. Having live transaction visibility is a huge plus; I can see directly what comes out of our account and act quickly if something's not approved by the board. I also love the ability to access direct and up-to-date information, which lets me confidently interact with homeowners. If any contact information is incorrect, I can directly fix it without relying on a third party. Plus, the initial setup was very easy, and the support during the transition was helpful, which made everything quite smooth.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I find the voting experience to be quite basic. It's functional for getting homeowner vote tallies for amendments and other decisions, but it's rudimentary when it comes to filtering out invalid votes. For instance, if homeowners owe a balance at the time of voting closure, it's a very manual process to remove those votes. This feels like something the software should handle automatically rather than requiring us to manually adjust for it.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA gives me visibility into transactions, violations, and property info, all in one place. It saves time and ensures I act on the right information, avoiding the delays and incorrect data problems I had with our previous management company.

 ### 4. Easy-to-Use HOA Management That Saves Time and Money

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark D. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

Easy to use UI. Information is well arranged with key metrics available quickly.
Owner portal allows owners to see their account status, set up auto payments and submit requests or questions.

Broadcast feature keeps owners up to date on issues, reminders and notice of meetings.
The documents feature allows owners access to key HOA documents such as By-Laws, CC&Rs, Meeting minutes and Insurance documents.

Budgeting is simple and the graphics help show the status of expenses and revenues.
Reports are well formatted with many options to see exactly what is happening with finances.

Vendor reports help keep management aware of payables and also to generate 1099s as needed.

We use most all of the features in our self managed association and it makes management simple and efficient and greatly reduces the workload of the board and saves us a lot of money over a management company that scarcely attends to the needs of the association.

Add to that the support from PayHOA that is quick, and helpful and the decision to go with PayHOA makes itself.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

PayHOA is very fully featured. We do not use every feature that it offers but that is because of our particular needs.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What is most useful is the ability to keep on top of finances, accurately account for expenses, budget, automate assessment collection and keep owners informed.

 ### 5. PayHOA Put Us Back in Control—Faster, More Efficient HOA Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DuWayne G. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

We previously used an HOA management company that handled most of the day-to-day items for our HOA, and we were paying almost 20% of our annual budget to them. Since transitioning to PayHOA, we’ve been able to keep that money in our budget and use it for things that actually benefit our residents.

It did take some time to get everything entered, balanced, and running smoothly, but it was absolutely worth the effort. The system has put us back in control of our own finances, regulations, and community operations. Whenever questions have come up, the PayHOA staff has responded quickly.

PayHOA has also created a real-time connection with our residents. In the past, it could take over a month to submit items to our management company and see them acted on. With PayHOA, we sometimes see results in less than a week. Overall, it has significantly reduced the workload we would have had without the PayHOA system.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

The only downside I can think of is how much time it took to onboard everything from our previous HOA Management Company. Learning the site/software was definitely a process, but the time investment ended up being worth the effort. PayHOA also has a multitude of information videos, which made it much easier to understand the platform and implement the different sections of the site.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The PayHOA site allows us (the HOA board) to be proactive instead of simply reactive to any issues that arise in the neighborhood. We have a clearer understanding of "to-do" and actionable items and a simple way (the dashboard) of keeping track of everything. Having PayHOA has definitely reduced our costs and increased our responses to neighborhood needs.

 ### 6. Streamlines HOA Management, But Bank Integration Needs Work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diane W. | Regional Catering Sales Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I appreciate how PayHOA allows me to organize the accounting for costs incurred as well as provides an accounting system for collected HOA dues in an organized fashion. It also lets me update new owners of condos instantly and change and add vendors to the system, which is really useful. Having a professional platform for new owners to view and the ability to organize forms to report to board members in a timely fashion are great features. PayHOA works best with the transition from board members and treasurers. On a scale of one to 10, I would rate the initial setup an eight, which is pretty easy. I am likely to recommend it, giving it a 10 out of 10 in likelihood for recommendation.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

The Plaid system does not interact or interface with our bank account efficiently. It does update from time to time, but sometimes the link is broken, and I have to manually go in and connect the bank account to the HOA bank account from time to time.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find PayHOA helpful for organizing our accounting for costs and HOA dues. We can update condo owners quickly, manage vendor changes, and organize forms for board reporting, ensuring smooth transitions between members and treasurers. EASY TO INPUT ANNUAL BUDGET & compare year over year financials in a professional format.

 ### 7. From Managed to Self-Managed, PayHOA Made the Jump Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua S. | Founder, Digital Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

The feature that has made the biggest difference for us is the ability to send email and text blasts to the entire community. As a self-managed HOA, we rely heavily on our pressurized irrigation system, and when there is a shutoff or maintenance issue, being able to notify every resident immediately has been huge. We have actually gotten compliments from residents thanking us for the transparency and speed of communication, something that was not possible when we were running through a third party management company.

Maintenance requests and architectural committee approvals have also been genuinely useful. Instead of tracking these through email threads, everything comes in through the platform, gets routed appropriately, and there is a clear record of what was requested and approved.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

The main friction point for us is the connection between invoices and payments in PayHOA and the actual records in our bank account. It does not feel fully connected, and reconciling the two takes more consistent attention than we are always able to give it. We are an all volunteer board, everyone has a full time job, and this is a side responsibility, so we are not always going to be on top of it the way a dedicated bookkeeper would be. When we do stay on top of it, it works well and helps keep our balance sheet accurate, but the gap between the platform and our bank is something we notice.

Different board members use PayHOA at very different levels. As the president I am probably the power user, while others mostly just respond to notifications for things like polls or architectural review requests. That has not really been a problem, PayHOA works fine for both types of users, but it is worth noting the platform serves a range of comfort levels reasonably well.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We transitioned from a fully managed HOA to a self-managed one, and PayHOA has been the platform that made that transition realistic. Getting stood up was about as easy as we could have hoped for, largely self-serve, but it also felt like support was there if we needed it. That mattered a lot going from a management company handling everything to an all volunteer board handling everything ourselves.

Before, we struggled with getting timely information out to the community, especially around our pressurized irrigation system, where uptime and availability really matter to residents. Now we can send email and text blasts the moment there is a shutoff or maintenance issue, which has resulted in residents actually thanking us for the transparency and speed of communication. That level of direct communication was not something we had when a third party was managing us.

We also struggled with tracking maintenance requests and architectural committee approvals through scattered email threads. Now everything comes through the platform, gets routed appropriately, and there is a clear record of what was requested and approved, which has cut down significantly on things falling through the cracks.

 ### 8. PayHOA Makes It Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gino D. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like how easy this software makes it to manage the association’s business, including invoicing, tracking, and homeowner information. If I hit a stumbling block, the instant AI works well, and beyond that, the staff at PayHOA will always meet with me by the next day, if not the same day. Overall, the software is straightforward and easy to use. Natalie Jordan and the team at PayHOA are consistently helpful, and they’ve helped me immensely when I’ve needed to figure out issues. The price is reasonable and cost-effective for our needs. I would heartily recommend PayHoA to any business.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I really can't say that there are things I dislike.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA solves billing, homeowner mailings, accounting, budgeting, tracking balances, posting invoices for dues, maintaining homeowner information, and transmitting information to homeowners about events and changes. PayHOA is freeing up my time for other activities like meeting vendors onsite and maintaining the property. I could not do without PayHOA.

 ### 9. PayHOA Made Self-Management Easy and Saved Us $20K a Year

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Coley S. | Execitive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

PayHOA is an easy to use platform. We termintated our property management company a little over two years ago. Since switching and utilizing PayHOA, it has given our community more control over expenses, invoicing, and a better overall approach to community management. We only pay $65 a month, and the tools provided are far superior to anything we were receiving with our management company. Budget creation and tracking, payables, community notices/violations are all rolled into this one platform.

The initial set up took less than two hours, asdie from inputing all of our previous accounting transactions as we switched mid fiscal year. Overall, PayHOA has helped our community save over $20k a year in management fees.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

So far, we have not encountered a downside. The support is responsive, and if they cannot resolve it same day, you receive follow up within 24 hours.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PAyHOA eliminated our need for an outside property management company and accountant. We are able to self manage our community with ease and limited outside support.

 ### 10. PayHOA is a great package to simplify HOA Mgmt

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pat K. | Retired, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

PayHOA has been very helpful, this includes the software and their support. Let me start off by saying their support is "stellar" (and I am a former IT Operations manager overseeing 12,000 Support Agents). The response is quick and they don't give you "half-answers", something that annoys me, because then both the subscriber and PayHOA must waste more time. So it is great that they understand the intent of the questions. Their online support content I would say is "decent." It does sometimes force me to ask for agent support, but not often. The onboarding process was pretty simple, once I got the hang of it (and I am more of a "try it and then fix it if I break it" guy. So, it is pretty intuitive, and again, their support team is very helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to onboard an HOA.

A helpful feature we use this last year was the ability to vote on a special assessment. Our state of Idaho requires us to get a majority vote on special assessments . We needed to do one to replace failing, damaged sidewalks. It's never easy to ask people for money but pay HOA made it super easy to set up the ballot and let people vote, and then tabulate the result. Super easy.

I think the thing I also like is the ability for property owners to submit "requests" back to the board and committees, which allows for a great distribution of labor and response.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I always have a lot of suggestions, so it's not so much a "dislike" but something that would help: The "Request" engagement forms to interact with a requestor are not all that intuitive and terminology does not reflect intended actions. For example, interactions with a requestor should be THE MOST IMPORTANT THING so it should be the most intuitive. The lack of a simple, intuitive user experience and interface has caused some dropped balls. I don't want to put a heavy weight to this issue, but it is the one thing that was most troubling for me, and then, every single committee member has stumbled on this, and we have to keep having training on it (which says, it is not intuitive enough, in my opinion). Reach out if you would like me to explain this more, altho I have shared feedback about this with their support team.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving our board members better control, visibility and engagement with our property owners. Enabling is to invoice property owners and track their payments. It's especially nice if they can pay directly in the application. In our case we chose to absorb the fees for Bank transactions , but let the property owners pay for credit card transaction fees. Overall it makes cap payments very easy.

 ### 11. All-in-One HOA Management Tools in One Intuitive Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt C. | Vice President, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

PayHOA brings all the necessary tools together in one place, making it possible for homeowners to manage an HOA effectively.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Overall, the interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, but there are a few situations where you have to remember to take an extra step. For example, after issuing a violation, you need to reopen it in order to send it to the homeowner by mail. The main thing that frustrates me as a user is the delay in sending paper letters or reports—10 days to 2 weeks is simply too long in many cases.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Without PayHOA, we would have to hire a management company at significant expense to handle our small-to-medium-sized HOA (about 60 homes). That added cost would likely also mean giving up some level of control and discretion. With PayHOA, we as homeowners can manage our own HOA ourselves at a reasonable price.

 ### 12. Simplified HOA Finances with an Easy Interface and Helpful Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitch R. | Systems Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

PayHOA greatly simplifies our homeowner association's financial management process. We used QuickBooks in the past, but it was overengineered and complicated for what we needed. It also limited who could serve on the board as the Treasurer. PayHOA is a much simpler interface that anyone on our board can use to manage finances or create reports. I also appreciate that the PayHOA team assigns someone who helped get us up and running.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

PayHOA provides a solid foundation, but is still building its platform to full functionality. On the plus side, there are lots of updates and new features arriving all the time. On the downside, sometimes adding one feature has broken another or changes where to find something.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA gives us a much simpler and user-friendly interface for the level of sophistication that homeowner association financials require. It also gives us a way to manage maintenance requests, a central repository for documents, and simplifies our homeowner closing process.

**Official Response from Earl Laing:**

> Thanks for the review, Mitch.

We're glad PayHOA gave your board a simpler alternative to QuickBooks, especially for managing the Treasurer role and reporting. Great to hear our onboarding team helped get you up and running smoothly.

As a systems engineer, you probably understand better than most that building a platform means constant iteration, and new features can sometimes shift things around or introduce hiccups. We're working hard to tighten that process, so updates cause fewer breakages over time.
Thanks for your patience as we continue to push to make PayHOA better. Feel free to share specifics on what's breaking or what you'd like to see next.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community!

 ### 13. Great Value and Support That Makes HOA Management Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Love M. | Storage Engineer/Professional Services Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

Here's a polished review you can use:

What I like most about PayHOA is the exceptional value it provides for the cost. The platform offers a robust set of features that make managing our HOA significantly easier, from financial tracking and reporting to homeowner communications and document management. Compared to other HOA management solutions, PayHOA delivers a tremendous amount of functionality at a very reasonable price point.

Another standout feature is the customer support. The PayHOA team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping their customers succeed. Whenever we've had questions or needed assistance, support has been quick to respond and provide clear, helpful guidance. Their dedication to customer service, combined with the platform's ease of use and affordability, makes PayHOA an excellent choice for HOA management.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

There is very little to dislike about PayHOA. If I had to identify an area for improvement, it would be the reporting capabilities, AI, and automation of reports. While the system provides the reports needed for day-to-day HOA management, some reports are somewhat rigid and offer limited customization options. Additional flexibility, advanced filtering, and more robust ad hoc reporting would make it even easier to analyze data and generate board-specific insights.

That said, PayHOA continues to enhance the platform, and the overall value, ease of use, and customer support far outweigh this minor limitation.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA has centralized many of our HOA's critical functions into a single, easy-to-use platform. It has simplified financial management, homeowner communications, document storage, architectural review tracking, and record keeping, eliminating the need for multiple systems and manual processes. This has improved transparency, increased efficiency, and reduced the administrative burden on our volunteer board members.

The platform also provides homeowners with convenient access to important documents, account information, and community updates, resulting in better communication and engagement. As a self-managed association, PayHOA has helped us operate more professionally while keeping costs under control, delivering significant value for both the board and the community.

**Official Response from Earl Laing:**

> Hi Love, Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review. We're really glad PayHOA has helped centralize so many of your community's critical functions, from financial management and architectural review tracking to homeowner communications and document storage. Hearing that it's reduced the administrative burden on your volunteer board, and that our support team has been responsive along the way, is exactly the kind of impact we hope to have.

Regarding reporting...more flexibility, customization, and ad hoc reporting are areas we know matter to boards, and we've passed your input along to our product team. Specifically on AI and automation, we've got a lot of exciting developments on the way.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community.

 ### 14. PayHOA Made Our HOA Self-Sufficient - Easy Setup and Great Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie S. | HOA Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

PayHOA was simple to set up and comes with great customer support. It made it very easy for us to get our HOA self-sufficient. They seem to have thought through the necessary features, and the built-in AI help is a nice addition as well.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

There is no application so the mobile interface is a little bit more difficult to use. I also think the pricing is a little bit on the high side, but comparable to other options and certainly cheaper than a management company.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a small HOA and it is allowing us to self-manage rather than hire a third party manager. It also has helpful add ons like taxes that make our lives easy.

 ### 15. Efficient HOA Management with Easy Setup and Engaging Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** tony s. | Delivery Driver, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like that PayHOA allows all of our members to pay their HOA dues, which really helps in lessening the paperwork we have to do for things like fines and violations. The record-keeping capabilities are also quite beneficial, and I appreciate the interactive features that enhance communication between our members and the admins on-site. I find it valuable that members can easily access and check the bylaws through the platform, especially using the AI feature search engine. Setting up PayHOA was extremely easy for our association.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

The mobile version of PayHOA is a bit quirky. On an iPhone, you have to flip the phone different ways to save changes or send emails. It doesn't work well with a phone and is hard to navigate.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We find that PayHOA lets our members easily pay dues, reduces paperwork, and allows us to handle fines and violations. It also supports our record-keeping and enables easy access to bylaws with the AI search engine, smoothing our processes.

 ### 16. Efficient HOA Management with PayHOA

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marista U. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I love the ease of using PayHOA; it’s very easy to use. The system drastically reduces the amount of time to manage tasks, like paying the landscaper, since I can handle everything within PayHOA without needing to go out and mail a check. I appreciate having control as I approve the invoices. Resell documents are a breeze now, saving so much time, and from a record-keeping perspective, everything is centralized in one place. The residents in our neighborhood are happy with it too. Homeowners can log in and see what they owe, their statements, and exactly where our money is going, helping us budget effectively. I particularly like the payment automation system that allows me to issue payments to vendors without hassle. Transitioning from manual processes to PayHOA was very easy; I watched a video, uploaded documents, and everything worked like a charm. I give it a rating of 10 out of 10, which reflects my satisfaction.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Ease of use. We are fully automated.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find that PayHOA drastically reduces the time needed for tasks like paying vendors and handling HOA assessments. It streamlines everything for me with ease of use, automating payments while letting me retain control over approvals. Everything is centralized for my better record-keeping, and reselling documents are now a breeze for me.

 ### 17. Clean, Modern Interface That’s Easy for Boards and Owners

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erika O. | Treasurer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

The platform is relatively easy to learn for board members and self-managed associations. Owners also find the portal simple to navigate for payments and account access. Day-to-day tasks like posting announcements, managing owner information, and collecting assessments are straightforward.
The interface is clean and modern compared to older HOA software systems. Navigation is intuitive overall, although some accounting workflows could be organized more clearly, especially around chart of accounts setup, equity accounts, and reserve reporting.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

While the platform works well for most daily operations, there are occasional limitations and reporting inconsistencies when handling more complex accounting adjustments. Certain transactions, such as reserve expenses, transfers between accounts, and historical corrections, can sometimes appear in ways that distort financial reports if not carefully configured.
Timing of process checks. Too lengthy. Can take up to 12 days.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small HOA community that was paying high fees for property management but was still required to do a lot of the work. PayHOA helped to reduce our costs substantially allowing us to get other services for our community.

**Official Response from Earl Laing:**

> Thanks for the thoughtful review, Erika. Our UI/UX team loves your comments on the "clean, modern interface." That's something they work hard for, so it's great to hear that's how PayHOA has felt for your board and your owners. Day-to-day operations being straightforward and the cost savings adding up is exactly what we set out to do for every community we work with, so that is great to see as well.

We hear you on the accounting workflows and check processing timing. Those are real friction points, especially for treasurers, and we've shared the full picture with our product team. If you ever want to walk through specific examples, our support team (support@payhoa.com) is happy to help.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community.

 ### 18. Affordable, User-Friendly HOA Software with Outstanding Customer Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

We’ve been very pleased with PayHOA, especially given how affordable it is compared to other HOA management software. The system is a little different from others I’ve used in the past, but it’s still fairly user-friendly. There are a few nuances to learn at first; however, once you understand them, it becomes very intuitive and easy to use. What truly sets PayHOA apart, however, is its outstanding customer support. Liz has been absolutely exceptional. She consistently goes above and beyond to help resolve issues, responds quickly, and takes the time to ensure everything is working correctly. It's rare to find someone so knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely committed to helping customers succeed.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

There’s a lag in how quickly reports update after I’ve entered new information. Sometimes I have to log out and log back in before the transaction shows up correctly in the reports.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we decided to take over management of our small HOA, we needed software that was intuitive and cost-effective, yet still strong enough to help us prepare clear, well-defined monthly financial reports.

 ### 19. Intuitive, Secure, and Supportive—The All-in-One HOA Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

PayHOA is the management solution that we have been looking for. The user interface is very intuitive. PayHOA customer support is very responsive by way of phone and email. They also provide a great AI help chat. The communication piece provides instant push messages by way of phone, text and email. Our data is accessed by way of a secure web site. We also use the PayHOA Weebly website builder.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

There is no payroll module with PayHOA. Payroll would make PayHOA truly one-stop-shopping. We decided to go with ADP for payroll.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA has enabled us to communicate with our members via individual owner portals, and email, text, and phone messaging. Invoicing, payables, and banking can all be done through PayHOA. We also built a website through a PayHOA Weebly site. Our board of directors and members have been very happy with PayHOA so far. We enrolled late in the summer of 2025, and the transition has taken several months. PayHOA support has been there with us every step of the way to help us in our transition. We also use Western Alliance Bank through PayHOA. Fund transfers are a breeze, but we have experienced problems with account interest being properly calculated.

**Official Response from Earl Laing:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here (and on Capterra). We really appreciate you spreading the word.

We're glad PayHOA has been the solution your board was looking for, and that our support team has been there every step of the way during your transition. It's great to hear your board and members are happy with the platform.

The feedback on payroll is noted. It's not something we offer today, but it's helpful to know where you'd like to see us grow.

Thanks for being part of the PayHOA community.

 ### 20. Efficient and Accurate Payment Tracking

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I really like PayHOA for its ability to help me keep track of deposits, which simplifies managing roughly 50 deposits every month and ensures all payments have been received on a timely basis. The reporting mechanism stands out as a significant feature, making tasks like taxes and account reconciliation much more straightforward by allowing me to check which payments have been made by unit. Additionally, sending out invoices is a breeze with PayHOA. I can send invoices to all 36 units at once, even if each unit has a different amount, and it's still simple. I find it to be a major time saver, especially with the ability to send invoices and messages via email to all the individual units. It's also nice to have a database with all of our owners and their contact information, so I never have to look up emails because they're all right there in the system for me, saving me time. Overall, the accuracy and time-saving features make PayHOA invaluable for our condo association.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Not applicable

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PayHOA to track 50 monthly deposits, ensure timely payments, and send customized invoices efficiently. It saves time, offers accurate reports, and provides easy access to owner contact info, making my admin tasks much simpler.

 ### 21. Centralized HOA Management with Strong Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like that PayHOA allows us to handle invoicing directly through the software. It's also great to keep track of communications we send out, including seeing if emails have been received, opened, and if links within them have been clicked. The new voting feature is pretty good too, letting us vote for board members or changes to our CC& Rs. Another thing I appreciate is the ability to store key documents all in one central location, making administration tasks much more manageable. We had great support from the software provider, and the initial setup was fairly easy.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I'd like better integration with Gmail. Right now, it would be nice if we could actually use Gmail and have it integrated more tightly with PayHOA so we don't have a separate window to have to create and send emails

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PayHOA for our HOA administration. It handles invoicing, communication, voting, and document storage all in one place, making it easier for us. It also lets us track email engagements to see if people receive, open, or click on them.

**Official Response from Earl Laing:**

> We're glad PayHOA is helping you manage your HOA without the cost of an outside provider, and that the invoicing, communication, and payment tracking are working well for you.

We appreciate the feedback on setting up different payment schedules too. We'll pass that along to our product team.

Thanks for choosing PayHOA, and for the review!

 ### 22. Designed specifically for HOAs but Slow Support and Outdated AI Help

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like that it is designed specifically for HOAs. I like that you can see who has seen and read emails.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

The customer support is slow and non responsive - several times I have had to wait days for a simple question.. The AI assistant is out of date (like, it will say "click on this button" but the program has been changed and that button doesn't exist anymore). The third party they use for payments to vendors takes weeks before the vendor receives money. The maintenance requests are not easy to review or prioritize or update. The system does not allow for autopay to be assigned to a specific unit. The system does not correctly report items on the reports if the invoice date and payment date are not in the same month. We would like more options on reporting and accounting. For example, we would like to be able to have a main/operating account and reserve/savings accounts. But we need the option to combine or separate those on reports. Typically the main account is budgeted and the reserve is not.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business started using PayHOA before I started. So I don't have a comparison to "before"

 ### 23. A Lifesaver for HOA Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly P. | VP of People & Investor Relations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like PayHOA because it's incredibly easy to use and streamlines everything, which saves a lot of money by not having to outsource accounting. The accounting features are just as good as QuickBooks, but even better since they're tailored towards HOAs. The onboarding specialist makes the setup process really simple and it doesn't take much time, and they even offer an accountant for doing taxes at the end of the year for an extra fee, which makes it really easy as well.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I would not change anything about PayHoa.. it has exceeded my expectations.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA simplifies accounting tasks for my dad's owner-managed HOA, saving money by not needing to outsource. It's as good as QuickBooks but tailored for HOAs. The onboarding specialist made setup easy, and the platform is user-friendly enough for my dad, who has no accounting background. It also increased the cash balance because the platform makes on-time payments so easy, they now have everyone paying automatically through the platform.

 ### 24. An intuitive dashboard that works for all; Voting workflows that streamline decisions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I think the voting workflow (which we just recently discovered/enabled) is the most useful way for our board to formalize decisions. Its also useful to look up info and history on homes/homeowners when needed. The dashboard is pretty intuitive so most board members can navigate.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

For some older board members the features may be more overwhelming. For the violations, I wish I could create an automated workflow based on the votes so that once majority (4+ of 7) is achieved, it would automatically approve or complete the workflow. I also don't like that for some reason my wife (who isn't a board member) continues to get HOA email notifications which is drama that's none of her business as a she isn't on the board. Probably a setting since she lives at same address as me but I haven't figured out how to prevent this.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidation of data is the biggest benefit, I believe. It puts the income (dues payments) in the same hub as violations and architectural requests. the best benefit is not having to use multiple platforms bc PayHOA puts them all into 1. If it could integrate the board's emails/text chains that would be even more beneficial

 ### 25. Efficient HOA Management with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chapmans F. | Offshore Operational Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like that with PayHOA, payments are made online, so we no longer have to actually go to the bank to make payments. The accounting and invoicing features are really valuable because they help us generate and collect our annual dues efficiently. We're able to keep track of everything that's being spent, and multiple board members can log in to see where we stand financially. The initial setup was relatively simple; we were able to download files in CSV format and easily export them, and it even added a picture of each house for more clarity. Now, we can see not only where the payments are going but also what the house looks like.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I find the ability to merge names when sending bills is lacking because I have to choose either the main person, primary householder, or the secondary. It would be nice if they can merge that. I also think the website builder needs modernization to look more up-to-date, as it currently feels very basic and reminiscent of the 1990s.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA automated our billing, moving us from paper to online. It's nice for billing dues, offering multiple payment options, and lets homeowners see their dues status. We track requests and manage accounting easier, with the board clearly understanding our finances.

 ### 26. Easy HOA Management, Cost-Saving Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I really appreciate how PayHOA makes it easy for our small homeowner association to manage itself without needing to pay for a professional manager. It saves us a lot of money by not having to pay $700 a month for a property management firm to handle our finances and business filings. Additionally, the platform takes care of collecting dues, paying vendor expenses, and even filing tax reports all within the system. I find it really easy to use, and it meets all our needs since our organization is small. The initial setup was very easy, with a user-friendly process that guided me through.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I have no dislikes

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PayHOA to manage homeowner association dues, vendor payments, bills, and communications. It simplifies management tasks, eliminating the need for costly property managers, thus saving us a lot of money. It's easy to use and beneficial for our small association's self-management.

 ### 27. Automation and Transparency Made Easy with PayHOA

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ralph C. | Senior Business Element Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I really like PayHOA for its ease of setup; I was able to batch-load information quickly even during the demo period, which impressed me enough to enroll our HOA. The software automates the invoicing and collection processes, alleviating the need for manual tasks. I also appreciate the automation of these processes and the transparency it provides for our residents, making financials clearer. The continuous addition of features that ease the administration tasks is also a big plus. Providing residents access to their own unit information and our overall financials is beneficial, even though most rely on AutoPay for dues.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I sometimes mess up journal entries and have to re-enter them because I forget which entries to make credits and which entries to make debits, but it's easy to fix it.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA automates invoicing and payment collection, eliminating manual processes. It provides transparency for residents, which I appreciate.

 ### 28. Consolidates Tasks Efficiently But Needs Better Usability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam H. | Graphic Designer/Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like that PayHOA consolidates a lot of fragmented tasks into one platform, making it a one-stop shop instead of having dozens of spreadsheets. It replaces a patchwork of scattered tools, like Excel sheets, personal email threads, and paper forms, with a singular automated workflow that cuts down on manual administrative labor. For me, I logged in and it just worked.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I find PayHOA's lightweight accounting system to be a bit restrictive at times. Syncing live bank feeds occasionally presents hiccups too. Additionally, non tech-savvy residents can get confused easily with its interface. I think it would help if it used more colloquial language like 'HOA dues' and 'processing fee' instead of the more complex terms it sometimes uses.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PayHOA to manage our HOA, making it easy to track past-due members and store documents. It consolidates fragmented tasks into one platform, reducing manual labor.

 ### 29. PayHOA Delivered Fast, Affordable HOA Billing With Robust Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marty B. | Webmaster, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

PayHOA met the needs of our 73-home HOA at an affordable price when we needed a new billing system within six weeks. We were able to import most of the homeowner and fiscal data from the previous fiscal year and have automatic billing ready in just a few weeks. Some manual entry was still required, but it only took a few hours total to complete 12 months of data. Security permissions are also robust.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

The website builder isn’t able to publish links to documents that we want to make available to the general public without requiring a secure login.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA allowed us to avoid the cost and time of using QuickBooks Online and Network Solutions web hosting by providing a single solution that replaced both. It also added capabilities we didn’t have before, including mass communication, online payments, and architectural review management.

**Official Response from Earl Laing:**

> Marty, getting a 73-home HOA live with a year of imported data in a six-week window is a tight turnaround, and we're glad PayHOA held up. The security permissions call-out means a lot too. That side of things gets a lot of attention from us behind the scenes.

On the website builder feedback, you're right. Requiring a secure login for document access was an intentional choice in the initial build of that feature. That said, public-facing document links are already on our product team's radar with logged feature requests, and feedback from a webmaster on this one helps make the case.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community!

 ### 30. Intuitive and Accurate, But Needs Better Communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I really like the ease of use that PayHOA offers. Running reports is very intuitive and easy to use, which makes sharing information simple. The initial setup was extremely easy; it only took a couple of hours. I also appreciate the accuracy of their reports, which is why we switched to PayHOA.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

The problem we have is that every once in a while it's difficult to get communication if there is a problem with the system. I wish there was an easier way to contact the team to help us resolve issues quicker. Contacting PayHOA can be difficult at times.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use PayHOA to manage our HOA's annual and monthly budgets and financial statements. It lets all HOA members know the financial status at any point without asking the board. The accuracy of reports and ease of use for running and sharing them are great.

**Official Response from Earl Laing:**

> Thanks for the review, Peter.

We're glad the ease of use, fast setup, and report accuracy have made the switch worth it, especially giving your HOA members visibility into finances without going through the board every time.

Regarding the communication issues you mentioned, the chat icon in the bottom-left corner when you're logged into the platform is a direct line to our support team. It connects you to live chat or phone during business hours, and email after hours, so it should get you a faster response than other channels. We take a lot of pride in our world-class customer support, so if you continue to struggle to get in touch with us for any reason, you can reach out to us directly at support@payhoa.com.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community!

 ### 31. Real-Time HOA Finances, Dues Tracking, and Easy Voting.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean-Paul O. | Treasurer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

This software helps us keep track of homeowners’ dues, including who has paid and who is delinquent. It also makes it easy to track expenses, so everyone can see our finances in real time. We also use it for Architectural Requests and voting, which has been great.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Adding a new category to transactions isn’t very straightforward. I also wish there were an option to receive and archive emails, rather than only being able to send them.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast outgoing communication when there are pool issues, road work etc... Also keeping finances visible to everyone so we can keep within our budget.

 ### 32. Full HOA Management Suite with Powerful Communication Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan L. | Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

It provides a full suite of tools for connecting with our HOA members, tracking billables, centralizing documents, and supporting convenient online voting.

As the HOA President, I frequently use the communication tools to send emails and texts, which helps keep our members informed about ongoing issues.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I find the email editing interface to be a bit confusing, I've accidently deleted draft emails a couple of times.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It replaced the property management firm that used to handle our billing, and it’s saving our small HOA (26 units) a significant amount on our annual dues.

 ### 33. Streamlined HOA Management but Needs Clearer Fees

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zach W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like that PayHOA is an easy place for members to pay online. It's also great for managing requests for maintenance and having all questions in one place. I find it easy to track and follow-up with HOA members to complete problems. The initial setup was fairly easy, and having an account manager at the beginning was nice.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I find it frustrating that there's a convenience fee for paying online sometimes, and then sometimes there isn't, which is confusing. Also, their accounting software could be a little easier to use.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PayHOA to manage our commercial and residential HOA. It's an easy place for members to pay online, manage maintenance requests, and track all questions in one place, making it easier to follow-up with members.

 ### 34. PayHOA Streamlines Financial Tasks and Homeowner Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

PayHOA’s financial tools have made annual dues collection, budget development and expense tracking far more efficient than our previous methods. These tools clearly have made the Treasurer’s job much more manageable, while also allowing the budgeting process to be far mor collaborative.
The request tools have greatly improved our process for home owners to submit special requests such as Architectural Committee Review and Reimbursement Requests. This process is simple, but provides excellent tracking of all submissions and their current status.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

There isn't anything I don't like, but there is a small learning curve for new Board members to familarize themselves with the software.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has greatly reduced the time required for the volunteer Board member to complete their duties and dramatically improved traceability and record keeping.

 ### 35. Fully Integrated Management of Information

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan W. | POA President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I can see all the activity that I want. If I want calendar, I go to calendar and look at events. If I want to see payments and charges, I go there. It is a great resource to get information quickly.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I wish there were an app that some of our board members could use.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have access to information quickly, and our residents can manage their own information. It gives us a portal to post information to them and makes the whole process a little more transparent.

 ### 36. Easy-to-Use and Transparent HOA Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** J. Robert B. | HOA President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2025

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Nothing at this time.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PayHOA for managing homeowner accounts and archiving documents. It helps track homeowner payments and offers an easy-to-use document sharing feature, providing transparency and access to our HOA documents.

 ### 37. Accessible, Great UX, and Unbeatable Value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad G. | Vice President for Marketing and Communications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

It’s very accessible, and the UX is great. You also can’t beat the price compared with what we were doing before, when we were using a management company.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I don't have much negative feedback. The onboarding was the trickiest part but even that was quite simple.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were having a miserable time with our management companies, and PayHOA has made the switch to self-management very easy. We haven’t run into any major issues, and now almost all of our processes go through PayHOA.

 ### 38. Efficient HOA Management with Minor Support Delays

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I use PayHOA for managing homeowner association activities, and it really helps with bookkeeping and record keeping of owners. It's convenient having everything in one place because I don't have to keep separate records for bookkeeping, invoicing, contact information, and construction applications. The software has made life easier despite some issues, which were ultimately resolved. The initial setup was fairly easy too.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Sometimes getting help with a problem takes a little more time than I would like it to.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PayHOA for managing homeowner association activities, helping with bookkeeping and record keeping of owners. It makes life easier by having everything in one place, so I don't need separate records for bookkeeping, contact information, invoicing, and construction applications.

 ### 39. PAYHOA Saves Us Nearly $35k Annually & Streamlines HOA Records

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

Easy access to records and customer information and has saved our HOA $35-38k annually allowing us to build our reserves and take care of projects that had been deferred due to lack of funds.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Only hiccup is I wish the email broadcast app was a bit more robust but for amount we are saving by eliminating SignNow, MailChimp and other monthly tools it has been worth combining these tools with PAYHOA to streamline and gave everything in one location.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having record keeping in one location has made a big difference for us. We were able to eliminate a management company, save thousands, and automate many tasks—like sending invoices, emailing newsletters, tracking ARC requests, and more—all from the same place.

 ### 40. Very good HOA Owner Management withTagging for easy selective Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larry S. | Retired Chairman, CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

It is easy to manage HOA owners and to communicate with them on things of community interest. I especially like the Tagging feature.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Price to mail letters and process payment of annual dues is very good but services for mailing and payment processing are on opposite coast from us so USPS struggles with unreasonable time delays sometimes.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are open to ideas to improve software and do continue to improve with enhancements. They track reported software issues and get them resolved.

 ### 41. Making the HOA easier instead of a second job!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I appreciate having everything in one place and easy communication both between the board members and with the community we represent.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

So far I haven't found anything specific that I dislike. It does cost more than we'd like to pay, but ultimately i think we'll end up saving by eliminating other tools that we already had in place.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have multiple members, myself included, taking over our hoa responsibilities from an older generation. This has been a chance for us to eliminate some redundancies, make it easier for us to manage with busy schedules, and create some standardization that will make it easier to pass along to the next set of board members.

 ### 42. User-Friendly But Needs Tech Improvements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like that PayHOA is an easy-to-use platform. It has a lot of extra features, especially the communication ones. I enjoy using broadcast emails and the ability to send things out by the US Postal Service. These features make it easy for me to communicate with my members and for them to communicate with me, streamlining processes. Moreover, the initial setup of PayHOA was very easy.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Sometimes the technology gets a little wonky. With the updates on the site, what used to be a one or two click process now takes more time. Inputting payments can be a little cumbersome sometimes. The data loads slower and sometimes it's harder for me to insert the amount paid because it's sometimes prepopulated and sometimes it's not. It's not a big thing, but it slows the process down.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PayHOA lets me easily process monthly assessments and has communication features that streamline interactions with my members.

 ### 43. Empowers HOA Management with Transparency and Ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I find PayHOA really easy to use once it's set up, and I appreciate that you can automate everything in the platform. I think the user interface is intuitive and easy to use. I like collecting fees automatically from our members and the automatic labeling of expenses, which significantly reduces the manual work required from the administrator. These features save us time and help us manage our finances independently, which is especially important for our small HOA.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I don't like that they have increased their fees year over year in recent years. It was much less expensive when we started using the service. I would like to see more AI used throughout the platform, maybe a chatbot service.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use PayHOA to manage our HOA's fees and track expenses independently, providing transparency and control over finances without relying on a management company. It's easy to use, automates tasks, saves time, and helps collect fees without extra overhead.

 ### 44. Efficient HOA Management with Minor Admin Hurdles

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like that PayHOA makes it easier to see who has paid their dues and who hasn't. It's also easy to track how many dues have been paid and how many are overdue. I enjoy the feature that lets me see the picture of the actual home instead of just the address, which gives me a better idea of its location in the neighborhood. The setup process was pretty simple too.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

I think it's a little challenging to change privileges, or at least they aren't easily accessible when you bring on a new board member. Giving them access to more features while they still live in the neighborhood, and now should have admin privileges, is not straightforward. It would be easier if they could keep their account for their home but also have a separate admin account they could access.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find PayHOA makes it easier to see who has paid their dues and who hasn't, helping manage overdue notifications. I also like that it displays pictures of homes, not just addresses, so we can better locate them in the neighborhood.

 ### 45. Simplifies HOA Management with Excellent Visibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I like how easy it is to monitor everything with PayHOA, and the visibility it offers is key for managing our HOA. The ability for residents to do self and automatic pay is really convenient. The data and analytics features help us quickly identify any issues and create solutions around outstanding items. PayHOA makes it so we don't spend a lot of time managing our HOA anymore. Additionally, the setup was really easy, and our salesperson did a good job walking us through everything.

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

We had an issue with getting bank accounts linked and set up. We weren't aware that we couldn't set up certain bank accounts, so we had to go through our salesperson, and it just took longer and needed more work than we originally were told.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use PayHOA to manage our HOA, making it easy to monitor everything with great visibility. It handles resident payments, vendor payments, and provides a quick view of our finances. It saves time by quickly identifying and solving outstanding issues.

This tool streamlines the management of my community’s HOA by keeping records accurate and up to date, while also supporting transparency and accountability.

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ensuring we're on top of delinquent homeowners by providing transparency and accurate records. This save a s lot of time and makes it easy to provide our lawyers accurate records

 ### 48. Easy to use, Excellent Technical Support, Efficient HOA Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2026

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

Platform is easy to use, Excellent Technical Support, Efficient HOA Platform for a small (45 homes in our community) Self managed Community, good value of money based on the features provided by the payHOA Software Platform

**What do you dislike about PayHOA?**

Certain Available Features are hard to find- example creating a template for Violation, had to navigate through the Software to figure out on how to create a Template, Voting Ballot Description Text box should have formatting capabilities, finding calendar (Events) is not very intuitive, needs to be the one of the easily available option on the left side bar, I don't seem to see an electronic payment option to the HOA Vendor, wish there was one, if there is one I am not able to find it

**What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to manage our small HOA Community

**Official Response from Earl Laing:**

> Thanks for the great review. We're glad PayHOA has been easy to use and a good value for your community, and that our support team has been there when you needed it. We're biased, but they're the best.

Your feedback on user experience and findability is really helpful, and we've passed this along to our product team. On electronic vendor payments, that's something we're actively building, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, our Knowledge Base (intercom.help/payhoa) walks through templates, and many other features at your own pace, and our support team (support@payhoa.com) is happy to point you to anything that's tricky to find.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community!

 ### 49. Self-Management Made Easy, But Accounting Needs Improvement

**What do you like best about PayHOA?**

I use PayHOA to help with the back office functions of my association. I appreciate that PayHOA brings in dashboard views, account links (including to securities), and a good portal for board members and association members to use. I like that it helps small associations self-manage effectively. Staff made it easy.

Accounting is a little weird. The system works best if you use cash accounting. The new features added seem to have a feel that they were vibe coded.
