"PayHOA Makes It Easy"

5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

I like how easy this software makes it to manage the association’s business, including invoicing, tracking, and homeowner information. If I hit a stumbling block, the instant AI works well, and beyond that, the staff at PayHOA will always meet with me by the next day, if not the same day. Overall, the software is straightforward and easy to use. Natalie Jordan and the team at PayHOA are consistently helpful, and they’ve helped me immensely when I’ve needed to figure out issues. The price is reasonable and cost-effective for our needs. I would heartily recommend PayHoA to any business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

I really can't say that there are things I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?

PayHOA solves billing, homeowner mailings, accounting, budgeting, tracking balances, posting invoices for dues, maintaining homeowner information, and transmitting information to homeowners about events and changes. PayHOA is freeing up my time for other activities like meeting vendors onsite and maintaining the property. I could not do without PayHOA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Gino, having both the software and support in your corner is the kind of experience every treasurer should get, especially when the team can meet with you by the next day, if not the same day. Glad the AI assist is catching stumbling blocks quickly too, and that pricing has stayed reasonable for what you're getting. We're here if you ever need anything!

"PayHOA Made Self-Management Easy and Saved Us $20K a Year"

5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

PayHOA is an easy to use platform. We termintated our property management company a little over two years ago. Since switching and utilizing PayHOA, it has given our community more control over expenses, invoicing, and a better overall approach to community management. We only pay $65 a month, and the tools provided are far superior to anything we were receiving with our management company. Budget creation and tracking, payables, community notices/violations are all rolled into this one platform.

The initial set up took less than two hours, asdie from inputing all of our previous accounting transactions as we switched mid fiscal year. Overall, PayHOA has helped our community save over $20k a year in management fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

So far, we have not encountered a downside. The support is responsive, and if they cannot resolve it same day, you receive follow up within 24 hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?

PAyHOA eliminated our need for an outside property management company and accountant. We are able to self manage our community with ease and limited outside support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Coley, $20k a year in savings after cutting the property management company is the kind of number that makes this job worth it. Getting there in under two hours of setup, mid fiscal year no less, and still having budgets, payables, and violations all in one place says a lot about what self-management can look like done right. Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community!

"PayHOA is a great package to simplify HOA Mgmt"

5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

PayHOA has been very helpful, this includes the software and their support. Let me start off by saying their support is "stellar" (and I am a former IT Operations manager overseeing 12,000 Support Agents). The response is quick and they don't give you "half-answers", something that annoys me, because then both the subscriber and PayHOA must waste more time. So it is great that they understand the intent of the questions. Their online support content I would say is "decent." It does sometimes force me to ask for agent support, but not often. The onboarding process was pretty simple, once I got the hang of it (and I am more of a "try it and then fix it if I break it" guy. So, it is pretty intuitive, and again, their support team is very helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to onboard an HOA.

A helpful feature we use this last year was the ability to vote on a special assessment. Our state of Idaho requires us to get a majority vote on special assessments . We needed to do one to replace failing, damaged sidewalks. It's never easy to ask people for money but pay HOA made it super easy to set up the ballot and let people vote, and then tabulate the result. Super easy.

I think the thing I also like is the ability for property owners to submit "requests" back to the board and committees, which allows for a great distribution of labor and response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

I always have a lot of suggestions, so it's not so much a "dislike" but something that would help: The "Request" engagement forms to interact with a requestor are not all that intuitive and terminology does not reflect intended actions. For example, interactions with a requestor should be THE MOST IMPORTANT THING so it should be the most intuitive. The lack of a simple, intuitive user experience and interface has caused some dropped balls. I don't want to put a heavy weight to this issue, but it is the one thing that was most troubling for me, and then, every single committee member has stumbled on this, and we have to keep having training on it (which says, it is not intuitive enough, in my opinion). Reach out if you would like me to explain this more, altho I have shared feedback about this with their support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?

Giving our board members better control, visibility and engagement with our property owners. Enabling is to invoice property owners and track their payments. It's especially nice if they can pay directly in the application. In our case we chose to absorb the fees for Bank transactions , but let the property owners pay for credit card transaction fees. Overall it makes cap payments very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pat, this might be the most thorough review we've gotten, and we mean that as the highest compliment. Reviews like this are exactly why we read every one closely instead of skimming. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the time you put into this. It shows 100%.

We're glad the support team lived up to "stellar," and that the special assessment vote for your sidewalk repair went as smoothly as it did, tabulating results shouldn't be the hard part of asking neighbors for money.

We appreciate the detailed feedback on the Request forms and empathize that usability and ease of use should be paramount to the experience with PayHOA. Feel free to reach out to me directly at earl@payhoa.com so I can hear more about what you're running into and get it in front of our support and product teams. At the very least, I can maybe help get it prioritized.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community, and thanks again for the fantastic review!

"All-in-One HOA Management Tools in One Intuitive Platform"

4.5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

PayHOA brings all the necessary tools together in one place, making it possible for homeowners to manage an HOA effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

Overall, the interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, but there are a few situations where you have to remember to take an extra step. For example, after issuing a violation, you need to reopen it in order to send it to the homeowner by mail. The main thing that frustrates me as a user is the delay in sending paper letters or reports—10 days to 2 weeks is simply too long in many cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?

Without PayHOA, we would have to hire a management company at significant expense to handle our small-to-medium-sized HOA (about 60 homes). That added cost would likely also mean giving up some level of control and discretion. With PayHOA, we as homeowners can manage our own HOA ourselves at a reasonable price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

[Editedit](https://www.g2.com/survey_responses/payhoa-review-13175921/official_response/edit)

Managing a community of around 60 homes without hiring a management company, while keeping real control and discretion, is the kind of value PayHOA is built for, so we're glad to hear how well that is going.

On the extra click before mailing a violation, that's actually by design, since mailing costs extra we want it to be a clear choice rather than something that happens automatically.

On timing, first class mailings typically go out in 5 to 8 business days. If you were on the standard mailing option, that estimate runs closer to 2 to 3 weeks, so switching to first class might get you there faster. Happy to have support confirm which option you're on if that'd help.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback!

"Simplified HOA Finances with an Easy Interface and Helpful Onboarding"

4.5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

PayHOA greatly simplifies our homeowner association's financial management process. We used QuickBooks in the past, but it was overengineered and complicated for what we needed. It also limited who could serve on the board as the Treasurer. PayHOA is a much simpler interface that anyone on our board can use to manage finances or create reports. I also appreciate that the PayHOA team assigns someone who helped get us up and running. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

PayHOA provides a solid foundation, but is still building its platform to full functionality. On the plus side, there are lots of updates and new features arriving all the time. On the downside, sometimes adding one feature has broken another or changes where to find something. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?

PayHOA gives us a much simpler and user-friendly interface for the level of sophistication that homeowner association financials require. It also gives us a way to manage maintenance requests, a central repository for documents, and simplifies our homeowner closing process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for the review, Mitch.

We're glad PayHOA gave your board a simpler alternative to QuickBooks, especially for managing the Treasurer role and reporting. Great to hear our onboarding team helped get you up and running smoothly.

As a systems engineer, you probably understand better than most that building a platform means constant iteration, and new features can sometimes shift things around or introduce hiccups. We're working hard to tighten that process, so updates cause fewer breakages over time.

Thanks for your patience as we continue to push to make PayHOA better. Feel free to share specifics on what's breaking or what you'd like to see next.

"Easy to Navigate—Confidently Managing Invoices and Billing from Day One"

5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

Ease of navigability; it is my first day using this software, and I am already logging invoices, creating payables, editing unit info and billing owners with the same confidence that I had only after weeks of practice using other softwares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

I wish there was a quicker, more efficient way to search owners across all of the communities in my portfolio. For example: I am new to this company and have not yet committed all street names & their corresponding communities to memory; therefore, when an email comes in without any information that would identify which HOA they live in, I have to ask my colleagues if they recognize the name or ask the email sender to clarify. "PayHOA: the easiest win a self-managed board can buy"

5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

PayHOA's biggest value is automated dues collection with bank integration and autopay, which removes most of the manual billing and reconciliation work for a self-managed board.

Upsides: low cost with no feature gating across tiers, an easy learning curve for rotating board members, and consolidation of violations, documents, voting, and communications into one platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

Limited customization, where the modules are rigid and configuration options run out fast once you want something beyond the default workflow, and transaction fees, which erode the low subscription price and disproportionately hit smaller associations or specific payment methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are a small HOA with only 11 homes. We cannot afford a property manager and PayHOA has effectively become that for us. Their user support was outstanding in helping me get everything set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PayHOA keeps our Community Connected"

5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

Pay HOA is very user-friendly. It helps keep all your finances organized and accurate. It has saved us a lot of money filing our tax return. It has brought our community closer together. Can’t imagine our Cabin community without pay HOA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

Of course, we would always like the cost to be less, but, to be honest, it is worth every penny Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?

Pay HOA has made our tax return a breeze. It’s easy to file 1099s. Communication with members is easy with their text/email system. With a couple of clicks, we can get the word out to the entire association. Architectural reviews have become much easier. Paying vendors and receiving payments from members is a piece of cake. "Great Value and Support That Makes HOA Management Easy"

4.5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

Here's a polished review you can use:

What I like most about PayHOA is the exceptional value it provides for the cost. The platform offers a robust set of features that make managing our HOA significantly easier, from financial tracking and reporting to homeowner communications and document management. Compared to other HOA management solutions, PayHOA delivers a tremendous amount of functionality at a very reasonable price point.

Another standout feature is the customer support. The PayHOA team is responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to helping their customers succeed. Whenever we've had questions or needed assistance, support has been quick to respond and provide clear, helpful guidance. Their dedication to customer service, combined with the platform's ease of use and affordability, makes PayHOA an excellent choice for HOA management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

There is very little to dislike about PayHOA. If I had to identify an area for improvement, it would be the reporting capabilities, AI, and automation of reports. While the system provides the reports needed for day-to-day HOA management, some reports are somewhat rigid and offer limited customization options. Additional flexibility, advanced filtering, and more robust ad hoc reporting would make it even easier to analyze data and generate board-specific insights.

That said, PayHOA continues to enhance the platform, and the overall value, ease of use, and customer support far outweigh this minor limitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?

PayHOA has centralized many of our HOA's critical functions into a single, easy-to-use platform. It has simplified financial management, homeowner communications, document storage, architectural review tracking, and record keeping, eliminating the need for multiple systems and manual processes. This has improved transparency, increased efficiency, and reduced the administrative burden on our volunteer board members.

The platform also provides homeowners with convenient access to important documents, account information, and community updates, resulting in better communication and engagement. As a self-managed association, PayHOA has helped us operate more professionally while keeping costs under control, delivering significant value for both the board and the community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Love, Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review. We're really glad PayHOA has helped centralize so many of your community's critical functions, from financial management and architectural review tracking to homeowner communications and document storage. Hearing that it's reduced the administrative burden on your volunteer board, and that our support team has been responsive along the way, is exactly the kind of impact we hope to have.

Regarding reporting...more flexibility, customization, and ad hoc reporting are areas we know matter to boards, and we've passed your input along to our product team. Specifically on AI and automation, we've got a lot of exciting developments on the way.

Appreciate you being part of the PayHOA community.

"Streamlines HOA Management with Minor Communication Hiccups"

4.5/5

What do you like best about PayHOA?

I like that PayHOA helps us minimize extra work by consolidating HOA responsibilities into one platform, instead of using different applications. I also appreciate the feature that allows cabin owners to log in to their own accounts and pay their assessments online, which saves me from having to go to the post office to manually deposit checks. This feature contributes to better time management and efficiency with PayHOA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayHOA?

I would like the ability to email individual homeowners or email board members without sending it to spouses or other owners of the cabin. When you communicate, it seems like everything goes to the unit rather than to the individual. If a unit has multiple owners, everything goes to all of them rather than any one person. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PayHOA solving and how is that benefiting you?

PayHOA helps manage community interaction and reduces extra work by consolidating tasks into one platform. I like that cabin owners can log in and pay online, saving me trips to the post office and manual deposits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
